Thank you so much for this video! I followed your steps and it saved us time and money! Do you have any repair videos on how to fix a stuck control knob? Our maching is now stuck at the beginning of the cycle and won't move to rinse , dry etc. the on/off ( temperature )knob turns fine so we can turn it in but the program knob is stuck. Thanks in advance!
You fixed my machine! (Well, we did...). To help others: My impellor was still turning, actually quite freely, but rooting around with my finger I found a clump of hair/lint/grossness that was wrapped around the core of the impellor blades. It wasn't noticeable at first, but after pulling it out and giving it a light scrub with a pipe brush (glass straw brush) and dish soap to get rid of the light grease build up, it fixed my problem. BIG THANK YOU.
Wow, I didn't even know you could take that off! I don't want to admit what I found wrapped round the Impellor, or stuck in the small pipe leading to it. I am now sat typing this listening to the sweet sound of a working dishwasher. Thanks so much Scott.

I got under the sink to locate the drain hose. It’s thin and flexible. I knew it was the one because when I shake it, the water in the dishwasher is affected. So I unscrewed the hose clamp and simply blew into the hose. It’s working fine now. Thanks Scott for getting me started.
Hi Scott , you made my day! Thank you very much. It's indeed a piece of glass in there. A plumber here in Germany is very expensive and you saved me about 200 euros. 1000 thanks!
Thank you so much for taking the time to create and share this video. It helped me fix a issue where a rogue grape was causing a blockage. Saved me £100 in fallout charges. Wonderful stuff.
I bought a SC G 621 plus in 2001 in Germany. This was the second time in 16 years I had a problem. The first time I used a long thin piece of metal for the circulation pump and now this (another problem) video has saved me again. Thx
Thank you so much. We apparently have had this problem, at least to some extent, for quite some time. We had paid several hundred dollars a while back to try to get it fixed, though it didn't help. We are confident that this has fixed it. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much. Found some hair in the impeller, which had tangled up the rotor, removed with tweezers, and wallah! During Covid, it's really great to learn this stuff and save some money for my family.
Thank-you so much! I'm a pensioner and a widow and really impractical but have to try and deal with things like this. I watched your video twice then had a go and removed a cherry stone a bit of plastic and managed to put it back together again. And it works! You don't know just how momentous this is for me - thank-you, thank-you THANK-YOU
Thanks a lot. I just discovered and removed a cherry stone, which partly blocked the metal ball. That surely saved my quite a few euros!!! (My wife had almost called a technician from Miele!)
Many thanks, Scott. Using the claw part of the hammer, we managed to deal with the hardest part of the job, which was to pull out the tube that holds the ball bearing, on top of which we found an olive pit perfectly lodged itself at the entrance of the hole, stopping the impeller from rotating. It was really less than a 5-minute job. Now I can show my husband how to do it, in case it happens again in the future! Have a good weekend. Tam
Hi Scott, thanks, just got back from the store and there was water on the floor :-( Found your video and 10 mins later Miele is chugging on again - thanks a million, much appreciated (Keith in Switzerland)
Thank you Scottthefixitguy - I had some lemon pips stuck in the non return valve so the ball bearing wouldn't move. I love it when I can fix it and save myself massive call out charges. Fab!!!
I did all of the steps and didn't find any obstructive objects. I finally went in the garage and grabbed the shopvac and just sucked out whatever was in the holes. Closed the door, turned it back on and it worked! Hope I didn't cause any potential harm, but as of now (5 minutes ago) its running and were doing a load. Thanks Scott!
Thank you!!! We were just about to pull the whole dishwasher out, because we were sure the problem was in the pipe. Took us literally 3 minutes to fix the problem.
Thank you so very much as i did what you said and found a chip of a plate had the pump stuck...so put it on a few mins ago and it is running perfectly...
Hallo Scott, a really good video. I just had the problem that the water was not pumped out. And I had the problem, that the disassembly of the valve housing was a little stiff . But with your instruction to pull a little harder, it worked . In my case a little plastic part from a drings bottle blocked the impeller of the Pump. So thanks for your Video.
Hi Scott, Thanks for the video. My Miele is a different model and has a different return valve. Principle is the same. Now that is fixed, my wife has to wait a few more years for a new dishwasher.

THANK YOU very much that was the easiest fix I have ever done! There was a piece of plastic and some broken glass stuck under the impeller - the washer started making a funny grindy sound and we just thought uggh another planned breakdown of parts in a machine. At first I tried to just reset the machine but still the drain message came on so I saw your video and followed your steps, cleared out the well where the impeller sits (first I had to mop up the water - i used a bunch of bounty to mop it up and squeezed the sopped up water into a bowl and kept using the bounty as a sponge took 5min. once there was not water in the bottom of the machine I released the drain valve and saw the impeller - slowly put my finger in and felt stuff under the impeller - i kept turning the impeller but nothing would come out so I used 1pc of dampened bounty - twisted it up and pushed it under and through - out came all the stuff that was causing our issues. I put all the dish caddy back in - turned on the machine and put it into rinse and hold - shut the door and immediately it started the draining noise HURRAY! Since then the machine runs like new - nice and quiet.
