From my experience almost all of these types of bike are factory set to 20mph but have the power to go up to 35mph when unlocked via the digital controller.
I ran across a guy riding one (HS secondhand). It looked clean with a dual battery, and he said he would sell it to me for $1800. He wants a moped instead.
I actually really want to try out the defender dual motor model and compare it to my grizzly dual motor ebike. I really love dual hub motor bikes over mid drive ebikes surprisingly. The mid drives destroy the chain under all the torque especially when changing gears. Hub drives are smooth in any gear. I'll try and get a sample.
