    Really enjoy Jonathan Koh reviews. Always thoughtful, fair, and backed by excellent playing. I think it would be interesting to see Jonathan do four future videos in which he tells us how he would build an entire guitar rig for $500, $1000, $1500, and $2000. Based on price only. No taxes. Would include everything down to cords and strap! Maybe viewers could build their own rigs in the comments?

    String change is a little bit of hassle and has truely a learning curve. Even the rest setup is very tricky. Allthough i liked the concept and it really sounded great (had the Ice Blue one with Roasted Neck) i sent it back due to all those small little screws and parts and the fact that they can get lost easily. But i even need to admit it had a true top notch tuning stability due to the Double Locking concept, once tuned it will nearly never again go out of tune. I have some videos of it here on YT. Oh, your playing BTW was very very soulful!

    OK, now that guitar going into whatever you are plugged into has great tone that fits well with the backing track you chose to play over...OK, just looked in the description...plugged into UA Apollo twin Duo then into Helix Native...and it says you created the backing track...nice work...what makes me think of a headless guitar is when I'm playing in a band and the stage is really small, and I keep knocking the headstock of my guitar onto the keyboardist's rack, hahaha! I don't have one, but they've been out long enough now that I'm finally getting kind of used to seeing them, even though I have rarely seen anyone use them...Eddie Van Halen used his Steinberger for a while, the guy from Mountain...gotta look up his name...Leslie West...Alan Holdsworth with his Carvin/ Kiesel signature models...anyway, paused to comment...thanks for posting another video and hope you and yours are well!

I guess Fedora basses started making these Abasi type guitars . . .but none for guitars . (mainly basses). . .The seven string and even eight string guitars are starting to get big . . .People are buying more seven strings now, than in the past . . .Anyway . . .thank you for reviewing Harley Benton, once again . . . • @truthseeker057
      @truthseeker057 3 года назад

      @@JonIsJustTooLoud Thanks Jonathan, but bear in mind that the original 22 fret Dullahan came out well before the pandemic, plus the fact that the same supplier for the headless bridge already had a tremolo model. Harley Benton also already have many models featuring a Strat type tremolo, and the routing for the tremolo cavity is exactly the same, so how hard would it have been for them, considering the number of players asking for this on their forum? By the way I didn’t comment on your actual presentation, but it was one of the best I’ve heard. To my ears the Dullahan really sings! There are many advantages to going headless, the least of which being far less tendency to neck dive, but it also influences tone and sustain. If you ever get the chance to try out an original 80’s Steinberger headless I am sure you will love it 😊

      I would love dearly to win one of these. It would be a keeper because it's certainly a fine instrument. But I cannot pay for one because it looks---- I dunno----- incomplete. As though Jonathan is trying it out to ensure all is functioning before taking it back to the bench to finally attach the headstock. But if you like it Jon I accept as gospel that the "Ichabod" is as you demonstrate so capably----- A guitar worthy of consideration. A light body guitar, which I prefer, can have a neck drop problem. If I actually held one of these in my arms, found it to be well balanced, I bet I would suddenly be more open minded set aside my obsession with "the look". Thanks for this review.
