Finally got it working through ARC. One think that is really annoying is if it doesn’t detect audio sound after like 5 seconds it goes into standby mode. So for instant my son plays Minecraft, there’s no music on the game and if he stops moving and no audio is coming from the game, the sound bar will shut off. But the minute he starts walking again the audio kicks on

I own this system. It is good for home use with moderate bass effect. I brought it from dubai . It works good. Its been 1 Yr, no issues till date. Worth to cost.
I had one for years. I started hearing a buzz from the subwoofer at higher volume only when the bass was sharp and loud. Not a constant electric hum. You can remove the subwoofer from the bottom by removing the 4 screws. You may need to wiggle the whole unit while supporting the speaker to get it to fall out. The cone in the center is about 4 inches across. It is glued to the 5 inch final assembly. If you press the rubber outer ring toward the outside, you will see if the 4 inch is fully glued to the larger part. You should not see any separation. I tried hot glue but it is too thick to get below. Finally used Elmer’s Glue All. Separated the parts, dropped a dab of glue and forced the glue in with a finger. I’ll let it dry, reassemble and sound test.

Hi Sameer, your video was very informative. I plan to buy JBL 2.1 sound bar and connect it through HDMI Arc port as shown in the video. So I want to know that if I connect sound bar with HDMI Arc all the sound output of set top box, fire stick, etc will be from the sound bar instead of tv speakers, right?
how does the sub woofer work for a projector it just runs off from the sound bar? i would use optical cable

hey there. Nice video.. I have one question: What is the difference between this soundbar and the newer JBL 2.1 Deep Bass?
They're actually different bars (you can see the layout of the inputs etc are different) and obviously the deep bass version has well, deeper bass.

Very good video. I have the exact model (Bar 2.1) soundbar and will be using on a smart tv that will be coming soon. This was very helpful showing that the word "ARC" was not printed the the soundbar HDMI out port. Thank you for showing that. Also I may use the TV speakers and the soundbar at the same time depeinging if there is no latency. Thank you very much for this video.

The signal is good so long as they are in range. No wiring option.
Hi, I just got Mi Tv 4 Pro 55' along with JBL 2.1 soundbar. I have connected HDMI out in JBL and HDMI ARC in TV. I see HDMI3 got highlighted in the TV but nothing happens. I don't find an option to change sound source anywhere. Can you share is there any settings, or am i missing anything.

Hi , i had been trying the exact same set up JBL 2.1 +M1 55 and the Arc option did not work for me , tried with two different HDMI cables but with no success.... i did eventually mange to connect with set up box but with auxiliary option ...so its working as of now..but ARC option did not work ...do you think its a cable problem or something else

Yes, this might help. Which lg tv model do you have? Try changing the sound output from the TV to ARC? Maybe that’ll help.

U can connect through Hdmi-Arc (out) from sound bar to Hdmi TV(Arc).
If u have set up box, U need two Hdmi cable. Then u can connect Hdmi in from soundbar to Tv Hdmi 1.

There is a pairing button on the sub and the soundbar. You should press the 2 till they flash. Then they will connect to each other. Once the light is white and constant, then the 2 are connected.

I have jbl 2.1 soundbar and Mi 55' tv. And I connect it with HDMI ARC and it worked. But I am not able to control volume from TV remote. I tried to pair tv remote with soundbar but it does not work. Also when you restart both tv and soundbar, soundbar doesn't connect with TV automatically. Can anyone help me with this?
jitu8614 that would probably be the tv’s Software limitation to not allow you to control with ur tv remote ! And what do u mean by does not connect automatically... does the sound come or not ?
@@Mirudox now it's look likes it connects automatically when both are on. But it starts with mute in soundbar. I have to unmute to start with.
