A tiny little kitten showed up at our back door (we live out in the country) just a couple of weeks ago. She was probably only 5-6 weeks old. We couldn't find any other kittens or a momma cat anywhere around. We decided to take her in. At first I thought she was just a tabby with spots, but now I'm really believing she's a Savannah. She has the large ears, long legs, spots on the sides and belly, very vocal, and intelligent. Has loads of energy and plays fetch already. We absolutely love her, but already realize she's going to be destructive lol. Thanks for the video, it gave me some ideas to help keep her occupied when she's not sleeping.

      I'm so happy for you!
I have my Savannah curled by my side as I write.
They do require A LOT of interaction. Being retired helps.

I have a savannah, I work 8h a day and leave him alone.
But belive me when I say a savannah need toys, different kind of toys.
I have 2 big cat trees for him to enjoy and also a smaller one and 2 tiny scratching/hideouts for him.
So it's not a problem to leave them alone, but you need to prepare the cat.
I started with a few weeks home, then I started to leave him alone at lunch time, then weekends half a day, just to get him to understand that I won't be home all day.
They are super intelligent and learn all your routines (all food times) even in the weekends he want his food the same time as always.
    He is always around me..
Forget shower or going to the toilet alone 😆 🤣
Also, be prepared to set aside 1h play time every day.
Very important for bonding but also so the cat learns around that time is playtime.
Super curious, friendly, loving animal that will guard you (literally) but be prepared to invest time and money.....alot of time.

Savannah cats can possibly be a cross with a siamese cat. However, not generally. Most often a Serval is bred with a female Egyptian Mau, Ocicat, Oriental Shorthair, and Domestic Shorthair. All of these cats have features that keep the "wild" appearance of a Savannah. My Savannah was "out crossed" with an Egyptian Mau. My good friend had a Savannah that was an "ou crossed" with a Bengal cat. Both stunning cats and with the most living personalities.

😎👍👍👍Ok there is an invasion of Savanna's! I also have rescued A Savanna Domestic Hybrid! WOW WHAT A CAT!!!! Getting a savanna and keeping it are two different things. Too many Savanna's have gotten "Away" from their owners, and gone wild, and are interbreeding with Our Domestics! If you think the overpopulation of STREET CAT'S was bad before, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN YET!!! ❤❤❤

And by anger I really meant that they are stubborn they will do what they want, and if you try to correct them be prepared to see the claws and hear the hiss

how about foxes and predator birds?! what cat breed can handle the wild life best if one got it as an outside-inside cat 20%-80% at the countryside?!
I had a Russian blue that was huge and came wild to our cottage house when it was 4-6 months old... it could live for a month alone hunting and getting access to the lawn where we had a heating lamp, a really cozy cave for him with water and food for a month when we were back in the city... He learned to fight off foxes, predators of all sorts and other cats... but now I really like to try a new and a really large cat breed!
Maybe some breeds' fur makes those cat breeds look larger than the a russian blue!?
-What cat breeds can you strength exercise and feed best compared to other breeds to make it really strong and able to handle itself as a good hunter living both inside and outside on the countryside!?
The Russian Blue had no issues with handling the Swedish Winters either... But now we really like a larger breed and a serious athletic hunter as our next cat! 😻what breeds to look into?! thanks
