And then lets yellow die against baron because he keeps resetting his mind into thinking that flare does 4 damage. He basically lets yellow die to overkill the bottom ghost by 1.
"They're not alone as long as they're together" is such a beautiful sentence, it's baffling to think it's about two goblins in a dice game. Thanks for the company
@@somedudethatwatches7834 He would go from 3 mana growth to 2, but have way better units all around. At this point in the video it does really seem like he's running out of time or something, cause there's not a whole lot of thinking being done from there on.
Him skipping out on the first choice, sure. He wants to keep his dice and those choices were kinda meh. Skipping out the 2nd time was just insane. Those dice were all pretty decent, and with the staff thing giving all mana sides +1? He could have picked one of them at least for more max hp on his blue boy.
@@int3r4ct yeah, him skipping that choice make me cringe. he should've 100% taken the bottom blue boi. he could've used the Empty Staff to give himself 2 mana on all sides and added the leaf item to make the far right growth again. he would've also had weakness on the middle as well. he was too hyper-focused on the growth... when he could've just given himself more growth.
Generate really makes you think about those class upgrades. In regular play you so often have a clear best choice but in generate a random guy can fill the most insane niche so well that you never want to let em go.
I played a game of generate the other day that softlocked my level ups because every levelup offered for my yellow was a substantial downgrade and eventually it stopped offering upgrades for other classes and only would let me downgrade yellow even after skipping. That's how I learned that skipping single class levelups blocks the other classes.
@@Droid6689 I mean, you just have to eat the downgrade to get to the other upgrades. You can't stay stuck at a party of level 1 and 2s, you'll just lose eventually.
@theWebWizrd At that point I had never tried to skip the final upgrade on a tier so I didn't know it would softlock. Didn't make a huge diff because the downgrade would've tanked the run anyway (it essentially made the character useless) but it was good info.
I love this game, but I rolled blank and refresh dice, on my last two characters, three times in a row against a one HP dragon and almost threw my phone when it party wiped me.
Skipping a class upgrade to 2 hurts in the long run because you can't skip level 2. You won't get a level 3 offer until you take a level 2. Man's gonna be at the final boss with a tier 1 unit.
Have 3 growth mana sides and keep re-rolling to get the one that was already used for a 1 in 6 chance and rolling an X, instead of just taking the growth dice you roll and making that one good too.
it was only for yellow characters which tend to not have mana. tho he really could've gotten it for his yellow character then to turn the 1 shield into 2 shield and make it somewhat useful lol
pass an upgrade is pretty much a false choice outside of the last fight, because it will keep offering you the one you didnt pick, and therefore nothing else upgrades. also, why you didnt upgrade the wizard on the second offers? they had growth sides the same way
It had one less growth, but he kept rerolling a slightly worse growth into an x trying to get the better one anyway so it's not like it was likely to hurt him much lol
It's so painful to see NL with a healer who has half their rolls as Resurrect II and yet he's so desperate to not let any character die and thinks his healer is useless
Resurrect is kinda bad tho, half the sides were so and a fair chance the healer does nothing on turn 1 and resurrected characters still drop to half health on the next fight. That is a huge detriment. Even with a revive it would be perhaps more sound to avoid deaths on the team.
It's like he was going out of his way to engineer situations such that he won't notice that chain rampage can chain with itself
I legit lost my mind when he tried to chain the growth with the reuse option clearly available
Letting his unit die when he could have used flare on the zombie and then using flare the very next turn to kill the zombie had me pulling my hair out
And then lets yellow die against baron because he keeps resetting his mind into thinking that flare does 4 damage. He basically lets yellow die to overkill the bottom ghost by 1.
The undo button is the unsung hero of this series.
I say unsung but he does mention it like 5 times per run
"They're not alone as long as they're together" is such a beautiful sentence, it's baffling to think it's about two goblins in a dice game.
Thanks for the company
Protip: click inventory to look at all the abilities before deciding on what curse to pick. Easier than right clicking each character at a time.
Protip: dont do that and maximize zane thereby reverse psychology nl into doing it
Protip: nl never reads the youtube comments
39:00 The moment where all hope was lost.
He definitely threw not upgrading blue 2 times in a row
I get the idea behind it, but that neuters the endgame insanely, does it not? Unless I'm mistaken dudes missing out on two level threes at that point.

NL skipped an upgrade in a latter episode, so it must be true

the second blue was literally just better though
Let the zaniness commence
Come for the zaniness, stay for the whimsy
When he left the autumn leaf on the blank space. Oooooooh man.
NL doing mental gymnastics to burst shield for 2 mana, instead of using mend for 1 mana ☠️☠️☠️
We've all been spell blind before, we just didn't have 10000 chatters scream at us afterwards.
28:00
Pinnacle of comedy.
I'm not even being sarcastic, I bursted into laughter.
Pls sir, I need even more slice n dice content in my life. It gets me so pogged.
Skipping the 2nd blue upgrade was loathsome hubris. I resisted plucking mine own eyes out for fear of their next encounter with the very light.
I was screaming "flare does 5 damage" at my screen my dog started barking. Thank you, egg.
That zombie got away with murder.
** and the ghost....
I'm a simple man, I see Slice and Dice I upvote.
Did he forget that Flare does 5 damage in the middle of the run?
Such is the magic of NL, he forgets more about his current run then you think could be possible.
I love this game, but I rolled blank and refresh dice, on my last two characters, three times in a row against a one HP dragon and almost threw my phone when it party wiped me.
Dude's mana-pilled beyond measure
Another day. Another Slice and Dice upload.
40:17 Could he not have used flare to kill the ghost? I feel like I might be missing something.
Yes. Yes, he could absolutely have. Haha
Yeah, nl thinks flare does 4 damage through all of this run.
No you aren't missing something, he was missing something. Something that he previously acknowledged in this same video...

I'm glad i usually watch NL while falling asleep because seeing him workout some of these turns is stressing me out
32:00 MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU HAVE LETHAL ON THE ZOMBIE WITH FLARE
Been playing slice and dice so much I'm clicking on NLs screen. Pog city
Loving the content NorthernEggMan, excellent commentary as usual. For some reason youtube has this tagged as "Starcraft" from 1998 lol
9:10 "feeling much smarter" 😅
1. Option: spell to put someone on 3 hp.
2. Option: reuse 2 mana and kill the archer😉
NL refusing to let growth 1 mana ramp up in favor of getting a growth 2 mana is peak NL and I'm pogging
Slice & Dice is top tier egg content
Have 3 growth mana sides and keep re-rolling to get the one that was already used for a 1 in 6 chance and rolling an X, instead of just taking the growth dice you roll and making that one good too.
this one hurt
NL thinking that flare does 4 dmg and not 5 hurts
“Golden thread is useless” brother, mana is non-damaging
it was only for yellow characters which tend to not have mana. tho he really could've gotten it for his yellow character then to turn the 1 shield into 2 shield and make it somewhat useful lol
I just finished watching the entire thing and POG.
I'm addicted to an egg rolling dice
Slice and Dice is the most pog content!!
Slice & dice and switch golf everyday? Pog
Ah yes, I too am a big fan of Oscar Award Winner "As Good As It Gets" (1997)
Starcraft? pog
They said it could never be done, but the EGG Zerg'ed off
dunk dunk Dunka Dunk! Daa daaaaaa
Bespoke RUclips Dicin' and Slicin', very pog.
When NL's brain breaks around the 20min mark and he completely ventures of his usual methodology.
Pog plays, but he does forget that Flare does 5 damage a lot
This episode makes me reeee internally but otherwise still pegged content
Slice and dice is pog central
My guy just throws its insane
There wasnt a throw, the game just gets exponentially harder.
@@Fummy007 Not taking second blue upgrade was definitely a throw
The ghost playyyy
Are we getting a dwarf fortress series???
6:04 seen it, this is my new daily thing to watch lol
I hope he gets on an insane blursed run one day that spans over 10 streams.
The golden thread… would have been absolutely bonkers….
I see slice and dice, I say pog
I love this episode of StarCraft
Keep this series going NL
It's slice and dice time 🏆
Slice and dice baby!!!!!!!!!
12:12 wasnt golden thread really good? To buff mana gain?
Golden Thread can only go on yellow heroes (the one with 3 rampage 2 shield)
It's for yellow heroes only, the yellow hero doesn't have any mana gain
@@Erzz197 ohhh I didnt see that
True, but Golden Thread combos well with later items.
In this episode NL teaches how to lose with such an OP team.
Add growth to slice and dice video
just discovered you can double click to align the dice!
not this vancouverite headass using the yo dawg in 2022 💀
nl i love u but this one hurt
39:03 this is very annoying. he didn't even check his b1-524 dice sides to see that yes the level 2 is indeed a direct upgrade on 3 sides of the dice.

"i wish i could undo this achievement"
those unlocks are really troll and quite amusing, doing +15 dmg on turn 15 might be "good" though.
Algorithmic engagement
26:45 really don't like to roll my exes
blue is probably blue due to all his exes
Need you to do an unfair run.
apperently the youtube discription confuses this game with StarCraft. i wonder why.
pog
he always forgets that burst doubles as either shield or damage
When tf is this game coming out on IOS? good god
Nice

It's mostly a puzzle game where the goal is to figure out how not to let anyone die.
"You should watch the one from Twitch", yeah, I got about 15 minutes in before the squabbling with chat got me to turn it off.
Weak
chat's annoying but it's not THAT bad
@@godlyvex5543 It's mostly when NL decides to pause the game to argue with chat for 15 minutes where I draw the line.
Turns "Go on for quite some time" me killing 20 of hard in 2 turns lol
ayy errybody wowowo
1st
that last blue you passed up was literally just better in every way it had a rerol cantrip and the same amount of growth mana
worst plays yet xD
