Thank you for the presentation. You mention the aerobic benefits of swimming. You might also mention that swimming can become anaerobic. For those people who are interested in keeping their blood glucose low, during anaerobic exercise, glucose is infused directly into muscle cells, which bypasses the normal insulting induced process.
@@carnivoredownunder First I was imprecise in stating that anaerobic exercise reduce blood glycose. Yes, swimming does all the things emphasized here including increasing (or helping to preserve) bone density. Those who say otherwise are not treating swimming as a serious exercise, which it definitely can be (is!) if done long enough, and with expenditure of energy/effort, placing stress on muscles (growing them while not making them huge), and this effect allows pressure to be placed on bones the muscles are moving (encouraging retention of bone density). Done for pleasure, even a hard workout in the pool can be bath sensual and meditative … a GREAT opportunity to either focus on am idea while exercising OR better yet, clearing the mind so it usin better shape later!
I dance everyday and to work on my stamina I started to swim. I don't enjoy it that much as dance, I am not that happy after swimming but I believe it will help me to have more energy when I perform on the stage.

What about all the chlorine exposure to your body on a daily basis if you are doing it in an indoor or outdoor pool every day? I agree that swiming is good but doing it in water that is treated daily probably not the healthiest thing for your skin.
I agree with the most of the facts stated, and for the bone density part, could you cite the research? Because until today all the research sfates that swimming and cycling at minimum do not benefit the bone density, or can even decrrase it. Thank you!
