Jerry, I always look into support systems I can use to regress a movement. When my knees can’t bend I: sit up on a block, put a towel/rolled up mat behind my knee, sit on a chair, etc. I find myself often in a 50% unfortunately/50% fortunately position … unfortunately, I don’t have a personal PT on call to help me address the way my body moves, but, fortunately, I do have RUclips/Blog/Insta PTs to learn from. Thank goodness. And we have Julia, who has opened our eyes with her amazing mobility routines! I’ve read that it can take some of us 2+ months to improve mobility in a body joint with regular, consistent training. It took time for us to lose our mobility, and it can take time (and hard work) to regain it.
Yoo two things one the 90 90 switch is saving my life but how do you best ground your sits bones? I find myself unintentionally scootching forward while doing the reps idk if there’s any mind body connection you can suggest? Also when do you know you’re ready to advance? Thanks for all you practices girl!
If you find these too difficult, make sure to check out the slow mobility flow I just uploaded or the beginner-friendly hip mobility routine. Also look out for regression exercises top left corner as modifications. :)
