  • @sugoruyo

The most important gear in Amon Amarth shows:
    - Drinking horns! skål!
    - Mjolnir to smash Jormungandr's face in.
    - Neck brace for after the show.
    - Beard oil (at least 2 inches facial growth promotion per hour of Amon Amarth)
Amon Amarth's catalog is this level of intensity and aggression all the way through. No nonsense Swedish melodic death metal talking about Vikings, raids, fighting, Norse gods and sheer brutality.
This is the soundtrack of the Viking training montage. If you ain't raiding the coastline of Western Europe after 2 albums of I don't know what to tell ya.

If you like Amon Amarth, then you should check out TÝR. They're a viking metal band from the Faroe Islands. Been around for over 20 years and have 8 full studio albums.
Earlier this year they filmed a full concert with the Faroe Island Symphony Orchestra. Absolutely killer music.
Edit: heads up, some songs are in English, while others are in Faroese.

    • @ranekeisenkralle8265
      @ranekeisenkralle8265 3 года назад +1

Good suggestion. As far as i am concerned Tyr is everyday-metal (along with Sabaton), whereas Amon Amarth is reserved for ...special occasions. The type of special occasion that involves various blades and plenty of anger.

So, let's do some Amon Amarth now ! Fucking good choice ! Though I'd argue "Twilight of the Thunder God", "Deceiver of the Gods", "Embrace of the Endless Ocean", "Under the Northern Star" (a death metal ballad this one), "Cry of the Black Birds", "Guardians of Asgaard" or "Gods of War Arise" would have been even more epic.
And since we're talking Vikings, can I just say (yeah, I know, not the first time I'm gonna type these words and definitely not the last one either), I'd fucking love for you to check Skalmold (live with the orchestra). Either Kvadning or Hel... these two songs (and that orchestra !) will blow your mind !

They have 3 singers, 2 that typically trade or duet, and a third that is mostly spoken song, and they have some seriously catchy songs. For the channel, I'd recommend either One or Njord. In general, I'd say Siblings of Metal is their most self-describing song.

Tank I have to say I love your channel. I love watching people react to some of my favorite bands. I humbly implore you to consider the following. Ensiferum - Ad Victorium/Blood is the Price of Glory, Powerwolf - Sanctified With Dynamite, Kalmah - Heroes to Us, Norther - Death Unlimited, Equilibrium - Renegade - A Lost Generation, Beast in Black - Blind and Frozen, Arch Enemy - You Will Know My Name, In Flames - Deliver Us. I have a ton of suggestions for your taste and a lot of them are less known in the US.

@@TankTheTech Kalmah, is a very underappreciated band. Heros to Us doesnt lend itself well to reaction videos since there are no lyric videos or music videos or good live recordings but Evil Kin has an official lyric video that is just killer

I see what you did there! Amon Amarth, In Flames and Soilwork... We are so blessed to have Swedish Metal! 🤘
I was lucky enough to see them a few days before quarantine started, yet everytime I hear them, I crave for another beastly show!

Sweden constantly pumps out my favorite metal. Add Orbit Culture in with that mix and you’ve got 4 of some of my favorite bands currently.

I missed the live!!! Well, my body threw me a NAP, and as any insomniac will tell you, if the veils lift and offer a NAP!!! Yeah, I got about an hour's snooze in, it was MAGIC!!! I am half Swedish and I heartily approve of this video! MORE!!!
By the way. if you are interested, I bet you could find someone where you are to teach you the use of broadsword and axe. Or even the Sea axe. Go for it!!!

First song I ever heard by them was "Death in Fire" and it concreted an interest so heavily. It was the first thing I had ever heard like that back in the day. I'd love to see your reaction to it!

    Some Amon Amarth suggestions.
A thousend years of opression live, and Across the rainbrow bridge live (I think both where at Bloadshead over bachum).
If you want some two song stories I recomend
hermods ride to hell And then the second song Töcks taunt. (They jump in towards the end of one of the last stories from the gods).
Also, The Last stand of Frej and the song Destroyer of the universe.
On some other songs I have to say Warriors of the north is one of my favorites.
