The greatest find I made going through my old ribbons/awards were all the "Oops" ribbons we got when we DQ'd as little ones (and maybe bigger ones, too). I love that the swim community was turning mistakes into fun learning opportunities long before participation trophies became controversial.
Awesome video! I made my daughter keep all her awards, medals, etc. Her future kids will appreciate them😊 along with her walk down memory lane. The thing I really appreciate about this sport is the goal setting aspect. I swear, every swimmer masters that task which carries over to all areas of life more than any other sport. Her goal was getting recruited/scholarship for D1 which she achieved. Now she has a biology degree and works in the medical field and makes bank😁. Still incredibly fit and is always setting goals and achieving them. So grateful she found this sport.
I love this vlog! I remember the old days before the era of social media. I remember when I was 13, I was the top swimmer of my age in the country and we have this magazine called “ Swim Magazine “ and I was featured in one of the monthly issue. Your vlog somehow helped on my post retirement feeling haha. keep on vlogging my idol❤
Hey Cody is it beneficial to do on training sprints in strokes you don't swim on competitions? I am asking because I ve seen you doing sprint sets in backstroke or butterfly and I wonder if i should also do sprint sets in strokes i dont race
My favorite part is at 6:34 on….

I love the goal setting sheet at 7:48. Such a great tool to keep junior swimmers focused and motivated!!

I thing even now, if young swimmers keep every thing simple and just do old school things they can be more focused … great video by the way
I have the same bobble head award
Speaking of CrossFit, the games usually have some kind of swimming component.
But did she include any Skittles?
