Definitely helpful. About to trade aquariums and needed to see if either was tempered (for drilling). Thank you

Thanks for showing tempered and non tempered! Looking to drill a handed down 29 gallon, and before I go buy another tank I'm going to use your guide and see if either side is regular glass.

I've got a piece that has heat colored spectrum shooting in from the corners but otherwise doesn't seem to distort or show any lines otherwise in the inner glass or along the edges once you get even an inch away from the corners. It came out of a fireplace door that had a pretty shallow back behind it So the flames would be close to this glass however something tells me it's tempered still cuz I Can't seem to see any Amber color holding a white sheet behind it which is supposed to be the test for neoceram.. The colors in the corner are just a tiny little 16th or quarter of an inch long by an eighth of an inch wide and the color is purple on the inside with the ring of orange around it as though you would have burnt metal on a grinder, same color pattern and only visible through sideways polarized sunglasses. Does this tell you anything definitive?
