Did they address lint bypassing the filter around the edges of the filter and landing on the coils?

      That was my question.

This hasn’t been addressed yet. It’s an issue with the LG units as well. LG has released a new add on that may help the issue we will be trying out. Hopefully GE comes up with a similar solution with a modified lint filter. We’ll keep our eyes out for when they do. In the meantime time there are some DIY solutions out there that seem to work pretty well.

I can see a lot of lint going down some hole but very difficult to reach. I don’t want to start taking it apart for fear of damaging the machine. Ours has not been drying well lately and loads are taking over 3 hours with the load sensor.

@@BoulevardHome , where are those DIY solutions, if you don't mind my asking? :)

Thanks for the video. But I'm really disappointed that it doesn't address the problem of lint getting past the edges of the filament onto the coils.

If I had this machine (which I don't) I would use the more water button ALL the time

Own 2 of these machines. Avoid them like the plague. Horrid GE service, horrid machines. We cleaned, vacuumed and have been so careful with this machine knowing the possible issues and we are in a nightmare service (or no service) loop with GE right now with one of them that has seemed to fail completely. All the repair companies said they don't want to take on GE service work because they pay horribly for that warranty work.
Avoid this and any GE (or probably Haier) equipment at all costs.

Why in the world would you buy not one but two of something that was just invented from a horrible company that failed and was bought by a Chinese company. Further more combon have been used in Europe since the 70s and never worked properly, no way one machine can do the job of two

@@simonemartini3017 I will respectfully disagree with both of you. We have four kids (three of them are teens), and along with our washing - this combo has been amazing. 44 cycles in the last 30 days according to the app and we've had the unit for just over a year now. The ONLY issue I have seen is socks get stuck in the seal, and cleaning the unit is a little more involved. My electric bill went down immediately after buying this and it cleans the clothes REALLY well. I did have one filter warning about it being clogged, cleaned the fine mesh filter as described in this video and haven't had any issues since then.
