Thanks for the useful video. However, when I followed the procedure I found nothing that would have triggered the F11 error, so I suspected blockage in the drain hose under the sink. I removed the drain hose from the garbage disposal unit under the sink to see if the problem was there. It is easy: it is held on by a hose clamp that you can remove with an ordinary philips screwdriver. The hose was backed up at the end for about two inches with pieces of vegetables. There was blockage at the drain port on the garbage disposal which I poked all the way into the disposal unit with a stick. There was also blockage at the end of the drain hose, which I removed by bending a piece of wire into a J-shape and scooping it out. The rest of the hose was clear. So first follow the advice in this excellent video (which you should do periodically anyway) but also disconnect the drain hose from the garbage disposal to see if it is blocked there.
I have just had a Miele engineer round to fix my dishwasher. The non return valve in older models like mine were made in two parts that were glued together. The glue had perished so the valve was in two halves that caused the water not to drain. The replacement part has been modified and is now made from one piece only. Working fine now and the part was not expensive.

hi,thank you so much my dishwasher had error cide f13 I did exactly what you showed in the video and never knew there was another part that you have to clean,there was nothing in that part but washed it and cleaned the filter too,it worked.thank you.

Thank you for you video. I had the problem with the drain flushing light.. I found out it was my return valve that was causing the problem. My valve was not stuck but the ball felt a bit hard to move. I did not have any foreigh object inside the valve.There are videos on youtube that show how to replace the vavle. Instead orf replacing the valve I just put some olive oil inside, let it bath in it for few minutes and it works like new. The rubber got softer with oil and does not hold the metal ball inside,. This happends in older dishwasher. It is a easy fix to try.

After program is finished, the water is pumped properly. But after a few days, the water creeps up. I’ve replaced the non return valve, it worked only for 2 months. Now I have the same problem again, the water from the sink seems to come into the dishwasher. My Miele is 15 years old.

Should the check ball be that loose? Mine does not wiggle around like that.
