you might want to check the little black square basket latch KW-16 at the front of air fryer where two positive cables are connected. You should hear click sound when you manually push the pin.
Thanks, I have the same air-fryer in the UK with the same fault, amazon replaced mine but still have the faulty one so will have a look at replacing the thermal fuse.
Any specifics on the fire risk recall? It was said to be a Closed in crimp connector, but I was wondering where thy use them beyond the power cord. Was always concerned about the use of a 16ga cord on a 1700w appliance

Mine just stopped working, the digits turn on for a flash that has 350° 15min and then nothing. It did Preheat but ran for about a min and cut off. Gonna try this trick in the morning fingers crossed

Dealing with mine not heating up. But I think the fuse is the one that is covered in heat resistant tubing. Looks like white cloth.

@@ValyArdeleanu well, I'm not sure either but it was the only thing there that could have been a fuse. There are no common looking fuses.

Well where is the fuse? You should film when you replace it.
You by passed by joining the wires of the dead thermal fuse . You should have replaced it with one of the same rating. 👎🇬🇧
That fryer is not safe now.
