Pro Tip: the Downfire sub “Should” sound louder if you were to have a piece of wood that it sat on. Right now the sub fires or loads into your carpet, the carpet absorbs the bass. If the sub were to fire into a hard surface like a piece of wood it would give you more sound (bass) try it out and let us all know what you find out
Would Italian marble work for downfiring subwoofer ? My flooring is made of Italian marble.. Do I need to have a wooden piece under the sub or the isolation pads?
I am not 100% certain but I do believe the mesh screen (which is the majority of the unit) is actually metal, not plastic. You stated it was made from plastic which I think is only partly true. I own the same unit and it is a solid product for a great price

Just hooked this up. My sub is on hardwood and I’m about 15’ from the way where my soundbar is mounted. Audio: No clear definition between highs and mids. I put a movie on and it was just cluttered noise. Improvement on tv speakers, but what isn’t? Very disappointed in the sound quality. Bass: The sub is disappointing too. Bass hits hard but oddly hard. As if their only goal with this system is to throw bass down your throat. Very distorted and not balanced well with the highs and mids. Just doesn’t balance well and sounds cheap. Returning mine. Looking at the Polk Signa S2. We shall see how it compares.
Just picked it up from back holiday weekend sale 149euro... Haven't set it up yet. . Sounds great on the headphone it self. Can't wait to set it all up

Yes it does. But its very minimal. The sound from the tv you can hear in the subwoofer but its really to feel the low vibrations from the bass. I have the system & it bangs fr 🔊🔊🔊

I have the last generation of this sound bar. The older one has modes for, standard,sports,movie,music and voice. Plus it has an additional mode for surround sound and a night mode. It looks like JBL eliminated allot of the modes with the new one and also made the remote smaller. To be honest surround sound and sports/movie modes are the best. The other modes aren't that good.

I use portable skeaper to listen to music and while I play games. Once volume is very low ... It cuts is self off untill louder sounds can be played. Does this sound bar do same thing? My BT speaker is also a JBL. Thanks

Turn off and turn on again. It will pair automatically. There is also a pair button at the back of the sub. If it's yellow it's not paired and white light indicates paired.

Use optical audio if your TV has it. Then just use your HDMI inputs like normal. You will probably have to change the audio output in the settings on your TV.

A sound system is similar to what a movie theaters uses. I only use JBL speakers. Most theaters use JBLs.

I am having issues with bluetooth connectivity.. Sometimes sound breaks like signal issues.. It was fine before but don't know what happened

You don't have to do anything. It pairs automatically or there is a button to do it manually. Uses 5 ghz wireless to connect which is built in.

How are you trying to connect?
Just use the included HDMI cable. Make sure you plug it on HDMI(eARC) port of your TV to the HDMI(ARC) OUT of this soundbar. Work for me.

Just get an optical cable and connect it from the tv to the sound bar
