    Hey Chris I am a hurdler and I bought your speed academy program but should have I bought explosiveness or was speed good?

  • @anthonysmith9818
    @anthonysmith9818 7 лет назад +3

    Great content man but I disagree with the turns. At Ohio state speed camp we were thought to squash the bug as we touch the line. This allows one to explode out of a sprint stance on the turn.

    Hey Chris I'm huge fan of your channel I've focusing on my strength this summer. I'm really trying to lift heavier as a football player I feel heavy is almost a must to do to get that strength . But I've been having trouble with squatting where I've basically been stuck at 4 plates but can't add another player because I feel I'm not strong enough and for my Bench press . I can rep 225 for only 15 times I give out on the 16th any tips on how to increase my leg strength and to increase my bench pressing strength . Thanks Chris Love the channel !!

    This may seem like a stupid question but where's the exercise database for the flight system?

    • @mfi3sta456
      @mfi3sta456 7 лет назад

      When you're at the main dashboard, scroll all the way down, there's a big button that says, "Exercise Database" with the password under it. Click on it and once you get on the site you'll have to enter the password before you can see the exercises.

    Exactly! Kid is an Nate McBride (former UGA LB) type player. He does not fit UGA style of defense. Nate hardly ever played for UGA. Sammy is a vertical guy.....40yrd time, UGA LBs is more like shuttle time!

    Wouldn't it be better pushing off the back leg instead of crossing? Football players are taught never to cross their legs when running drills. I have my athletes push off and use their hips to get a good start and push-off. Is that not right?

    • @clayrock2887
      @clayrock2887 4 года назад

      I was taught to never cross as a strong safety i guess that habit would cause me to trip and cause blown coverage

  • @hreckless1
    @hreckless1 2 года назад

    ehhh.. start was pretty good advise but the turns could be better. Never use the term cross over or even teach a cross over step. Quarter turn is what should be used.

    you are teaching this wrong. Watch the combine.... And if you don't go to the line, how do you keep from leaning in that direction to touch the line. Pro athletes teach to touch the line between the legs and has been tried and true to be faster. smh

  • @johnbona659

    Do not use this technique. As a 22 year pro scout, I will never let a player use a staggered stance. The purpose is to see if an athlete can flip their hips and change direction. When I see someone try to use this tech, I cross them off my list.

    Interesting video, but if you want to do instructions like this in large group settings I would suggest not touching your junk so much. Must have been 11 times or more. You hands are like my 8 year old’s that constantly has his hand in the pajamas.
