A vid showing you interviewing engineers of a EGR engine would be very entertaining. Love your vids Warren, you're the best brother, give D&D a pet from me, Cheers.
Great video!!!!! I always tell customers but not many listen but if every service clean the air management sensors you will have a lot less after treatment problems. Now days even a leaking CAC can trigger codes in after treatment . Good job you do
We are plagued With bloody egr dpf sgr here in the uk 🇬🇧 it’s madness. Sometimes have to stop for 45 minutes for regeneration can’t move. What the f..k. Love your videos keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Thank your local liberals for these insane regulations to cure so called global warming while here in the north east US we freeze our asses of it is so warm
Maybe check your DC buss, May have a bunch of noise ? on your Power that usually causes COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS May need an oscilloscope to look at the wave form make sure there's no noise .. Generated by the alternator or other electrical equipment such as brushed DC motors put ing Noise on to the DC buss there may be a DC to DC convertible power supply that is noisy as well I'm unfamiliar with that machine.... five volt power supply for the computer....You Make really good videos... and your excellent technician Sir
Warren, I have a 6R a 2014 model. I run about 250 hours a year on it, so far no problems except leak at actuator coolant lines(replaced). John Deere is doing 'fix as fail' replacements of some components on egr system, but mine didn't qualify because I've never run any codes yet. Maybe I'm running it under full load enough to avoid some of these problems, I don't know. Since watching your videos, I keep thinking I need to get rid of this thing before it goes tits up. I love the tractor however.......
When i worked at the Upholstery shop 15 year's ago we used to take the 60/40 bench seats out of an old chevy pickup to put in trucks like yours. The 60 part of the seat passenger side of the chevy seat split bench seat They fit nicely and will fit 2 people and i reckon your pups would be plum tickled And them ol chevy seat's are cheap and look nice as well. Just a thought for you any how
An engine should rarely need a parked regen done if everything is operating correctly. Usually it's an operator ignoring warnings, or a component of the air or after treatment system inhibiting it. Personally, I like to watch temperatures during regen, and compare DPF differential psi before and after.
Im sure that these tractor computers are setup kinda like automobile ones. I mean as far as cars / truck have "Rediness Monitors"for different systems of the engine computer. Service data will have a list of what is required to run the tests. If the tractor service data has requirements for DPF running you have to start at top and verify them all.....
Drove Cats back in the 1970s. You filled up the fuel tank, checked the water and oils and went to work for 12 hours with no problems. Next day do the same. You must get frustrated with these plastics toys these days when you have so much work to get through
When you look for a computer get a one with an solid state drive (SSD) instead of a hard drive (HDD). SSD laptops cost a few more $$ but they are soooo much quicker.
Hi Warren, CAT 2013 / 420-F Backhoe. I checked exhaust pressure at intake site of DPF filter. It is higher than it should be. Caterpillar said do not run engine, it is in limp mode. Must be brought to Caterpillar for service. It could be emissions but we won't know until we see the backhoe. I'm one guy, 1 backhoe. I can't afford Caterpillar shop rates. I run my own and fix my own but DPF filters are new to me. Because of the type of work I do this machine often runs at low rpm's. Do you think I can run the engine alone at 1800 rpm's for 45 minutes to burn out the carbon on the filter?
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 Warren, Thank you so much for your reply. Your information is totally invaluable. I have an OTC Genesis scan tool. I don't know yet if they make software for Caterpillar. If not, do you know of a place on the Internet I can find Caterpillar software and scan tool? Thank you so much for what you do. Dan Arnit.

2018 Known in history as the great sensoritis plague. Great job, Warren! Better than football on TV any day!
Great work Warren thanks for sharing 👍👍🐕🐕🔧⚙️

its time, some of that dpf stuff just falls off during the middle of the night lol
Leonard Walker i wish. 😂😂😂👍

Couldn’t agree more, and talking of plagues now it’s the OSR flea beetle to contend with. Cheers from another Dorset man 🇬🇧

I do know an oscilliscope helps so much with dealing with electronics and diagnosing issues.

I cant believe that they put that crap on an Agg tractor! What about the new Service truck?? Do have a name for it yet?
Work nice with removing bpf man

Busy busy
now you know why i said no when my boss asked me if i wanted to go to John Deere training.
Turn it off then back on again
What diagnostic software are you using?
Texa
how or where do you get your program scanner from
you can delete the windows password if you need to
How gutted would the owner be if that thing popped the motor again because of the emissions shit

No, because it is de rated, you need software to do a forced Regen and get it out of limp mode.

Texa diagnosis program, is what I use, but it's around 8k.
I wish 😂😂😂😂👍
Dpf stupit sistem take it of man
Out where he is they'll put ya into a gulag for removing a DPF!☹️
most DPF issues are due to not allowing them to Regen to clean the filters
I have a 6190r. Biggest piece of shit that deere ever made, Hell of it is, I cant afford to trade the damn thing off.
