When you were watering the bed which you uncovered I was thinking why didn't you lift the cover when it was raining 🥴😆 the guttering is doing a great job directing it into the butt 👍🚿
👍 Silent Vince to the rescue yet again. It is pouring here today and we couldn’t be happier as it’s the first rain in weeks. Flying debris is the worst thing isn’t it with a poly 😢. Perhaps Vince could build a pallet wall around the compost bins and you can access them from the pathway side away from the poly (the tree side). Awesome job on the pea gutter, happy sowing, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Hi Gem, glad you dont have any damage on your plot. Nice tyding up too. Getting ready for the new season. Brilliant job putting up guttering done by Vince. Great idea growing peas in guttering. Grear video update too. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Love the guttering idea. With the weight of soil and plants, would it be better to have an upright in the middle too? I have used guttering to sow peas. It worked brilliantly. But I didn't have ends, only tape. I will invest in ends for next season.
Plots looking great Gem so organised and functional .Brilliant idea for the guttering 🥇Dont leave any seeds in the greenhouse or Monty mouse will find them 😁
Brilliant idea with the guttering, Gemma especially the longer bit that you don't have to cut off and gives you even more growing space 🙌 Well organiased. Glad to see, you had no damaged with the storm ❤ Have a great weekend 😊💚🌿
Hi Gem 👋 I'm so pleased you didn't have any damage from the storm. Amazing how a little bit of weeding makes everything look nice and neat. 😍 Fab idea for the guttering 👍 Have a lovely weekend ❤ xx
I’ve got a shady area at my allotment plot, so I’ve made a new bed there, which I’m going to try growing kale and Brussels sprouts in. Also might try pak Choi there at the edges. Hoping they’ll grow and be shaded enough not to bolt.
Great idea! I'd pop long one at top so you still have space under it. The peas should be planted densely so the roots intertwine so they hold together as you slide them out. Watching on phone so couldn't see spacing. But if they don't slide out in 1 then sow them denser next time .x
Hi Chrissie 👋 Thank You ☺️ good idea to switch them 👍 the whole placket went in the guttering so they are super close together 👏 have a great weekend ☺️
Hi Gemma I am growing garlic in a😊 glass jar with small amount of fresh water, changing water every 6 weeks. It has sprouted. Just going to use green shoots. Tfs sylvi🎉🎉🎉🎉
Experimenting. Usually I try something different every year. But, this year, as food prices are rising and Trump Is threatening trade between Canada and US (a lot of our food comes from the US) I will be using all space for veg that I know I can preserve

Every gardener should have a Vince 🤗

Love your pea guttering idea!
Thank You! Have a great weekend ☺️
I also have a Vince. His name is Huub 😀
Hi Gem. Have you thought of using a bungee to hold the lid on the water container down? It's easy to take off and on.
That's a great idea Mags! Thank You! 😊
Planting in the gutters is such a cool idea! So when you bring them outside do you slide them out into the raised bed?
Thank You! Yes that's the idea, not sure how easy it will be but I will be giving it a good go ☺️ have a great weekend 😊
That's a great idea for the guttering! We have two pallets that we need to make use of actually!
Thank You im really pleased with it ☺️ let me know what you do with your pallets, have a great weekend ☺️

How easy will it be to take the long piece of guttering to your allotment? 🤞🏼
I love the ideas and plans for your shady area ☺️ hmmm I think it may be a challenge getting the guttering to the plot 😅 have a great weekend! ☺️
