Got carried away watching Mortal Kombat 11 PS4 tournament and missed the premiere. Hot damn orange man Donny smashin it with the 8s. I've seen some of these guys work on Metal Blade Records and they're fuggin awesome right up on the tier list for instrumental shred band.

If you’re looking for some killer instrumental stuff, I’d recommend Russian Circles as a bigger band, but for a smaller band that I fucking dig, check out a band called Consider the Source. They’re badass!

Interesting band, like the progressive tune If you like that, you would likely enjoy Intervals, Pomegranate Tiger, Angel Vivaldi (Martian Winter for sure) Blue Stahli, Octavision etc. if you can find live versions or some for to react to excellent.
For a more folk instrumental cannot go wron with Nightwish- Last of the Wilds aka ("Erämaan Viimeinen") but with Finnish vocals
plus: Ally the Fiddle, Ephyra, F.R.A.M, etc

Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne has a sideproject called Soften the Glare that sounds exactly like this, proggy/jazzy stuff.
