Actually this car don't have VTEC. Only VTC. But yes as marketing they market it as VTEC turbo. But inside dont have VTEC. In USA they didn't slap VTEC emblem but here they does.

Oil dilution issue mostly happen in colder climates, Malaysian cars hardly have oil dilution issue. To prevent it, make sure you use the correct engine oil specs and properly warm up the car every drive.

2 good things about Honda sensing is the left camera view and two adaptive cruise control during traffic jam. Besides that it’s meh... also a number of the facelift owners have complained about the front sensor, it’s faulty. So it depends on your luck On the car you get

I’ve had two civics a civic ext and a civic si. Rattles everywhere and crappy cvt transmission. Got a Mazda 3 instead. Perfect build quality and refinement. In the USA it comes with a larger 2.5 liter 4 cylinder N/A 185hp engine. No turbo lag and no heat soak. Once these 1.5t engines heat up there is massive power loss and turbo lag. Pointless in a warm country like Malaysia
@@WapCar Cool, I still think the best civic is the none turbo one if you must go Honda civic 10th gen. The turbo one is just meh, too many issues and no power up in rev range feels like a diesel engine then once warm and heatsoaked feels like a 1.5 liter engine with 100 hp or less, basically the 1.5t is the same engine as the honda jazz, or fit. That's exactly how it feels like once its warm and heatsoaked, even worse with the CVT transmission too because it's much heavier
Honda's ICE UI sucks. I was close to buying a City Hybrid back in 2017, but the moment I looked at the UI I changed my mind because it looked like a China aftermarket radio. I bought a Renault Fluence instead.
How can apple car play, android auto be factors for buying a car. A car is built by engineering, mechanicals and aerodynamics. The factors for buying a car should be first reliability, quality of materials, driving dynamics, performance, and then design. Civic certainly has those but don't give importance to apple car play and android auto.
Most malaysians would use waze/google maps while driving long distance or even to somewhere they don't know the roads and want to know traffic condition. Instead of having a phone mirrorlink or phone stuck to an aircond vent, apple carplay and android auto helps with this a lot cause you just plug it in and use voice commands. So I think anyone looking at a car above 100K should actually put this in their criteria, in my opinion.

Noisy engine when pushed. Poor plasticky interior build . Too low seating position. That is what I observed when driving one recently . Was a real disappointment as I thought Honda build would have improved . Not so.
Can't argue against you on the engine noise and plasticky interior. But the seats can be adjusted for height to your preferred seating position. Honda's build quality has noticeably improved over the years actually.
