Stay tuned as you never know what's coming next from the Bama Performance team and their extremely bad ass fleet of Ford Mustangs.. COMMENT below and let us know what you think the Bama team should add next!

I'm damn proud of you guys for doing this. I would have NEVER thought it would break into the 9's that quickly especially without forced induction. Amazing job.
Nitrous is poor mans FI.
Brandon R. True, except American muscles goal here was to do this on a n/a engine.
taylor You need to look up your terms. Once you add nitrous, its no longer n/a. On spray is common, combustion enhanced is a little less common. But calling a nitrous fed engine n/a is incorrect.
Good point...nitrous could be very well considered chemical forced induction.
Brandon R. It could go either way. Nitrous technically isn't forcing anything. Forced induction means that there is another device forcing air into the motor. A nitrous kit has a fuel component and an nitrous component. The nitrous component is made up of nitrogen (a cryogenic freezing gas) and oxygen. The nitrogen part is the same idea as an intercooler or aftercooler used on turbos. The oxygen component is forced into the motor from a pressurized bottle. Similarly, a supercharger has an added accessory that runs off the crank pulley forcing air into the motor and a turbo has a turbine in the exhaust that spins and forces air into the motor.
Bama Performance made a 9.91 @ 135 MPH pass in their 2015 Mustang GT becoming the first 2015 into the 9's!
First On Race Day.
Niiiiice. That launch is awesome and I love the sweet sweet sound of the motor with that exhaust set up.
This is a real car 10 seconds.
Man! That car looks incredible from the rear with what Bama did! I mentioned a moment ago in my comments list that I think that most of the mods done to this coyote (aside from the obvious. ..nos.,...etc.) could be implemented for road course. Also, I think, your people were very smart to 'key' in on these crazy Bama boys mods cause, I think they are opening all kinds of potential, practical mods for the new stang. Good find in these guys! It sure opened up my eyes! I'll be trading in my silverado quad cab 4x4 for a coyote 5L....thanks! I just scribed you.
How did you fit the boss manifold on to the car?
Respect for bagging gears into the 9's
You guys single handedly shut up all the naysayers that proclaim the new Mustang with IRS will be useless at the strip.. What a beast.
Hell yeah Sigrafix! You know how we do! -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com
Coming from a Supra and GTR owner I've been very impressed watching all your videos and seeing the new mustangs progress. I wouldn't mind one in my garage :) This thing launched hard. I need to get some Hoosiers from what I'm seeing they always seem to hook better then Mickey's Thom
OMG! Man I have a built 2013 GT w Tremec trans, etc and this this makes me wanna trade!
To be fair didn't they snap the factory half shafts? So they are pretty useless.
After dumping a fuckton of money into an already expensive car. lmao. IRS can get fucked for all I care.
Pretty darn impressive, car hooks nicely, great job BAMA and AM.
Way to row them gears! Shifting like a Boss!
Hell yea! That was awesome!!!!
Congrats!!!
Greetings from Puerto Rico. Very nice job with that mighty mustang. I just change my 2014 mustang for the new 2015 GT and is just amazing. I have 32 years old and from the moment my dad go to my school and show me he's new1988 mustang GT I became a mustang die hard fanatic. This is my 5 mustang. Here we breath Drag racing having some of the fastest imports in the world but i stay with the V8 power :). Keep the good job with youre videos and information for the mustang comunity around the world. Have a nice day.
damn guys that's incredible! it looked like you had a little wheelie when she took off! anyway incredible times and like sigrafix said the new stang is a beast!
Can't wait to see these stangs over here in Germany. Even though this isn't a daily street driving setup for me, I could very well imagine to slap that Boss manifold on there, get some air intake and exhaust work done and finally flash a well balanced ECU tune. That'll produce certainly the best hp/€ car you could possibly buy without hurting your bank account or fuel economy too much.
Props to you guys, you really make it happen!
That launch was incredible!
Mike Adkins 1.4 60ft's all day in this beast! -Dan
You guys did it !!! awesome work!! I have been keeping up with this build from the very beginning, I am really curious to know how much the car was making N/A on the 10.6 pass as well as the 9.9s. Keep it up guys and big thanks to Bama and AM. We love this!!
Haha! So sick. Good job guys!
WAY TO GO PAUL
damn that thing hooks up off the line.
Sure does! The car is cutting 1.4x 60ft's consistently! -Dan
2015s look really nice. Hooking up really good too.
Thats pretty wicked!
Very well done on getting into the 9 second range. I see tuning plays a major part when especially adding upgrades. This is the future, and tuning is important. Cool video, will stay in tune with AM, BAMA always.
Dexter Conley Thanks for the kind words and you are most certainly correct. Tuning plays a huge roll in how these cars run and the guys at Bama Performance definitely know what they're doing! - Will
Very nice!
Nice job guys, great car.
woow great job guys love it
Sound is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gary Gomolka Long tubes and FTW! -Dan
nice job guys!
Damn, nice run!!
TwentyOne ToOne Congrats on the new purchase brother! It sounds like you and I have similar taste in exhaust! If you are looking for that 'deeper' sound in your exhaust note I would definitely lean towards an H-pipe over an X-pipe. When it comes to axle backs that fit your taste, there are plenty on the site that I'd think you'd like. Anything that is chambered as opposed to straight-through will keep the sound levels and possibility of drone down to a minimum. I personally have the Magnaflow street on my GT and I love it! The Corsa Sport and Xtreme are also high up on my list. Finally the Ford Racing GT500 axle back is always a popular choice with coyote owners. Whatever you decide to go with, good luck on your build and let us know if you have any questions! -Justin
Bang 4 the money, stanges ROCK.
Nicely done. What a sexy Stang!
What a BEAST!
Rockstar121292 We think so also! This car has definitely surprised many... even us! - Will
What coincidence, I saw a camaro finish in the 9s today, I was amazed at how fast it was. I'm a diehard stang fan though, glad to see the 2015 into the 9s
Nice takeoff overall beautiful car.
Holy shit. That launch thow.
Nice. I know the cobra jet springs helped a lot with that 60 foot
the new 2015 Mustang in the 9's... That's legit!
Nines rock!
Have you guys tried Shell URT fuel? I used to be a big fan of C16 but have since went to the URT and couldn't be happier. Making great power on the stuff. Anyway, great job guys keep it up!
That is totally awesome. Even though the car is extremely gutted ..still very awesome pass..now it's time to get all over that eco-boost Mustang and get it into the 10s
That’s wassup bro Ford all day
Wow awsome now questions what was the hp to the tires between the 11 the 10s and the 9 sec pass.
Is something you haven't said yet or I'm so awe with all you done with the car that haven't pay attention when you guys gave the numbers.
Thanks and keep up the awsomeness AM and Bama.
Ol boy can row some gears!
This car is "Fast and Furious"! Love that the irs hooks up so clean from first through all the gears! I'm into both straight line and road course racing and Bama proves you really can build a car that can race both ways!....I know, I know, this car, your saying, was set up for the strip, right? But most of these mods are not necessarily exclusive to racing in the qt..... and it should be quite evident that ford is building the best irs in the business now by what you just saw. Try getting any other irs to pull 9 sec. 1/4 mile times without all-wheel drive.....see what I mean?
that car LAUNCHED PERFECT!
bud385 The suspension setup on this beast is great! She can definitely cut down on them 60' times! - Will
AmericanMuscle.com looks like its workin CHERRY! I failed to mention that the car looks SO BAD ASS!
bud385 Thank you for the kind words, I do have a soft spot for this beast! - Will
Nice job guys I'm gonna be running just about the same set up on my 2013 5.0 just wondering the hp
Damn, dude can drive. I thought it was an automatic transmission at first.
Audio on this bb is music to my ears.
The recent Mustangs have been tempting for a passing college gift to myself.
skote77 It would be money well spent! If you're in the mood to buy two, I'll take one also! - Will
Do you guys prefer the boss 302 manifold for nitrous over an 18 mani? In a gen 2 s550
Next stop 8s? Add a supercharger and nitrous
Hmmmmm.... ;) -Justin
What clutch and flywheel are you guys using and is your MT82 stock?
Makes me excited you guys do upgrades and i get to see it get faster and faster! Shure wish one day i will own a fast car love mustangs and drag racing but once you got a famaly it all changes :(
I'm a single father of two boys ages 6 & 7 and have been their entire lives and I owned Mustangs... I plan on getting the 2016 GT :)
LJ Balongue Nice choice LJ Balongue! I'm sure you (and your boys) will love the new GT! :) -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com Thanks man, I LOVE the Mustangs of late... the last two models are awesome! I'm choosing to wait for the 2016 model year because since I just turned 40 and spend a lot of time behind the wheel, I really, really like the new interior and all thr tech in the new models. I've gotten burned buying brand new "First Run" models in the past... I wait for their second year so they can fix all the inevitable little bugs associated with the 1st run...
So, in OCT. 2015 I'll be at the dealership picking up a 2016 Mustang Premium GT with performance package and Recaro Sport seats...can't wait
Hey guys, this is a bit off topic... but Mustang related. I recently purchased a 2012 5.0 a couple of months ago and I absolutely love the car, but it still needs a few things.. which is why I'm here. I'm trying to decide on Exhaust's and which ones would best fit what I have in mind. I want a rumble, a growl on start up and low gear revs, but without too much high drone on the highway. Deeper the better. If anyone could help guide me I'd be greatly appreciated. I've watched plenty of videos, but without being there in person it's just so hard to tell the difference between them. I would prefer a set of Axle Backs that I could install, and most importantly a pair I could get off of American Muscle's website. Thanks!
Y'all should do a twin turbo car???? I know y'all can pull a low 9 or even high 8
have you tried the gt350 intale with nitrous
it is a hell of a day ! right!!! ???
what exact tire are you guys using? 28x10.5x15s or what?
what tire size and what RPM he left at thanks
Teach me to drive my mustang like that haha
austin brown Practice makes perfect! - Will
+George Jetson No time soon. The Coyote engines are damn near bomb proof.
AmericanMuscle.com
Oh wait.. forgot to ask about the plate kit.. does it provide room for a larger throttle body without being a restriction while n/a?
You guys are really killing it with this Mustang. I'm beyond impressed. Can y'all give any power numbers? I'm assuming those aren't being shared on purpose though.
How are you impressed? We got cars with full interior, on pump gas running, no nitrous low 10 seconds....
I'm not comparing cars. I'm speaking specifically about what has been done to this one and how many resources they have devoted to the project. I don't care about other cars running low 10's.
Thanks Dylan! We appreciate the compliments and the continued support. This cars sole purpose in life is to go fast at the strip and be the first 2015 in the 9's- so that's why you see a bare bones, no nonsense build. We will have plenty of other builds including full interior, different power adders, etc so be on the look out for those in the future. But in the meantime definitely stay tuned because this car is only going to get crazier and crazier. :) -Justin
Chuzo1946 And what are you doing this in? If it's NA I would have to guess it's a big block that's been fully built and not a off the dealership lot car with a stock302ci that has some bolt-ons. The car only has the back seat taken out so it still has a ton of weight tied up in the interior.
Bama Performance and AmericanMuscle.com You gentlemen have clearly displayed the potential that is "bottled" in these and MOST modern cars. The Muscle Car Wars are back in full effect and i love it.
If you can drive a car that runs 10's or high 9's but can still get near to 20 mpg on the highway you have nearly the perfect weapon.
I am curious did yall look into fuel efficieny at all at this power level? Just curious. Im sure the tune you have is directed at max power etc. But did you examine efficieny at normal driving? Seriously just curious. Thanks guys for putting in the work to mame these videos happen.
7pastorb If this car was on regular pump gas it would still get good gas mileage. The car run's 9's on Nitrous. When we're not spraying the car is just simple bolt-on's and if driven with fuel efficiency in mind you would be in good shape! Hope this helps. -Dan
***** thanks for the reply. Im always curious about fuel mileage in high powered cars. And to me this car seems to be the ultimate bang for the buck. If you avoid some of the ammenities of the loaded GT you can actually get one for a decent price then adding 10k and some elbow grease you could easily have a mid 10's car that runs on 93 octane gets 20 something mpg and looks super sexy. So thanks for all the info in these vids as my next purchase will no doubt be a 2015 or 2016 and i will be modding it out to some of the same specs you have presented....thanks again!
how much did it cost to hit that number?
They really need a app for there website.
I thought Bama didn't do force induction tunes anymore
Nice!! Whats the horsepower?
man its been like a week since this video was posted, is this car in the 8s yet? haha
mike gager We're working on the car as we speak! 8's sounds pretty nice :). -Dan
Thought it pulled the wheels for a sec....
More then I am willing to pay
Does the car still have Charge Motion Control Valve's with the Boss 3032 Intake Manifold? Were they causing the nitrous distribution issues, or is it the new intake manifold design itself?
AKDMB No, the Boss manifold does eliminate those Valves. We do think they had a little something to do with our Nitrous Distribution issues on the stock Manifold but are still doing some more testing to be certain. Thanks for watching! -Justin
what nitrous shot being sprayed huh
That's the best mustang deal ever! Awesome car, lot better, faster, and cheaper than the ZO6, or hellcat!! Kick ass Ford!
karl jacobson I gotta agree with you on that one! These S550's are no joke and Bama Performance is ahead of the pack. - Will
since the irs is better for handling do you plan on doing any builds for a road course rather than a strip?
nsx99x You know, that is a great question and we are constantly looking for new ideas. I will definitely pass this along and see if that is something that can be done! - Will
Paul reminds me of Luke from Linus Tech Tips..
You didnt mention gears?
Pro shifted trans?
What if you put Ftw Purple in a regular stock? lol just curious
John Edge Using a race gas like that in stock form is definitely not recommended, but when the car is built/tuned for it, boy can it help! - Will
Holy hell is this on the stock MT82
nemesis950psi Yes. The MT82 is bone stock and holding up pretty solid with 7.5k no-lift shifts! -Dan
i live right down the road from the strip!!!!
Shawn dr Awesome! Maybe we'll see you there one day! Do you go there often? - Will
AmericanMuscle.com yeah ive been there a couple times. i just bought an 05 mustang gt convertible and i love it. just bought a few things from your website and cant wait to test it out on the strip one day
Shawn dr That's great! Let us know how she does when you get her down the strip. - Will
9 sec car with a manual trans damn thats a mans car
KrazyFuckinCrackers1 I have to agree with you on that one! It is definitely a beast and has plenty more in it! - Will
0-60time?
BAMA does not sell the 150 shot. I have a 2013 Mustang GT Automatic with 100 shot. It blew the number 4 intake runner off the stock intake. I now have a Boss intake, but I need to go to a speed shop dyno for a tune, unless I can talk BAMA to give me their tune.
John Quinn you're better off going to a local shop that knows about the coyote Mustangs instead of Bama I have a similar setup on mine and ran a 12.8 with there tune it seems like they don't put enough effort like they do with their own vehicles
Nice job! But even with the weight reduction that 3400 pounds is HEAVY
with driver, big difference. You can easily subtract off atleast 150-200 lbs for the driver.
Heavy compared to what? 3400 lbs with driver is about what c6 vettes weigh.
Paul Miester can make any modern muscle car go 9's lol he can get the most out of a stock ECM
Michael Daniel Paul is an excellent tuner! I'll make sure this is sent his way. -Dan
How much power did it make on this setup?
M Krantz Power numbers and Video coming soon! -Dan
Horsepower calculator says 3400lbs at 9.91 equals approximately 690hp.
AmericanMuscle.com Did you guys swap the front brakes to S197 front brakes? Will the new big brakes retrofit to the S197? Good job!
i don't think so, the new brakes were only possible because of the new suspension from what I have read.
We did swap to a set of 11-14 base GT brakes in order to fit the Welds. As far as the new brakes swapping over to the S197, well I may just have to test that out on my '14! ;) -Justin
Dammit guys all this incredible progress makes me want to trade in my 13 GT for a 15!
Junior Galvan There is a lot of 11-14 owners struggling with that decision! I know I am in! -Dan
Don't add a supercharger yet, I would like to see the motor being worked on some more ( rods, pistons, crank, bottom end etc ) and see with the 5.0 in this new model is capable of.
Bro they already threw nitrous... and fuel mixture...
Chuzo1946
I didn't say Nos tho
its pretty much the same internally
Are you going to show a street/track setup too since nitrous is illegal in most states? For example, Maryland law carries 5 points and $290 fine for any violation of MD Criminal Code § 22-404.5 including having the bottle connected in any way OR not having the required silver scotchlite letters on both corners of the rear bumper if you have a disconnected bottle.
This car would be a good run for the Dodge demon..
Boss intake with stock throttle body or bbk???
Mikal Wright Stock throttle body for now! -Dan
What power numbers are we looking at here?
The car makes 450+ on Motor and 550+ on Nitrous! Stay tuned for Bama Performance's official Dyno Video! -Dan
@itsjusta6 is in 9s also
This videos 4+ years old bruh. -Justin
I hate too ask but how many passes are on that car thanks.
Jay Smith This car has been to the track a ton! Unfortunately we don't have an exact # of passes but she's definitely well broken in. - Will
Awesome car, now put a 300 h.p. fogger nitrous system on.....It will take it for quite a while!
Are these guys located in Alabama?? I say that well because of "BAMA performance".
We're not. We're located in Malvern, PA. Hope this helps! -Dan
Oh ok gotcha, thanks :D
Man! I had an 03 sexy gt that I was working on and had a little maintenance issue it was the water pump and the thermostat so I ordered my pump and thermostat from americanmuscle.so i had my car at the shop so my parts got here like two weeks after we ordered them and...wrong parts so they got returned and another two weeks later wrong parts again so we complained and got 100 dollar credit etc. So I was upset for AM taking so long I needed my car for work really bad I was having really hard time to get to work and around, so like a month and one or two weeks later after all those failures from AM I had no choice but to take my baby gt to work Really careful and wow it silently blew on me !!... after having all kinds of parts ordered from AM and being so excited for building my gt my vibe and mood etc. Just really upset and still paying my car and with blown engine it sucked we complained but the AM muscle representative said "that's the way business are"so I just gave up my beautiful stang that I cherished a lot so now I have no stang and still owe part of it I still follow AM and just watch those awesome build ups...just wished those parts would of being the right parts the first time... I don't think it would of blown and I would of still had my baby.... Long story but had to get it out my chest AM...
Ignacio Cortez I'm sorry to hear about this! It sounds like there's a lot here that I need to have a better understanding of. Can you please shoot me an email with your contact information? I'd like to reach out to you and make sure we get this taken care of and make sure everything is set straight. Thanks! dan[dot]bailer[at]americanmuscle[dot]com. -Dan
AmericanMuscle.com well I i took for ever to reply AM I never thought you guys would reach out to me I hope we can still fix something. Thnx appreciate you guys at least trying to reach me
AmericanMuscle.com
Hey guys.. Time for a random ass question.
So I was at a local dyno day and a guy had a late model mustang with race stars and drag radials on the back. He claimed his horsepower number was lower due to the drag tires being a little taller. My thought was that since the race stars and drag radials were way lighter then the stock rims, it would help, not hurt... What say you
smokeum12 A tall tire definitely has the ability to show less power on the dyno. It has to do with the rotation per mile and the speed being incorrect rather then the weight. It's a tough equation. - Will
Hat ever happen to the project cars??? Like project black out, fox body, and ect....
Manuel Gomez They're still around, but for now we are spending a little more time on the '15's since they just came out and we want to see what they are really capable of. Stay tuned! -Justin
Ok, I really think it's cool how you guys talk to the people that watch and keep em updated.
AmericanMuscle.com
OK my people... shall we try the cobra jet intake n/a and nitrous? I'm not trying to create more work for you or anything... buuuuttttttt, we must know such things.
This is what I want to know also! When is the video with the CJ intake plus N2O vs N/A? Lol.
CJ manifold is not recommended to be used with nitrous due to it's runner design.
AKDMB
Let's be honest... Ford doesn't "recommend" we really do much at all. They give us a line lock and pretty much say if you use it as intended we will void your warranty
smokeum12 Ford Racing is another story, they're the ones that developed the manifold for drag racing. Nitrous is likely to puddle in the CJ intake.
smokeum12 The Bama team fully intends on doing EXTENSIVE research with both of these manifolds. I know its a tight fit already with the Boss (we had to drop the motor 1"+) and the CJ sits slightly higher so it might get interesting. Could be cowl hood time! Stay tuned for more! -Justin
