Lmao “This was not part of the plan… HOW DID I FORGET THE FUCKING SHOVELS” was so funny
Also "you're gonna shoot your dick off" lol
Reminds of that one SpongeBob episode
I'm dying!
Yessss that part made me laugh too!
He broke into his comedy character for a second..
An $800.00 budget, and so much better than a lot of Horror movies being released. A Simple story, executed near perfectly. I do hope Curry Barker, and Cooper Tomlinson puts out more material soon. These guys clearly have talent. Thanks for posting.
Seriously only $800!!!! 😮
Proof that big budget doesn’t always equal quality film
800 for what? Fine for DUI?
The budget looks much higher then $800, there's a lot of actors in this, if the budget was that low then what they exploited all these people and didn't pay them? that's not a good thing.
@@Lono69 they are thier friends lol
Dude coopers acting is one of the best of the moment, and curry’s mind of short films is insane. Loved this film 9.3/10

"What do you mean you don't like it? What do you mean you don't like it?" the best lines from any serial killer. If anything tops that, then it's only "What's your favorite scary movie?"
Bravo. I was so encapsulated. At first I couldn’t help but wait for the goofy antics. But.. there was none. Amazing writing, scene setups, on the fly acting, camera angles, acting, audio, suspenseful. That was so brilliant. Truly. You bois are onto something fantastic. I can’t believe that this was free to watch. Thank you.
This.
This was great man. Hope these guys get a big budget and blow up because this was amazing. $800 budget is insane for how good this was.
Chris Stuckman sent me here through his review. Thank you
I just want to say thank you, Curry. This makes me want to make a short film again. Since graduating, I’ve felt kinda hopeless finding time, energy, and money to make anything. But this gave me that hope, so thank you. I would love to work with you someday :)

This is so good. I'm impressed. The guy who plays the psycho is awesome. The scenes where he's wearing the mask are legitimately chilling.
when movies are lower budget it normally takes me out of the immersion but wow i was so invested
whaaaaaaat?! _bro_ I do NOT watch films on YT. Came here from Kent Lamm's suggestion. That gripped me the whole time. Absolutely stunning work. Phenominal acting. wow wow wow.
This has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time and it was just made by some dudes on RUclips. God I hate mainstream media, please keep this up!
That was great! The ending was NUTS! Who picked up the camera!!!!??? That was great you guys. Everyone really felt like real, maybe it was the subversion with all the pranks overlapping in the first half, but something about not knowing who to trust turning into knowing exactly who to not trust, was an awesome flip, and then just pure anxiety and dread from that point. Wild ride, I loved it.
My opinion: Milk did not die, remember he pretty meticulous in his planning... I guess the first shot is blank
Remember, he said about piecing the piece together and unalive the victim before Seven shoot. I guess saying everything near to Seven is are part of the plan
@@fahmieyzsI didn't even consider that, but I think you are 100% right
@@fahmieyzs Dang! Of course he put a blank in it. I think you're right. He frickin pulled it off.
It was pretty amazing! My dumbass, fully knowing this was not a supernatural horror, kept staring into the darkness under the couch expecting some thing to grab the camera lmao 😂
My theory is also that the first shot was a blank, and he gambled that seven would do that. Milk is a bastard
Those final frames after the credits are a really intriguing touch, i like the ambiguity, nice work guys!
You nailed the suspense. I would have loved to see more of these characters! You could have made a feature length film easily!
This was the best found footage horror ive ever seen, and it was free to watch??? I cant wait for the ones
(spoilers below)
This is such a good film, watching such a slow descent of everything sliding into place is beautifully horrific. The writing and characters had me on edge the entire time and I was so heavily invested in Milk and the way he justifies himself that Seven isn't really a good person. The details are really good too, as it ended I realized Milk puts his finger down on hurting an animal and harm to animals as a kid is a common trait among serial killers. There was a lot of care put into every part of this film and I'm so excited to rewatch and get to analyze it all over again and pick up on new details
Youdo that you little scallywag champ you!
I rhought about the cat killing as a kid connetion when it happened....then just got sweeped away and forgot lol
One of my favorite details was when they go to the old mans house for the "first" time. The old man turns to milk and says "i fucking hate you" because he told bim no cameras!
There was a lot of foreshadowing, from milk always calling it a "plan" instead of a "prank" to him saying he promises seven wont go to jail (bc he was planning on killing him) and I really like the idea of a "found footage serial killer movie" where the killer is doing the filming.
One thing that I think hasn't been caught is that no one tampered with the bullets in the gun after Milk, meaning he was counting them in he's head and accounted for seven shooting at Milk than himself, meaning he's likely the one who picks up the camera
@@kmcgwhoisalsoapoliwrath3723 I noticed that too, glad I watched to the end
I hope dead meat does a kill count of this
The ending was satisfying then depressing because i genuinely felt bad for seven during everything that happened like shooting the old guy to watching a man get stabbed in the neck
Oh, then you are better off not watching it till the VERY end 💀
Dear Curry Barker, I want to tell you that I am a big fan and aficionado of horror movies. And let me tell you that his debut in this genre is extremely impressive, the direction, the plot, the writing, the narrative, the performances of the cast, the rhythm, the atmosphere, the tension and the use of the hand-held camera is phenomenal. I've seen this movie three times now, and the truth is I compared it to Patrick Brice's Creep (2014) and Creep 2 (2017). If this film had been released in theaters, it would have been a hit if it had the right marketing, distribution, and word of mouth to receive greater recognition. Keep it up, brother.
Thank you very much for this movie, dear friend. Greetings and blessings, brother.
Postscript: Now I value much more that comedians make their film debut in the horror genre like Jordan Peele.
Love when found footage is heavily edited with a sound track.
Yall could have made millions at the box office. The acting is a little too good, real spooky
Too many horror movies feature youthful characters who are annoying/shallow/shrill/etc. The players here are real and engaging, a sizable step up from the competition. Bravo!

Amazing. Gave me the chills.
Dang this did not feel like an hour. By the end of the premier, I thought only 10 minutes had passed by. Fantastic job!
this feels like a fresh breath of air for both found footage and psychological thrillers, there was so much lurking under the surface that came together so well!
I liked it. No need to ask me what I mean, because I did like it.
I mean, I knew the dude was a red flag when he casually said he killed a cat when he was a child....great film!!
Fuck you for spoiling shit.
No wonder he had so much friends
Seven - "that's tough."
Milk - "yeah."
I could see how he was thinking about how tough it was for a kid to kill a cat and not that it's tough to deal with that like seven meant.
😮 you know, it explains it, but I wanted to believe it was like an accident
The fact that he was played by Curry Barker was what gave it away for me.
Me in the beginning: I can't believe Curry is playing the normal character for once.
Curry: Let's see the setup. *creepy smiles*
The cat thing gave it away for me. Great movie.
@lucidstream5661 The others at least gave an explanation i.e. hunting, car accident, but him dancing around an explanation made me extremely uneasy. "It's not something you're supposed to do..." is just so sinister, but they sweep it under the rug because their dear friend wouldn't do something like that intentionally; that's crazy talk. Really natural reasoning. I liked that a lot.

My first exposure to That's a Bad Idea was their other short horror film 'WARNINGS' and that was such a banger that I subscribed. I was so thrown off for several months with their comedy, which is not to say that it isn't clever, refreshing, and hilarious. That being said, its so nice to see them go back to horror with another creepy, unpredictable, and suspenseful film.
Change my mind: Comedians make the best horror writers…
Grate writers make the best horror movies
For real. Jordan Peele not only makes me laugh, but his movies are out of this world terrifying.

Holy shit this was the best one yet Curry! This was genuinely disturbing in a lot of parts and it flowed well as a movie! Somebody needs to fund you guys for a bigger production. Great acting all around too. Cooper nailing it again in yet another one of these fantastic horror films! Seriously flawless work on this one and I loved it! Keep the streak going!
I wholeheartedly agree, looking at what they can do with "just a camera and some friends," a big budget is so deserved, they're one of the only people/creators/directors creating good, original horror content nowadays imo
The problem is, I don’t know if this movie is a genius production or a scary confession to real crimes. The perfect combo!
Clearly it's not really about the funding. Gotta break out of the big studio mentality, man. Independent films become the talk of the world for a reason and a big part of that reason is people relishing to see what can be done with talent instead of money. People get so sick of the opposite.
@@hyperbaroque Yeah I agree. If they ever do get funding for some big project like a Netflix series or something, they should never EVER relinquish complete creative control. It would be kind of curious to see what Curry could come up with if he had big backing.
@@JudgeDrey That was basically my reasoning behind bigger funding. I agree with @hyperbaroque though too. Indy is better than big budget 99.8 percent I'd say. But yeah, with a big budget, I'd love to see what Curry does!
"Life's unfair. You're unlucky." This is one that should be in the record books.

clive barker's grandson...lol jk
Idk, I personally connected more with him because of that. For you to be this good at writing stuff like this takes writing skills of course, but it can also take you making it through some heavy shit.
I loved them both in their funny shorts but this gave me a new level of appreciation and respect for him. His mind is amazing to me because of what it can create and how much I can relate to how it does so (the way he portrayed dreams is one thing that I love because it's exactly what I experience), I'm honestly fascinated at how good this content is and how drained it can leave you after watching it, because it feels so real and disturbing. What a good film from this genre should make you feel from making you experience so many things at the same time.
"SAY IT BACK"
...that was the best delivery for that piece of dialogue of the movie, just gold!
That also really stood out to me as well. I feel like a good majority of people won't really see the significance of that, but, I've unfortunately known a few people who would've also felt it completely necessary to say the same thing in that situation as well. Not saying those people were also SK's, but it's most definitely a certain personality trait that is exhibited by those that seem a lil mentally off.
If someone has to TELL you to say something back like that, when it is SO already obviously implied, due to the possible consequences being completely equal for both involved, that means they are someone who likes to have control over others and does not actually care about your wellbeing, but only looks out for themselves. This scene for example, Milk says he's not gunna let Seven go to jail. He means every word he says, but he doesn't say it because he cares about Seven and wants to protect him. He says it because if he lets him go to jail, then that means HE HIMSELF will ALSO go to jail. He is an accessory and a conspirator to homicide. He would be just as cooked as Seven. In fact, with all the evidence on tape, Seven would almost definitely get significantly LESS prison time than Milk.
Cheers and glad you noticed that as well!
Its really awesome because it's milk covering he's one possible problem which is seven turning them in before he's grand finale, by making him promise he's making seven feel accountable for his friends future
@@FilthTribeFTP In my experience, it's not about control. It's about deep insecurity. They need to hear it to believe it. It needs to be said out loud to be real because the implication isn't enough. They want you to say it back so that they know it's reciprocated, an equal exchange of willingness to look out for each other.
There's something so creepy about the way Milk carries himself when he's around Seven. Seven freaks out while he just sort of tries to blend in.

Milk gradually becoming more unsettling was great, I hated Seven in the beginning, but felt awful for him later. Greig's entrance was my favorite. When they find him upstairs at 13:20 .. so good. The whole cast had their standout moments. Reminded me of the more unhinged "prank" channels from the past, particularly Sam Pepper's infamous kidnapping video.

It's a great satire of "prank" channels. Assholes go around harassing and terrorizing people and calling it a prank all the time, so having a literal psychopath run a prank channel and start murdering people as a joke is genius writing.

I love how at the first of the movie it starts off with seven saying "You're my partner in crime". Im going to watch it all again right now. I bet there are so many hidden gems throughout. Amazing job Curry and everyone who made this happen. Just incredible
Then he goes "naahh that sounded weird" they never were partners in crime because seven was the victim and milk planned the whole thing
The "I wont let you go to jail" was foreshadowing for the ending.
Also when Milk says he'd never hurt his friends he is being truthful whether it be argued that he wasn't sevens friend or because he's not physically doing anything to him
@@kmcgwhoisalsoapoliwrath3723 I was curious about that comment too.

Nothing wrong with jump scares as long as the rest of the movie is scary too. But that's the problem for modern horror movies, they're not scary. Too much focus on psychological horror. It's getting boring.

Yall like this just because it's not Hollywood not because it's any good😂
"filmed on a calculator" - the editor's prolly crying in a corner after seeing that.
Since when where short films an hour long
Check out the movie seven
I heavily disagree, There's plenty of truly amazing horror films,
Just the western countries have a agenda.
But there's so many great horrorying south korean films.
Japanese and Chinese film.
I've seen some amazing aussie horro films.
Look at black myth wukong that game made in china and it's most played single player adventure game ever on steam .
Point being you want great and not influenced by politics or opinions then go outside western countries.
