@@tezcharold Backseaters are right. But he want to play and learn game by himself. But people has many hours in game always bully him in his first hour. It should be frustrating sometimes.

And that's exactly how it feels like to play it. Almost every turn I think "yeah okay I think that was it, gg" and I somehow manage to make it most of the time with some thinking and tinkering. Game's soooo good. Best phone game ever.
I love how even after creating a build that is so op NL is still flabbergasted every single time he manages to escape death or is able to kill an enemy
and the number of times he just didn't take the barbarian's 10 damage death ability when he was going to hold out for the Valkyrie anyway is infuriating.
I mean, every turn there's an 8/27 chance to just not get the death save on all three rolls, so there was some luck involved.
Play breath of the wild please. My bf won’t watch me play it, but will watch you🫠
I can’t see this game getting to many videos.
Each game is pretty long 90-120 minutes it seems. Plus it seems very formulaic on what you need to succeed.
The undo mechanic is SO GOOD for NL, it makes this watchable & him love the game & it makes everyone feel like a genius
It's a little op even though it's good I think for hard mode it should probably be like 3-5 max rerolls or something

Lol but he was wrong. He could have overkilled the wolf with weapons instead of using burst and saved two mana to heal the dabbler.
@@MandrewSandwich Not the wolf the "free" game part stuck out to me. At least NL acknowledge when chat is right but only after he says something like, your giving me multiple outcomes with the same results. :)

I wish all the other endgame classes are just as powerful, so the game doesn't encourage you to pick same two pieces over and over

@@GajeelRedfox nah you can win with plenty of combos, many things can make a role broken
@@RedthePersona i got a 3x on a multiattack character (eccentric) with like 4 pips already and was dishing out 24 dmg from a single character, there are many broken combos
@@bigzigtv706 the difference is valk is easy because it's 1 roll to save you. whereas other combos might not be as braindead i assume?
Getting OP in Slice and Dice feels like cheating in the best way possible. I love it.

Only thing that would would make it better is if the game didn't refer both to the dice's faces and a unit's neighbours with the term "sides". I get confused.

This is game is absolutely like, top 3 watches for me as far as games you've played and I could watch you do runs on this forever. A bonus is that this college semester just ended for me so I love watching these 2 hour vids while I draw. I'm going to go back and binge your slay the spire vids

I don't know I feel like 70% of these pog plays have dubious origins that are likely chat related. If you track the glances and the sudden rediscoveries of what certain things do.

Was elated to see multiple uploads of this. He doesn't play every move perfectly, but honestly who does their first day playing a game like this? Thank you for what you do NorthernLion! Some say you're the best to ever do it. Both me and my partner bought this game after watching your first upload of it.

Every time he didn't realize he give berserker the self heal or self shield I felt a little sad

1:12:13 water is pog on the enchanter since the middle side is unaffected by -1 and the mana+heal+shield goes off with +1, and heal+boost is also helped a ton by +1, though I think it makes far right effectively blank, small price.
In general increasing variance is good cuz of the rerolls.

No music is weird, but helps watching while playing your own games, plus the game is great to play with the Loop Hero ost or some NES Final Fantasy tunes
While games that allow for ample banter can have some wildly Pog moments. I find games that allow eggman to parse through the mechanics to be my favorite. Could be a major Pog series.

the wolf turn was so frustrating, why not just use both attacks on top wolf and focus on healing there, the most natural approach works and no one suggested it

The enchanter seems crazy good
Aah do you hear that? Off in the distance the roar of the backseaters heard by ears who could give a ****. Surrounded by moldy cups and crusty socks, they rage because they once watched the min-max play through.
As much as backseating is looked down upon, with no hate, there's visuals that I don't think NL is noticing, he can look at colours to see where attacks go without clicking, when it mentions a blank side it has to be a side with a red X for it to benefit and will only help when replacing if you have a red X locked as a choice (those spells work well with a character that has an attack which forces a turn of rest) cleanse comes across as situational but applies to moments which can become permanent or scale and get worse if you dont win a fight quick enough. The game is really fun, I Hope NL enjoys and sticks with it for a bit

Playing around the curse in hard mode is very fun. My first run had a curse that doubled enemy damage if they had full hp. I gunned for heroes that had aoe damage to counter it successfully.
Chat is my least favorite character in this game.

There is no undo button in slay the spire because card draw exists. It's for the same reason that you can't undo rolls in this game.
could just make it so you can't undo moves that drew you cards or otherwise gave intel on your deck
