Gotta lift your self higher off the seat give it everything you got and push yourself back as you kick as hard as you you can. Hold the clutch in too while you kick it over. Takes the strain off the engine. That's how I start a yz490. Feels great kicking the shit out of a big dirtbike.
Yeah not kicking it over hard enough. That's how I start my zy490 but I lift my butt twice as high off the seat and push myself back and slam into the back of the seat when I kick down. Giving it everything I got when I kick. I also hold the clutch in while I kick it over. Takes a good 10 or 15 hard kicks to get her started
Mate!!?? How not to start a 600.gotta b thinking about TDC. Iv e got 3 big bores and they all start the same. Find Top Dead Centre. Follow that with about 3inch down on the kickstart then finally with a follow thru kick and by rights it should start......by rights😬 The principle is the same for all my bikes regardless of decomp lever on the XR 650R . klx650 xr650r tt600 just like urs. wish it had been an xr600 then your leg would have been broken. you have to find tdc and kick starter all the way up and pedal all the way down,, a 14 year old girl can do
something i found very useful when hard to kickstart, is tightening a little the throttle stop. The idle will be higher, but it will start easier.

I also had an XR600 and an XL500... both super easy to start compared to the TT600. So no, no broken legs from the honda's
