Damn man this really has some frightening and amazing atmosphere
I prefer this version over the Remake one. This one is less orchestral, and keeps more of the synth like tones. It carries that sense of modernistic dread from the original more. Also I LOVE the bell and this version enhances it.
I agree and don't forget the choir 😉. I felt this/original made it seem like we are listing to a ghost in a machine being the Mako living and breathing with all the synth

The upside is, they kept the metal clanging in the standard battle theme, and honestly it might be BETTER than the original.
But yea, the lack of bells is... odd
I love what almost sounds like haunting, inhuman wailing. It's like the planet's screaming. Also the emphasis on what seems like church or clock bells really helps sell the idea that a soulless machine is causing this pain.
For me it's the theme of any hydrocarbon deposit on Earth

Surprisingly this was the first ff7 track that got stuck in my head NOT bombing mission. Your version is way more upbeat than the original... This one is less creepy as the original but the suspense and intensity are kicked up a notch.... Nice job

Enrico... Like seriously, before i found your channel, i'd went through so many music channels that remake music like this. But hands down you are one of the top tier music masters. You do soooo good at remaking this music. Its sooo out of this world. It's like. If someone played a game and your music was in it. They would instantly make your remake their favorite song out of the entire game. Amazing music remake. 20/20

I think this is _way_ better than the version in the FF7 Remake. The FF7R one misses the point by being entirely orchestral, as the harsh synth sound in the original, at least in my opinion, seemed to really illustrate the image of a cold, soulless machine. This remix here takes that concept and cranks it up, evolving a plain, flat synth into this almost alarm-like blaring chorus of synths like what you'd find in an EDM track from the mid-2010s, mixed with a sinister-sounding choir to illustrate the machine's malevolent purpose. Bravo~

I kinda like this version better with the very powerful/majestic acoustics (0:37) than the Remake. It feels more powerful, domineering and aggressive, fitting for Shinra.
This sounds like it could be in the game if a Mako Reactor would be a way later dungeon than the first two. Like if the Underwater Reactor would be the first one to ever visit - while still on CD2 - or the Mako Reactor 0 in DoC. Or the Nibel Reactor during the Sephiroth flashback being the first time seeing a reactor. It sounds even more serious and foreboding/foreshadowing.
Wow, this remake has a completely different feel to the original, yet it sounds amazing anyway!
