    Do you have any repair videos on how to fix a stuck control knob? Our maching is now stuck at the beginning of the cycle and won't move to rinse , dry etc. the on/off ( temperature )knob turns fine so we can turn it in but the program knob is stuck. Thanks in advance!

    You fixed my machine! (Well, we did...). To help others: My impellor was still turning, actually quite freely, but rooting around with my finger I found a clump of hair/lint/grossness that was wrapped around the core of the impellor blades. It wasn't noticeable at first, but after pulling it out and giving it a light scrub with a pipe brush (glass straw brush) and dish soap to get rid of the light grease build up, it fixed my problem. BIG THANK YOU.

    Wow, I didn't even know you could take that off! I don't want to admit what I found wrapped round the Impellor, or stuck in the small pipe leading to it. I am now sat typing this listening to the sweet sound of a working dishwasher. Thanks so much Scott.

    I got under the sink to locate the drain hose. It’s thin and flexible. I knew it was the one because when I shake it, the water in the dishwasher is affected. So I unscrewed the hose clamp and simply blew into the hose. It’s working fine now. Thanks Scott for getting me started.

    Many thanks, Scott.
    Using the claw part of the hammer, we managed to deal with the hardest part of the job, which was to pull out the tube that holds the ball bearing, on top of which we found an olive pit perfectly lodged itself at the entrance of the hole, stopping the impeller from rotating. It was really less than a 5-minute job. Now I can show my husband how to do it, in case it happens again in the future!
    Have a good weekend.

    Hallo Scott, a really good video. I just had the problem that the water was not pumped out. And I had the problem, that the disassembly of the valve housing was a little stiff . But with your instruction to pull a little harder, it worked . In my case a little plastic part from a drings bottle blocked the impeller of the Pump. So thanks for your Video.

    THANK YOU very much that was the easiest fix I have ever done! There was a piece of plastic and some broken glass stuck under the impeller - the washer started making a funny grindy sound and we just thought uggh another planned breakdown of parts in a machine. At first I tried to just reset the machine but still the drain message came on so I saw your video and followed your steps, cleared out the well where the impeller sits (first I had to mop up the water - i used a bunch of bounty to mop it up and squeezed the sopped up water into a bowl and kept using the bounty as a sponge took 5min. once there was not water in the bottom of the machine I released the drain valve and saw the impeller - slowly put my finger in and felt stuff under the impeller - i kept turning the impeller but nothing would come out so I used 1pc of dampened bounty - twisted it up and pushed it under and through - out came all the stuff that was causing our issues. I put all the dish caddy back in - turned on the machine and put it into rinse and hold - shut the door and immediately it started the draining noise HURRAY! Since then the machine runs like new - nice and quiet.

    I emptied the dirty water from the bottom with a cup before I started the process so I could see the base. Mine must be a later model as no metal clip over the impellor just a plastic clip incorporated in the body. I found that some corn kernels (from my kids making popcorn!) had got stuck in the impellor but once out all came good. Had to turn machine on and off and on, now working again. Is it normal if you remove the non return valve that water flows back? My machine (19 yrs old) doesn't pump all water usually on the 3rd cycle of any program the inlet/drain light flashes. Sometimes it completes the program. Can it be the attachment of my drain hose? I did everything you suggested from the videos :)

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  4 года назад +1

      When you remove the valve you should get a fair amount of water coming back. Sometimes the extra water that ends up in the dishwasher isn’t a drain issue but instead it’s the fill valve not closing all the way and letting extra water come in. You could check the water level in the sump before going to bed and then the next morning see if it went up.

    • @jellevo6063
      @jellevo6063 4 года назад

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thanks for your quick response. I've watched your video about replacing the fill valve. I think the sounds you described are there.
      Should I compare the level after 1 completed program you ment? Or just level of water if the dishwasher was not used for a night? Is it typical that it switches off during the final cycle of the program in this case? (So the water gets drained for a certain amount of time and it checks the water level after that to see if it can continue the drying cycle?)

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  4 года назад +1

      That’s right, and sometimes a leaky intake valve will let water sneak in and that will cause an intake/drain light to flash.

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  6 месяцев назад

      You might have water caught in the drip tray below the dishwasher,
      That will keep the dishwasher from filling with new water.
      You can remove the two panels located below the Dishwasher Door and unplug it, and then use a sponge to sponge out the water and after that it should fill.

    Nice video.
    I'm wondering about the silver/metallic rod that (just as big as a drill bit) sticks out at the very bottom at the drainage area.
    what is it for? I accidentally pushed it in and don't know how to retrieve it.

      Hi Eric,
      That’s the temperature sensor.
      Just unplug your Miele.
      Remove the panels below the door and reach in and push it back out👍

    Can you check the air gap up near the kitchen faucet to make sure it isn’t clogged?
