I agree, seeing the props inview on the Hex at first is a little disorienting but after a few packs my brain filters them out. A lot like seeing standoffs on each side of your view on some quad builds
Yeah it does a great job for cruising. I will get a pretty similar time with the Action 2 on it which might be a bit heavy for it with the Li-Ion battery but it works, and the motors are never hot. You can push a Li-Ion voltage much lower than a LiPo, with LiPo's I stop at 3.5 - 3.6v per cell but with the Li-Ion you can go down 2.7-2.8v per cell safely and even as low as 2.5v per cell before damage occurs, so my test I stopped around 2.9v - 3v and I could have gone even longer.
Thumb or Thumb Pro? The Pro is actually pretty good, just make sure it is updated to the latest firmware, as well with Gyroflow. Older firmware on the Thumb Pro had some issues with being stabilized.
It's basically a trade-off between stability, power, and flight time vs not seeing the motors and props on screen while you're flying

Amazing test.
Great test, I have that same 4" explorer and lion battery, going to see if i can get the same time!
