6:00 "They're just working with bacteria right now, and they're doing the coolest stuff." The fear around genomics is twofold: Accident and bad intention. So some grad students are working with manufactured baciteria. Killer bees were just a breeding accdent. Imagine this. The other fear is history: every invention has been used to kill.

I'm not sure if you understand, but everything making us able to live healthy and comfortable lives exists because of science and technology. Agriculture, transportation, medicine, computers, all of it... science.

So what kind of subjects or courses should one take at the university level to be a part of this change, or is there a degree/ masters option?

Owning any DNA is totally wrong! Their is no fear of the genome its the ownership and the patenting of what we are!

The futurists, technocrats, and globalists aren’t listening to reason like that… they don’t care. Now (2022) people are lining up, begging for this- and most have no idea.

An R coli epidemic is not unreasonable hysteria. Macular degeneration obesity and low blood sugar levels are common. When E coli inserts for bone growth hormone insert reaches obvious epidemic level we may be allowed an honest account of biological weapons technology.

Whoah, Skippy, "computers will guide us." Those are destined to be famous last words. It didn't happen? Robots get the shitty jobs? Car assemblers once made a great wage and had good benefits, and lived a nice, middel-class life. Now robots do that, the whole industry is collapsed in the USA, and our economy has been falling on its face regularly since we ditched good jobs to tech and overseas.

There is NO labelling law in the USA on genetically modified food. Trader Joe's sells NO genetically modified foods, guaranteed safe.

While he talks about how bioengineering will save us, science has not improved life on earth so far. As we have thrown all into technology, we have descended into global wars, incessant war, mass genocide, famine, and a tiny group of very rich people crushing billions of desperate poor. Progress? The Big Unsaid is that some group of people always pays dearly for this, larger and larger groups.

This one of the most boring lecture on biotech at TED since the talk didn't shed any new light on the dark side of biotech, just vague generalisations. It seemed like an amateur presentation with very few points of value. His whole act of being a funny and profound messiah is just so boring especially when he speaks in that slow monotone coupled with inane jokes!

Concern CERN the scientist stated that they found the God particle sitting there is God I do not need scientists to prove there's God. And God certainly does not need scientists 2xist

I'm feel sorry for you to adopt this kind of negative perspective on life, but don't worry technology will still take care of you even if you hate it. You're only looking at all the negative aspects of technology and turning away from the positive.
If technology is really that evil and killed so many people, then why has the human population increased exponentially since the industry revolution? Health care is better than ever before, infant mortality has decreased, better education etc.
