And guys you know what? What does he always say, that he slept on a futon til he was 37? That's later on, like 2005. So he found his confidence first and then magically success started finding him. Fellow performers, take note.
1998 - nice people are boring 2003 - spell check 2005 - Church 2007 - DO EVER DRIVE DOWN THE STREET AND WANNA MOW PEOPLE DOWN 2008 - PEDOPHILES 2017 - RANDOMLY SINK CRUISE SHIPS
jmsolano0516 he’s more funny in conversation I think. But he’s a guy I could listen to forever because he has a genuinely unique point of view. He’s knowledgeable on a ton of shit so his podcast always are interesting. I just don’t think he’s the greatest stand up. No hate toward joe. I couldn’t hold a flame to his worst stuff lol
Exactly. If Patrice were still around, the honesty bar would be a lot higher. Patrice is the only human that can fix your life with his stand up... and we didn't even witness the top of his game. :(
I miss Patrice a lot man. If he had lived to see how nutty things have gotten with what you can and can’t say.. can u imagine what his comedy would be like??
I guess this shows he always had talent and that over time he learned his craft, finely tuned it and refined it and took those bits that were ok and made them awesome. He's a quick thinker, a natural wordsmith, a great observer of life and a man who doesn't suffer fools. Bill is the real deal and he always makes me laugh. I'm so thankful he is who he is and that he does what he does. Bill is an exceptionally and naturally funny human.
Louis CK's material seems more scripted and then he laughs at his own jokes. Takes the fun out of it for me. I understand all comedians script their jokes but Bill's flows more naturally - like he's just another joe telling me a funny story.
YEAH! He said in his youtube podcast that he runs for miles every day, I think! :O WHOA! He's somewhere around 50 now and wants to stay in shape cos he's old for his age for a new father (daughter is a toddler still, I think) but healthy and skinny.
He's pretty much stayed same the whole time.. Which is more surprising than any drastic change would be. Most people seem to struggle with their identity or style.. But Bills stayed consistent. Probably a major key to his success.
Where I think his act evolved most over the years is he went from a lot of outward observational comedy to more inward and also his impressions of the people he talks about have gotten a lot better. He started out good and became great.
I love how in conversation (usually on podcasts) Bill always talks about how when he was younger he used to be in incredible shape, used to load and unload trucks at work all day, play pick up 'hoop' during lunch, then go lift for 2 hours after work, then do a bike ride. The clothes he wore back in the 90's were all about 3 sizes too big, including the shoes lol. I swear, if the 80's was the 'tight' era of clothes fashion, the 90's was definitely the 'loose' era, lol.
Thank you for cropping the context out of a series of jokes. So enjoyable to watch a video of jokes that I might have found funny if I knew what the hell was going on.
The only thing I see evolving is his baldness. Bill Burr was funny af then and funny af now. Edit: I scrolled down the comments and saw I am wayyyyy late to the party. I’m glad everyone agrees!
+Afif Shah I'm not really concerned with their so-called "intellect". The main criteria I use to judge a comedian is whether or not they can consistently make me laugh. Your attempts to firstly gauge their intellect from the modicum of resources, as well as your attempts at judging their comedy based on that premise is quite frankly laughable.
Didn't realise this was a debate, mate. And yes... you're preaching to the choir. From what I gather, you appreciate "smart" comedy, and I can understand and relate to that. But oftentimes it's the stupid relatable things in life that make you laugh - at least, in my experience (which is the bulk of Russell's anecdotal comedy routines). One mustn't condemn other's tastes in comedy, but rather keep an open mind and appreciate the vast palette of comedy that exists (everyone has different tastes, of course). Also, trying to judge my level of intellect based on my humour? Not sure if that's what you're implying with that final statement, but it's quite a senseless thing to do. If I'm wrong, I do apologise. Good day.
Bill's a comedy great...up there with Hicks, Kinison, Louis CK, Stanhope, et al. His jokes aren't limited to any topic and he's always upfront about his lack of research or knowledge on a subject. Bottom line...you can joke about anything. If you find it offensive turn off or leave. We all have choices.
I liked even his latest special. It wasn't as hilarious, he tried new things, but in no way was it terrible. If that's his worst, it's still enjoyable. Still funny.
Judging by the date, you're referring to Walk Your Way Out. I agree it was his weakest. It could be the jokes and delivery, but it might instead be the audience. They weren't on the same wavelength as Bill which made for audible groans and silence contrasted with Bill's yelling. They didn't give Bill much to work with. The issue with Burr is that if the audience doesn't respond, Bill can come off as just an old guy yelling statements rather than yelling jokes (not even in the George Carlin sense) and that can reduce the enjoyment of his set.... Or maybe it's also Bill. He also yelled like in a podcast for Paper Tiger unlike his specials before Walk Your Way Out. I found Paper Tiger to be his 2nd weakest behind Walk Your Way Out.
He's on drugs. That's what love and marriage does to you, until the effect diminishes and he either gets stuck in a rut or divorces. It numbs the brain, it takes your edge away. I've seen numberous of my friends suddenly all become submissive zombies once they found girlfriends. They're not the same anymore
Comics like any performers feed respond to the energy of the audience. The Nashville audience to me seemed like they didn't get or didn't appreciate his humor.
Chris In Minneapolis I agree. As a longtime follower of podcast and specials, since he married and had a kid his content is declining unfortunately. Hopefully he bounces back. We miss the phsyco we know and love
god forbid at the age of 50 he settles down and becomes happier than ever, just to satisfy your need for him to stay the same. Who the fuck stays the same after having a wife and a kid at 50? Maybe if he had done when he was younger he would be more used to it and could bounce back in time.
Chris Stokes were talking content here... noones saying he shouldn't be happy but the brand he built himself on is changing. That's what people are upset about not the fact he's happy with a wife and kid... I'm pretty sure anyone would agree on that
He's like Saitama in One Punch Man, dude lost all his hair so he could become god of comedy
funny because he watches OPM
I know dude, I've seen the vid haha
Yup, and nowadays he's booored maaaaan
welll shit, the parallels are starting to stack up.
if I see him hanging out with a reclusive robot I will know a movie is in the works
you know his ass only watched it cause he saw that the main character was bald.
The Evolution of Bill Burr's hairline lol
X-101 he shaves his head
hairline =! hair
It seems to come back around 2012. Did he try a piece?
More like devolution of Bill Burr's hairline :D
Owen Rees he has fucking hair he shaves the shit. Fucking ay.
2004. You can see modern day Bill Burr creeping in, the movement, the speech.
Totally what I thought! His delivery became more paced and controlled, like the psycho we know him to be.
Yeah I think he got more confident and relaxed. I think by that time he knew who he was as a comic. A psycho.
And guys you know what? What does he always say, that he slept on a futon til he was 37? That's later on, like 2005. So he found his confidence first and then magically success started finding him.
Fellow performers, take note.
Exactly when I noticed it, too.
That's confidence. That's what you call "all in"
Starts out Like Walter White. Ends up like Heisenberg.

Lol!!
Considering he was actually in Breaking Bad :D
Bill would look great with goatee tbh
the psycho we all know and love
pinecone014 The functioning Psycho.
DJ Vala which incident
He's not a psycho, he's right.
pinecone014 damn right
EnigmaOGN why not both
1998 - nice people are boring
2003 - spell check
2005 - Church
2007 - DO EVER DRIVE DOWN THE STREET AND WANNA MOW PEOPLE DOWN
2008 - PEDOPHILES

The evolution of Bill Burr learning about conspiracy theories
Around 2005 he went into "oh u aint laughing ? ok fuck u audience" mode and it worked
Hahahaha
I just watched the video, but seeing this post really does a good job of summarizing it CLEARLY!
I could imagine Bill always went off on these rants and eventually his friend's just told him to do it on a stage ;D
1995 bill burr looks like an angry Conan....
2017 bill burr looks like an angry Billy corgan.....
So I'm not the only person who thinks Bill burr looks like Billy from the smashing pumpkins! I knew I wasn't crazy!
He looks like a friend of mine.
"The killer in me is the killer in...ba-doop-doop-doop-doop-Me Undies, Me Undies..."
Billy corgan already looks like an angry Billy corgan
Bill is a consistent funny comedian, even over 20 fucking years. It's impressive as all hell.
Loses hair, gains funny.
Better for you how eh?
One puuuuunch!
"A small price to pay for salvation"
He was ALWAYS funny as fuck though if we’re being honest
Same as Joe Rogan lol
bill has effortless stage swagger
Yeah, Chris Rock paces like a caged lion. Makes me nervous
This is an example of a great RUclips channel, no commentary or intro video or music just right to the goods. Excellent work.
Kinda like the Joe Rogan one except his material actually got stronger and his voice didn't drastically drop 3 octaves.
SRNF haha right on! Is that from TRT?
Chris McLaughlin No joke yes it is. At any age if you take testosterone your voice will drop
Rogan is average and always have been but at least he didn't drop off
Yeah Except Joe rogan isnt funny
jmsolano0516 he’s more funny in conversation I think.
Love how his hair made a comeback in 2010
Then it just slowly fizzled back out
holy shit dude i saw the thumbnail and actually thought he had been born in 95 and died this year, i might be slow or something
Samuel Gonzalez I'm sorry to say that you are
funny shit
Samuel Gonzalez lmao "might be"
Yeah he was born doing stand up in 95.
Crazy story
“Might” is a weak word
I feel like somewhere in the early 2000's Patrice took Bill aside and was like, "ok, let's cut the goofy shit outta ur act".
HapaHarley That Ethiopian bit was hilarious, go fuck ya imaginary scenario.
I agree. And when hasnt Patrice done goofy shit in his specials? He usually beats his jokes to death.
Exactly. If Patrice were still around, the honesty bar would be a lot higher. Patrice is the only human that can fix your life with his stand up... and we didn't even witness the top of his game. :(
Madhadderall whyd you have to go and make us cry.
I'M NOT CRYING YOURE CRYING!!
I miss Patrice a lot man. If he had lived to see how nutty things have gotten with what you can and can’t say.. can u imagine what his comedy would be like??
Bill's edginess is inversely proportional to the amount of hair on his head
I guess this shows he always had talent and that over time he learned his craft, finely tuned it and refined it and took those bits that were ok and made them awesome. He's a quick thinker, a natural wordsmith, a great observer of life and a man who doesn't suffer fools. Bill is the real deal and he always makes me laugh. I'm so thankful he is who he is and that he does what he does. Bill is an exceptionally and naturally funny human.
Wow young bill burr looks like Anton Yelchin.
I was scrolling down to say the same thing, they definitely had some similarities. RIP Anton.
Presumably not like current Anton Yelchin
soon as I saw the thumbnail I was going to comment but good to see I'm not alone here
star0809fel Opie Taylor
star0809fel aye!!! I just posted the same thing!! now I Know I ain't crazy
This man can take any subject and just tear it apart with sarcasm and rage lmao love it
When I realize he’s been on stage longer than I’ve been alive....that’s intimidating
Oh shit you're right I'm 19 😂😂
Intimidating? Are you looking to do stand up yourself?
He upped his pacing game.
This man right here is THE funniest person alive.
Kevin Burdette he's definitely up there
Louis CK is funnier imo
Louis CK's material seems more scripted and then he laughs at his own jokes. Takes the fun out of it for me.
I understand all comedians script their jokes but Bill's flows more naturally - like he's just another joe telling me a funny story.
Louis CK is not funnier than Burr... Not even close
I love Bill but Karl Pilkington is the funniest bald person alive.
2003: a good story has drugs and hookers
2019: Bill's about to name them
2012 is Frank Murphy
THE GOAT
He did
100 push ups
100 sit ups
100 squats
And
10km run
EVERY SINGLE DAY
Probably a major key to his success.
haaha....the more hair he loses, the more angry the material got.
He really hit his stride in late 90s early 2000s. He's incredible now
The less hair on Billy B's head, the better he got at comedy
Damn. Just realized I have been a Burr fan for 24 years. Where has the time gone? I remember when he was Billy. 😆
Bill is so lovable. He is the most authentic person ive seen on tv
Should've added at least a clip of the "philly incident"
or the helicopter story, in which he has the audience cheering for the worst outcome.
oh yeah fuck i forgot about that LOL
@@wildcard749 philly incident????
Gee Paul just look it up
bill burr going off on the crowd for like 20 minutes and i mean GOING OFF lol
Excellent video. Bill Burr is the man.
Where I think his act evolved most over the years is he went from a lot of outward observational comedy to more inward and also his impressions of the people he talks about have gotten a lot better. He started out good and became great.
beautiful compilation fam thanks for creating this.
So basically he's been hilarious the entire time he's done stand up.
Basically he didnt evolved, he was always funny as shit. keep it coming Bill we love you
These Evolution videos are the best! Please, keep making them! :)
I love how in conversation (usually on podcasts) Bill always talks about how when he was younger he used to be in incredible shape, used to load and unload trucks at work all day, play pick up 'hoop' during lunch, then go lift for 2 hours after work, then do a bike ride. I swear, if the 80's was the 'tight' era of clothes fashion, the 90's was definitely the 'loose' era, lol.
Aged like a fine wine...
NICE!! REAL NICE!
thanks for the clip, great to see he stays true to his original too
Awesome video thanks for making it !
2:25 "That's what separates the psychos, from the functioning psychos."
Been crushing it for twenty two years
Great idea! Thanks for posting!
First time I saw bill burr was that Comedy Central special in 2007. Been a huge fan ever since. Ten years goes by quick.
He's ALWAYS been funny.
That 1998 one was fucking atrocious..
He was cute when he still had hair.
He has been funny his entire carreer. Like Chapelle. Both my favs
I've watched all of these stand up "EVOLUTION" videos and Burr is the only one that makes me want to rewatch his specials.
I love his female imitation. Consistent over the years.
Post divorce Bill will be amazing
dude it will be BRUTAL
BRUTAL!
Jesus. Swear half of Bill's fanbase are next level cunts. Let the guy live his life.
Especially since he married and lives in California. It's going to be brutal with the alimony and child support.
Stop acting like you have some knowledge that Bill will get divorced. Stop hoping for it. Have some respect for the man and grow the fuck up.
Just keeps getting better
This channel is gonna blow up.
1995 👨
2017 🥚
"I trained so hard I went bald."
Great Video Man!!!!
It'd be awesome to see more. Maybe one on the legend Norm Macdonald
It's amazing how video and audio got better between 1995 and 2017.
Imagine his first special after he gets divorced.
It'll be next-level lol
Am I the only one who thinks Bill Burr is a freaking genius?
No. You are not the only one.
Thank you for cropping the context out of a series of jokes. So enjoyable to watch a video of jokes that I might have found funny if I knew what the hell was going on.
So bitter
Love the ol VHS time stamps.
The only thing I see evolving is his baldness. Bill Burr was funny af then and funny af now.
Edit: I scrolled down the comments and saw I am wayyyyy late to the party. I’m glad everyone agrees!
I didn't know Bill Burr used to be Eric Stoltz.
He stays the same so much of any comedian I've seen, but he never gets old too.
Love that series man it's awesome
Nice video; Bill Burr's an amazing comedian. You should do one on Russell Peters!
True... but let's not forget Peter Russells!
PlanetYTP [ RUclips Comedy ] HAHAHAHAHAHA! Russell's intellect is NOWHERE near Bill's
If Russel can "consistently" make you laugh then I shouldn't be bothered having this debate with you. It's a lost cause. So long.
Didn't realise this was a debate, mate. And yes... you're preaching to the choir.
From what I gather, you appreciate "smart" comedy, and I can understand and relate to that. Bottom line...you can joke about anything. If you find it offensive turn off or leave. We all have choices.
That 2012 Special he did was amazing material. I think that was his peak so far.
His timing got much better, when you’re young and nervous you speed through your set
Thanks Joe rogan. We all watched the same podcast.
Sevin Storey huh?
I liked even his latest special. It wasn't as hilarious, he tried new things, but in no way was it terrible. If that's his worst, it's still enjoyable. Still funny.

95 audience was more mature about the jokes 📣
Love this dude, Hes brilliant!
I love this guy so much. I'm really happy for him
My favorite is him destroying the entire town of Philadelphia.
Me and four of my coworkers, all non native Philadelphians who work in Philly love it.
Anyone else seeing this in 2020 lock down.... Ebola and targeting cruise ships.... anyone.... lol
Just love this guy.
More of this! More More More ... I can breath again! Yeas! ....
wait, wut? did he get OLDER? Illuminati confirmed.
don't know what everbody is bitching about. Bill's last special was fucking amazing(my opinion).
He's my favorite living comedian but his most recent special was not very good compared to all his other specials
seems like bill has been killing it since day one.
I was watching one of his specials last night I've seen twice already...I was busting just as hard as the first time
His newest special was pretty terrible. I hope he bounces back, the b&w one from 2014 was amazing
Psycho Unicorn Oh, shut the fuck up with that.
I agree. I couldn't even get through his latest. He's past his prime. The bit he did on Oprah years ago was a classic.
shut up cruise ship connoisseur
The latest special has great moments, but I agree that the previous one is his best
His last special was very underwhelming :(
Fuck off..
siren7193 It only SEEMS that way because the others were so great
Yeah they can't all be hitters..Can't wait for his next one though
Comics like any performers feed respond to the energy of the audience. The Nashville audience to me seemed like they didn't get or didn't appreciate his humor.
I agree. It was not his best work. I still listen to his podcast weekly. Dude is still hilarious.
Been there since 08. Goddamn. Along with Louie, probably the comic i've seen grown most.
This dude is AMAZING.
98 sucked
Andrew Radakovitz Why? And also how can you judge a whole year of his career by a 15 second clip?
pooplicker420HD I meant the joke not the year lol. I felt using the year was the only way to identify it.
Oh ok lmao
You must be a nice person
if his last special is any indication of is future career its over for bill. about as bad as dave chappells last special.
Chris In Minneapolis Chappelles special was great! WTF?
Chris In Minneapolis Triggered by Dave's gay joke and Bill's fat joke.

You can tell he's a nice, cool dude
Through all these years...he's been epic!!! 🤣
ya his white guilt is now oozing from his ears
iam jacks complete lack of surprise oh well...still killer funny.
it's the marriage , he married a social justice warrior
Fuck off with your lame babby's first /pol/ post. Go trigger some SJWs somewhere else.
lol no
I like Bill Burr too, but his net worth doesn't mean jack shit about his intelligence. You're a fucking tool who thinks money validates yourself.
Dave chappelle changed bill burrs bum life
Orlando Brown you a bitch ass nigga
U WUZ KANGZ
how?
naw u was inbred trash
1995- great clothes....!!!!!
Cmon, I love it😍
Best comic alive IMO. No joke.
dude he was still hilarious back then god fucking bless that red ball bagged man
We love this guy!
The 2007 segment was brilliant
"Unbelievable urge to go to the airport" Line killed me!!
