I'm going to let you know something... the fuse kept blowing because of the heating element. I took the relay off of the mother board and ran 3volts across it and it was fine. The fan is controlled by the relay. The fan clearly worked up until the fuse blew again. The fan, the relay and the fuse all worked - soooo, that left only one thing: the heating element as the culprit. The heating element is ONLY found on Alibaba..... ugh. You CANNOT find the heating element on Amazon OR at Lowe's/Home Depot. Because of the 90 degree angle, it's only available on Alibaba.

@@kabindrapokharel4791 Nope. When you grab the original fuse, you can read the writing on it. Look it up and all the data for that fuse will show up. All I did was match the data sheet. I work with electrical engineers all day to help verify.
Great video, Thanks for taking the time to make a video as you mentioned in this one a ton of videos on here about the switch needing replaced but my switch was fine. The thermal fuse is highly likely to be the issue. Going to confirm but really appreciate the part number and the thorough yet not overwhelmingly sophisticated instructional
06:27 when you measured across and it was a short, that should have meant that it WAS working, meaning the fuse had continuity (the meter was beeping). If the fuse it blown, then you should have an open circuit (no beeping) when measuring. Right?
Since I do not have your air fryer in front of me, I cannot help with that situation. All I can say is, watch videos or read forums. I knew nothing about my co-workers air fryer, until I started to take it apart. I learn as I go unfortunately.
Go to DigiKey and look up the fuse. Look at the data sheet. It can withstand the requirements of an air fryer. I had a principal engineer that works with defibrillators on a daily help me pick the correct fuse.

Can you provide link to heating element thanks!

I like the way you’ve explained small things which we technicians take for granted, in a layman approach for anyone to understand!
Enjoyed the way you mentioned checking the switch & being scared and also checking the micro switch using a “wooden stick” 😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent detailed steps. Thank you.
I wish I would have found your video first, it would have saved me a lot of time searching!
this was the best video i found that actually fault tested everything.👍

@@alienheston5748 isnt the 4A fuse is too small.

Awesome video. Thanks!
Mine just died waiting on the parts thank you.

Yes, you are correct!
I’m not used to filming myself and sometimes I mess up during filming.
How did u remove the top housing of the unit to get to the motherboard/motor part?
Oh! Those were hard to get off! It's a "snap in" but needs to be squeezed in when removing. I think I broke one...
👍🏻👍🏻
we have the type of power XL CM001 with a door not a drawer, I can't locate that fuse you are talking about,
Since I do not have your air fryer in front of me, I cannot help with that situation. All I can say is, watch videos or read forums. I knew nothing about my co-workers air fryer, until I started to take it apart. I learn as I go unfortunately.
So why are you using an axial fuse for a replacement instead of a thermal fuse? I am trying to understand why.
