- Make sure you guys gauge how to level up your watch depending on what type of player you are and whether or not you play on console or pc.

Still helpful four years on! Left the game long before the SHD watch was a thing so found this very useful. Thanks!
😅 I wish I knew this before I started with my watch! Thanks Patrick love the content! Keep it going!👍👊
Thanks helped a lot saved me some points for my build
I use a skill build with the first 3 directives enabled. Control Points even at level 3 give you quite a lot. Using a sniper turret and the striker drone makes life pretty easy. My moto, have fun or go home.
I just hit 1000 a couple of minutes ago and thank you for the video it’s helping me to understand the watch system
I met this girl who did like 300 SHD levels in 2 days she was a machine lol
Nice video. The fastest way to level up your watch. Go to the Occupied Dark Zone in a group of 2-4 and do the Heroic and Challenging landmarks. Heroic and Challenging landmarks pop up more than the normal dark zone. I have done three Heroic landmarks, back to back. Most times there are two challenging on the map.
This is the best video i have seen about the whatch, Thank you!!!
I believe PC watch material is working as you explained. On my console, reload speed especially is broken, hazard protection is broken. Stats say I can have 100%. And I'm melted just by walking over the fire pits in game. Console ver. SHD needs to be fixed. I still believe you put out the absolute best content to keep the Div2 relevant...👍
Me too I get burned by most of the fire threw by the npc ‘s and all have 100 hazard, bleed & blind
I’m a casual player and only on shd level 12. I have completely rethought the way I’m leveling the watch and am thankful I watched this vid before progressing too far in the wrong areas. Cheers
Ahhhh this vid is on point and it's given me a better idea on what to work on 😁.....thank you 👊🏾
First video I’ve seen of yours. Very nice job. Just staring to get the hang of the stats and everything of this game, so much appreciated. Cheers.
I was going for crit chance too lol, my thoughts were to get max crit role on watch so I can stack more crit damage on my gear and weapons too then max out damage on the watch I’ll look at this when I get a chance to thanks Patrick!
I like the Diamondback/1886, so I've been working on weapon dmg and reload speed. For my HW seeker build I'm working on skill dmg, and hazard protection for everything in general (only play pve). The point-sink "scavenging" part I just do the credits, it's pretty much worthless because the crafting table is trash.
Too bad there's no reset option on the watch...
i mean theres no cap on level either, youll get full level eventually
Make another char and you get all your points up front. Put them in what you want.. forego the load outs and make chars that fits play schemes. And just load them
Way to much of a grind for me. I understand it shouldn't be easy but it shouldnt be BORING either. And if u give SHD credit for DZ then u should give it for Conflict as well.
I was hearing skill duration can actually screw with recharge timers on certain skills when using CC builds and give you more downtime between CCs
Actually, I think crit chance is one of the better investment you can make on the watch. Critical chance on mods and attributes are some of the worst investment you can make. Critical chance brand bonus gives 10%, while most mods grant 5% and the attribute grants 6%. Thats a 1/2 and 3/5 ratio compared to the brand bonus.
If you get 10% chance from SHD, you can easely reach 30% with 2 Providence / 1 Ceska. If you make an SMG build you could even get 61% critical chance without investing a single attribute or weapon mod slots into critical chance. This leaves the second attribute free for more damage, defense or utility.
It’s completely situational and every player will be different depending on what gear and play style they have
Max crit chance is 60%
@@craigb841 I know that 60% is the cap, that's not the point.
@@PatrickWolfChannel It's somewhat situational, yes you get more/less value depending on the build you are playing. But it remains usefull for any build you play, just like headshot damage and weapon damage. But, I think beeing able to cap crit chance and saving attribute slots / mod slots grants some huge benefits.
For instance if you play any none SMG builds, with at least 2 Providence and 1 Ceska, you can get to the 60% crit chance cap without any waste in attributes (5x6%) and that leaves room for accuracy mods and stability mods which have a 1/1 ratio with most brand bonuses.
Getting that 10% is super interesting when you try to optimize your crit chance and its always usefull, no matter what you play.
I put 2 characters into Level 40.
On one I have skill related builds, on the other I have DPS related builds. I chose my upgrades on the watch carefully to suite the characters/builds.
It's a really good feeling when I play with one character for 2-3 weeks straight, and then I switch over to the other and see all thos AVAILABLE points to spend on my watch!!!
Blisssssss.
Great info, especially for part time players like myself.
Very well explained. Thanks alot.
Absolutely love 😍the video and the information! Really needed this, wish I had it before but it's never too late to start😁👍!
Thanks Patrick. Helped a lot.
Here are the 4 that I max out first , I believe work for all builds and offer the best point spread. Weapons damage, armor, skill haste and reload speed.
This is a great video for the new guys. Alternatively I found heroic sleeping giant control points with all directives on, put that m1a to work and it’s a breeze. You’ll often get resource convoys or elite patrols too. Nice vid as always man.
I run Sniper / LMG and am only at about 125 on my watch. Nice to see that I "guessed?" right for 3 out of the 4 groups hehe. Went HP for the Hazard/Armor group tho, so need to start re-working that it seems. Thanks for the video!
Loved it, thank you. As a new player this helps a lot.
Great video as always👍 I have more then
Always go for weapon damage and armor. If you have higher weapon damage you have higher CHD etc
for scavenging I just bank them up (because I'm full on all materials), so I can get whatever I need without having to leave the base.
If your resources full. You need to make more builds and have fun be creative. That's the best part of the game. Dont copy youtube videos be creative.
That is smart as fuck why didn't I think of that
i just got that and these tips help alot
FYI if you are a banshee pulse user do not spec into skill duration. It just increases the scanner pulse portion which effectively increases the cool down. Also the mods do the same thing. Hopefully the devs fix it.
lincoln memorial or jefferson trade center- heroic + 4 directives is 700k aka a level up on a short mission
Thanks for the info very well needed
Hey Patrick I’ve been doing extensive testing and found that preservation on all weapons works the same except for shotguns it always gives one extra armor bar back. Just wondering if you knew why
Excellent Pat thanks bro.
Nice explanation. But i'm stuck in a catch 22. If i want better items and such, i have to play challenging and above, but i can't because i don't have the gear for it as i'm constantly being one shotted at the higher levels. So i'm stuck grinding away until i max out the watch IN ITS ENTIRETY.
Thanks for explaining watch makes sense!
I written comments on here before and no answer. Thank you Patrick!!!
Why you have to be mad ?
great helpful video as all yours are thank you
Thanks I didnt know about the stability.
If you’ve got a second character you can re spec you points onto it
My watch level is at 400. I play mainly legendaries lately and the xp vs time investment is low
If it doesn't register on the stats page can just mean its a tooltip update issue and not actually dmg numbers issue when shooting.
Patrick could you make a video about managing the item in stash im getting loss direction about a build thats to many item which i would choose, thats make me fear about wrong to deleting item lol.
If you have a piece of gear make sure it has at least a max primary and a useful max secondary. Get rid of everything else or put it into your library.
My watch is slightly similar though I've focused more on crit damage then crit chance. Also, I have been upping the skill damage and skill duration because of what you mentioned. Mixed it up with stability, accuracy and ammo capacity.
I find Elite Patrols give you a good chunk of XP on Heroic with all directives on although they are quite infrequent.
Great video very informative. This is Corndog btw. Catch you on stream.
In my opinion the easiest way to get your watch level up is to play PVE. Set your global settings to Heroic with 4 directives and then do control points and activities. I play solo on console and get 293000xp for a territory control which take 3-5 minutes and 550,000 for a control point that takes 10-20 minutes. Also Elite Patrols which are just 4 npcs and will net you over 340,000xp.
I am that guy ( put all into crit chanxe and didn't know there was a cap)exactly! I feel like an idiot now. Oh well, now I know thanks to you.
I just farm the sleeping giant control point on heroic with all the directives.
Not easy but effective
Alot of people are doing fallen crane. It does seem to be on eof the easier ones
Yes,Heroic control points with all Directives on works well for me,as long as you remember where the ammo is lol.
Yup maybe the easiest CP to farm XP
I do ivy tunnel because they all come down the tunnel at times and kill them all off with the bakers. I can get 8-10 levels an hour if I try pretty hard. I was at 430 when i started. now im at 890. only a little more to go.
If you are using full hardwired and a shield, skill haste is a complete waste because you refresh your skill almost instantly on raising and lowering your shield
i think if you put your world on challenging with 4 directives on you get 400K xp per controle point every 5 minutes. i think thats the quickest way . because afer you finish the controle point, reset the controle point and its red again. i use fallen cranes controle point for this. if you use this tactic, do it in a squad of 2 not 4 because more npc will spawn in a squad of 4
Good vid bro. Thanks.
Dude, love your content, keep it up. P.S. First to comment, woohoo!
Hey just want to put the word out an thought you might be the best way too do it i was playing around with the clutch talent and I don't think it's working right like once the buff actives after you kill an npc for x amount of seconds but there is no actual armor regen like you get the initial armor for the kill but it doesn't build up for the 4-10 seconds and I tried it with 2 red cores and with 6 red cores and still no armor regen
Hearing that a lot of people don't understand the game's terminology, it makes me wonder why didn't the developer provide a FAQ section in game with a short video for all of the confusing terms in the game
but if you can get all of the watch maxed out then it really don't matter what you go with unless the watch points are limited.. for me i go Headshot damage and crit damage for my SMG but then i am hitting headshots alot more then around 85% of the playerbase so that skill is a big benefit to me. i think you should just pick the skills that are more helpful to you..
I always thought Headshots were near automatic crit-shots? So I always invest in Critical Damage because I'm typically aiming for heads anyway.
Great explanation
Glad i just got my watch it took me 90 try's to beat Keener im so happy
Lol, thats bad dude, i beated keener in the third try xD
I’m looking at his capacity and I’m wondering why doesn’t he have it at 150?
Use a skill build with sniper turret and seeker mines and play on heroic with all directives on, this would be for American history museum you will be able to do that mission in 15 mins solo and get nearly to SHD levels
So I use an AR, rife and an SMG always. Those are my favorite guns in game. I normally don’t like going into the dark zone and I have never done a Raid. My build now is about 1 million armor and 90 weapons damage. What should I be concentrating on. Better yet would there be a better build that I can utilize without depending on my skills.
Do what you value most. I like crit but don't always run crit and I run multiple builds so I did crit chance then I'll do dmg I value hazard protection so i did that than I'll max out armor.with skills and handling i went with skill haste and reload. That's what I value it's really up to you to eventually you'll be able to max all the items prioritize what you like and what you tend to build toward when making things.
The DZ is good to run for SHD leveling up. However you have alot of ppl PVP'n in the DZ alot and would always kill you. The fastest way to level up ur watch is by doing missions on solo becuz ur scaling is low with 1-2 agents. Put, 4 directives on with challenging u will always level up each time and the mission u do only takes 10mins or less tops. I've done it and it works, sometimes u get 2 levels it depends.. also if ur grinding for materials u are killing 2 bird with one stone, 3 birds if ur farming for a certain allotment..
Been a bit since I last played this. Do I need the warlords of New York dlc for the and watch?
Yes
What is "Dog"; What is Directives? How they are relevant to SHD? I thought that suppose to be a guide
Respect bro. Can you try making the hollowman mask great again?
Thank you.
You can do DCD in 15-20mins a run. Over 700k per run Heroic is more (Challenging or Heroic)
Were do you go to see this screen that your showing?
I have to disagree with you on the crit chance section. Maxing it out allows you to get free damage that every gun has built in it. It makes it where a well rolled smg and 3 chance mods gets you to 45 percent . Ar's and lmgs are in the 30's. My usual thought is 30 percent or more is decent on the chance. But otherwise everything else is good. And as you always say "it's a guide". Also I screwed up a bunch of things on my first charerter, but when I leveled up my second I found out that watch points are account wide so my second and third charerter s I could put the stats where I wanted.
413 and this is the first time I have heard anything about adding bonuses to my watch. lmao
For Gunner's Banshee skill confuse / disorientate it's probably best *not to add* any points to duration on the SHD watch or use duration increasing mods / attributes / gear bonuses.
Skill Duration, at least in update 9.1, has issues with Gunner's Banshee skill ( confuse / disorientate and pulse combined )
Duration increases the pulse status effect time BUT doesn't increase the confuse / disorientate status effect time.
Read more at www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/search/?q=banshee+duration&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&t=all
TL;DR - duration, at least in update 9.1, negatively impacts Banshee confuse / disorientate cooldown.
Use 2 characters for your scavening stuff. The points carry over so double scavening points really.
What’s the highest number can the watch go
weapon handing got buffed. heard its better now for gear mods
Idf i open the inventory i can not select a watch i play on ps4
is the watch no longer in the game?
Can someone tell me why I'm not seeing my watch as an option to access to do this. I just started playing Div2 and I'm at LVL33. Thanks in advance for your response. ✌🏾
You need to progress to warlords of New York finish that and reach level 40 first.
@@PatrickWolfChannel thanks I'm doing that right now
I have 25 points on every on my watch i Make sure everything is balanced
That doesn’t make any sense. Critical chance and critical damage first.
Jason R. Depends on the build... if you only have like 4% crit hit chance.... no point in investing 50pts for only an extra added 10% to 14%... crit hit dmg is reliant on chance, so no need to spend points in its dmg while it’s chance to proc is low
Yeah I messed up on crit chance crit damage but it is what it is everything else on my watch is pretty much the same thanks
The headshot damage from aces&8 is multiplicative, so all the headshot damage is multiplied by 1.2
No it’s way more
Question does critical damage apply to tech loadouts?
No it's for guns only
False, crit chance and damage also applies to skills
@@shawnobrien55 I stand corrected then
Wrong the most efficient way to get your level up is get a strong dps rifle build put on all directives except ammo hoarders and do heroic supply convoys. Back to back to back. Once no more spawn reset co troll points and do again. I’ve went up 400 levels in the last 2.5 weeks doing this. You get over 600k per completion which takes about 3-5 min. Just be aware where they spawn and put distance between you and them and funnel them towards u. DZ is trash in comparison.
Wish there’s a way to reset the points spent.
What landmark in the dz gives you 600k xp?
What's if balanced all like same number all off it
You should never run CHC on your gun unless you absolutely have to. Spec into accuracy and stability. What’s the point off CHC if you can’t hit your shots properly. Some players need this added stability and accuracy etc.
If you need added accuracy and stability younshould go find a different game to play. Chc and chd are king right now
up. Only do not run it if it is absolutely close to 10 other than that the crit pops help your dps evening you had max chc and the base 25% that's still a constant stream of 25% extra dmg
how do you open that menu
Watch level 1000 should get you 100% on each attribute as each section has 200 points.
The reason that the 3 piece Aces and Eights headshot damage is so high is because it is 20% Multiplicative headshot dmg
Drew Keller yes we know
Seriously Wolfman I I get my watch levels up fast by doing heroic territory and control points and all directives active
Isnt DZ heroic only 290K XP?
Tested a few dz landmarks with all 5 directives. Hard still gives 146000xp and heroic 294300xp
Can you rest your watch?
No
Can you reset SHD watch?
no 😔
@@PatrickWolfChannel so for damage build go basicly: crit damage, armor, frist?
The division 2 fucked up with shd levels there’s ppl that loves this game but doesn’t have time to play hours to get the shd lvls
I use legs a lot so I maxed out reload speed, total croc shit, 4.9 sec reload ain't 50%
I wish we could take points out :/
