Sometimes I wet my hair and apply some curl cream or leave in conditioner but lately I just spray some water and scrunch if my waves are feeling limp.. but I know a lot of people need to do more in depth refreshing and I do have a video about that! ruclips.net/video/DjFu_DveaIE/видео.html
Tabitha- I think you mean your hair is more porous since bleaching/coloring your hair. So that means your hair is more highly porous. Low porosity means product can't get into the hair. When we color or bleach our hair products fall out because the hair shaft is open and damaged.
If anything, your hair has moved more to high porosity from bleaching - the bleach damages the hair and there are more pores in the cuticle because of this. The reason your hair probably seems like it 'can't soak up moisture' is because it is having a harder time retaining moisture than it used to.
I like to put my products in my hair when it is wet vs damp too. If I wait until my hair is damp before putting products in my hair gets very frizzy and there is no recovery from that unless I re-wet my hair.
This was so helpful! I feel my hair is close to your wave but it always gets so frizzy and my waves get messier and loose. Will definitely try these tricks!
The a week in the life of my hair idea is a great idea!! I’m new to styling my 2A waves and I compare myself to others constantly🙈 it would be great to see a whole week!!
I love your hair! I really like shoulder length hair but i was scared of how it would look on me now that I'm styling my natural waves. Because we have a similar wave/curl pattern and yours looks so good, I feel like I'm definitely going to go for a bigger chop when I get a haircut next week. Thanks for the video!
Finally someone with hair, that isn't very long or thick .... Even while I would use other products (live in another country and also prefer natural cosmetics.) But I would try this out, since this routine looks good. Also your wet hair looks like mine, when I washed it, but my hair looses up very fast when drying
Our hair textures seem to be extremely similar and the same length and I have never found either of those things before. Thanks to this I’ll finally find products that are good for my hair
Beautiful! I use a lot of Verb products on my waves. I actually prefer their Sea shampoo and conditioner. I find it is moisturizing, but less heavy than the curl line. Verb curl cream is my ride or die!! I want to try those Pacifica products.
I’ve noticed that the pieces of hair that fall around your face are super curly! Mine tend to straighten out. Is there something you do to help the curl hold in that specific area. (Mine probably fall because I run my fingers through it too much 😬). Thank you!!!❤️
I notice that different people have certain parts of their hair that don’t curl as well and it varies quite a bit.. for me my flat pieces are the ones underneath & on the side of my head, like behind my ears. (I sleep on my side all the time and my hair gets pushed up so I’m always laying on that part of my hair) If I do a half up half down the sides of my hair look much less curly :/ but something to note is that the pieces around my face used to be the flattest due to flat ironing my bangs.. also if you pull your hair straight back a lot that could be a cause as well. It takes a long time to heal hair that has been stretched out and damaged so I would say just give it lots of extra love and avoid tight hair styles and heat. Although it could be something else too!
@@tabithagingerich I do tend to pull the front hair back and put a clasp just past the crown of my head to make it look half decent (apart from it then looking like I have totally white hair from the front) if I can't get it to look decent. I've never been guilty of straightening or blow drying my hair, but I did colour it for over 30 years. That's long gone now though. I also pull it up into a 'messy bun' if I am in a hurry...... 😔
Her hair looks amaze with an even, thick pattern and control. Am I the only 2B/2C hair that requires a strong hold? Spray gel is the single product that gives me the definition and shape I prefer. Those conditioning curl creams and oils leave my hair a frizzy, out of control, inconsistent mess.
Same! I've tried to use curl creams and go without gel or mouse, but I just get the frizzy mess you described. I also have long hair so idk if that contributes. Either way, you're not alone lol
I tried the Pineapple Curls and it didn't work well for my oily scalp, didn't feel clean enough. But I do want to try the Pineapple Curls Conditioner and the NYM Mousse based on your recommendation!
Your hair looks great! So shiny and the highlights are gorgeous. Mine is a mess haha, I neglected taking care of my waves and now it's dried out and frizzy. Thanks for the inspiration
I'm new to your videos & loving them! Your hair looks like mine except I'm in desperate need of a haircut! The best way I've found to get my hair defined with ringlets even is Jessicurl rocking ringlets & Spiralicious gel, plus some Uncle funkys daughter curly magic! Not sure if you have ever tried Jessicurl but just thought I'd share 😁 definitely loving your hair!!
Thank you for this helpful video. 😊 After doing CGM for months, I found out that I should not treat my wavy hair as really culy hair, (heavy products for example). Your videos and your tips on wavy hair just help so much. 🥰 Thaaaaaanks. ❤
your hair type and cut is so similar to mine I also moved away from the curly girl method as my hair just always felt and look heavy. I'm also loving mousse and foam. I just tried the innersense foam and love it x
I don't think I have ever seen a mousse hair product tbh, a foam in the metal tubes that you need to shake before, but not a mousse. I live in Poland though, so maybe that's the reason hah. Can you tell me the names of these kind of products that work for your waves? 🙂
@@aleksandraz2110 What you described is mousse. Hi Tabitha! I have a question for you... I have everywhere from 2A-2C waves. I use your normal routine because it seems to be the best for my hair. Only problem: I have a large part/cowlick running down the back of my head/crown, and I have thin hair in the back, making that section hard to work with. How do you get the waves to not stick to the back of your head, and come off of the crown of your head, not looking all funky? Just wondering if you have any tips 😊
I use clips for my cow lick section. Once I've put in my products, I clip (together or up, depending on the desired effect) the areas that separate or go flat. I hope that makes sense and is helpful.
I flip my hair over and wash my conditioner out upside down in the shower, while combing. Scrunch in dry and put a plastic headband on but push it forward. Hard to explain bit it gets my volume that I like.
Hi Tabitha. Thanks for another good video. I guess you know that the Kristen Ess product you've recommended contains silicone? I try to stay away from silicones, but lately I'm thinking of trying a product such as the leave in you mention, due to excessive tangling. I think the silicone in it is what helps smooth and detangle. I think it would be worth the trade off to have more manageable hair.
Yes it contains amodimethicone, which my hair likes a lot - it's a silicone that only fills in the damaged portions of the hair and repels itself, so it is much less likely to build up. If you click on the link she included for the Kristin Ess Leave In, under the Drug Facts tab is the list of ingredients for the product.
Yes these def aren’t all curly girl approved and I should probably have taken the time to research and post which ones.. For further reference, my hair is uncolored and I'm pretty sure I have normal porosity. Some products build up quickly on my hair and I find that the Pacifica pineapple curl cream is too heavy for me. It doesn't really enhance my waves or help with frizz, which is what it claims. I've gone through half the bottle trying different amounts and application methods. I've tried it alone, with a leave-in, and I've tried it with gel on top. It doesn't ever do anything more than add weight and a little product-y feel to my hair that I don't like. Its pros are that it smells lovely and it is vegan and cruelty-free. It takes awhile, but less with short layered hair. And it makes a difference if I move around a lot 😊 I’ve been diffusing til 50 percent sometimes and just letting it air dry the rest of the way..

@@tabithagingerich thank you for responding! 😊 I have definitely dealt with it most of my life, too. I'm not sure if mine is worse right now because of transition hair, or what. I never straighten my hair, but I have used a blowdryer with diffuser for 10-15 years on high heat. Has your hair changed because of not diffusing often and no sulfates/silicones?
She looks like that girl from You season 1🥰

I just realized who you remind me of... Megan Leigh on YT. You are beautiful! I love you hair and videos.
Thanks for sharing Tabitha! This was really helpful. I like Pacifica products too and they smell so good, but yet not overbearing like most other products that to me smell like industrial strength perfume. Lol.
You Are so sweet!
Cute girl
Hair is not THAT important. Think more of the inviŕonment and helping sick and older People.
