Hi again Whitney! I am going to make this RAINBOW bag this weekend.....love the colors you used!! Keep bringing the projects for us beginners. You make sewing so much fun. This is just only my 4th hobby, outside of making greeting cards, candles, and of course, my jewelry!
Awesome bag Whitney! Love the pop of color with the rainbow stripe. You always come up with the neatest things! I’ve made bags like this and they are so useful in keeping things organized. Will have to make one like this one. Love how it looks. Hope y’all are all settled in and doing well. Hugs! 💜🌷🦜
I'd be very interested in seeing a basic bag made with different types of closures so that we can learn the pros and cons of using say Velcro versus snaps.
For the cinch style bags just add a tab with a large grommet into the side seams at the lower edges when they are sewn together (make sure its sturdy and sewn over several times. Then wham adding the drawstrings thread through the grommet on the side before tying. Test the length when clinched to make sure it fits before cutting excess cord. Hope that helps
I am a new subscriber and I love your video's!! This bag is beautiful. I'm not sure if you did a video on this (a large draw string sweater size bag? A bag that a knitter can put there growing project inside.) If yes can you tell me which video to watch. Thank you so such for sharing.
@@Whitney_Sews perfectttttt thanks chickie poo!!!!!... exactly what I needed! .. just going to make the tie bit more robust.. big hugs girl.. thank youuu.. I knew you would know/help..!!! making now!!!
What is a konmari box exactly? I've heard of konmari, but don't know what the boxes look like. Is it anything like this? ruclips.net/video/FwRwJbLH4CI/видео.html
First link in the video description box will take you to the page on my website where you can get the PDF. All my PDFs are free right now, but you still need to add to cart and go through checkout. Then there is a purple box to click to download to your device.
Purchased the PDF file for this bag but never received the download link! No easy way to contact Whitney directly to resolve the issue. Website does not have a clear-cut customer service option to address these matters which is why I am forced to make some kind of comment here where it will never be seen! My loss their gain....
As soon as you checked out there was a purple box to click to instantly download the PDF. If you made an account you can log in at anytime to access the PDF. My email is Whitneysews(at)gmail(dot)com and I can be reached there or on my Facebook page anytime you need assistance. I will go ahead and send your PDF to the email linked to your PayPal that was used at checkout. Let me know if there is anything else you need.
Update! Whitney takes care of business immediately! Not to mention keeping an eye on her video comments and responds in a promp and courteous manner. Thank you so much Whitney and I apologize for being a bit testy, sorry....
I love watching you. I am a 66 year old grandmother. Have you ever made a cross body bag? I think they are called. I like to walk to the store. My bag I made myself is a shoulder bag. If I'm carrying very much I have a hard time keeping it on my shoulder. I have seen them but have never made one.

Great bag! Love the rainbow 🌈🧶😊
very sweet bag. I make satin pillowcases and have multi colors of satin fabric scraps. This will be a great way to use some of them up. THX
Thanks Whitney! I'm going to make one of these for my grandkids next birthdays. That way they'll have a gift and a bag made by Nana 💜

Drawsgring backpack using same fabric for the string
Love your tutorials. Have you made a window (plastic) drawstring or zipper bag that is lined so no raw edges show? Would love to see one.
I believe the only one I've done was unlined and it was several years ago
Whitney Sews - I’d love to see you do a tutorial on one.
Hi Whitney, great tutorial. The rainbow stripe is a really nice eyecatcher in the drawstring bag 😉 xoxo from Germany, Stephanie
Cute!
Very nice! I would love to see if you could tackle the zipuptraypouch seen on Instagram! Thanks for the tutorials!
Love it
I really love this drawstring bag, but could you do a drawstring backpack? I would love to make one!

@@Whitney_Sews OK! thank you!
Love your channel, I would like to see a wallet . Also I would like to see a tour of your new house since you have moved in and are settled. Thanks
I probably won't do a moved in tour because I don't want everyone to know where we keep personal belongings.

How big would it need to be? I don't knit, so I don't know How much room something like that would take up
I'm going to try and make this.
Would you be able to make a small backpack for toddlers?
would also like to see how I could make this into a small backpack
God bless well done
I need to make Vendors apron... need 3 compartments with security zips.. any suggestions?... is for vending on street.. hotdogs..thanks girl

I don’t have the PDF, it doesn’t download. Can you please send it to me?
Next time that you use cording, you can use a lighter to burn the edges so that they will not unravel
This wasn't the right type for burning the ends.
make some konmari boxes!!
