    Thanks for posting and including a topic timeline. I had success with both methods. if your packs are really crusty, it will take longer. Also consider using a hybrid method. such as wetting them every 12 or 8 hours. Placing container in the sun will increase humidity when using the drier method.

    What i tell everyone about the lack of nose punch when opening a jar with bovedas in them.
    Terpenes are volatile. By making a stable rh environment, the gasses stop off gassing. So when you crack a jar there should be no smell. You want that oil & smell left in the flower & trichomes.
    Take out the boveda & throw it in a hot car one afternoon, the smell comes roaring back.

    Best to use the method where you don't submerge them in water. I use a Mason jar and a solo cup. Fill the cup about half way with distilled water. Place the cup in the microwave for about a minute. Put the cup in the jar with the pack resting against the jar. Seal the jar. The condensation will recharge the pack faster, assuming its a 2-way pack. Leave it in a room that is 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a high quality kitchen scale (make sure it can be calibrated) to see if it matches the stated weight of the pack. When that happens, it's recharged. And you can test the pack with a calibrated hygrometer. Worked for me & several of my packs.

    Oh shit I didn’t even know I could do this. I have A SHITLOAD of those in my homegrown jars and jars. And I LIVE at 62%. I have the bigguns but prefer to use a lot of the 1/8th size. I don’t know WTF people did before these things honestly. And their prices are going up so recharging them is awesome. The boost don’t seem to work on nearly as much herb. No way, the Boveda are THE terpene shield and are SO good for moistening overdry bud.

    • @honuman39
      @honuman39 2 года назад

      Before these I'd take pieces of paper towel and get them wet and put them in my containers. It worked but hard to monitor humidity levels. Sometimes it added too much moisture to the air and I'd need to let it dry or I'd forget to check the container for humidity levels and the weed dries out.

  • @kevinphillips1280
    @kevinphillips1280 Год назад +1

    The best way to rehydrate your boveda packs is to wet a clean rag or washcloth and ring out as much water as you can. Then just lay your packets on the washcloth and fold it over. Fully submerging them definitely overhydrates them quickly and then you have to wait several days/weeks for them to dry out to be useable, the 2 plastic container approach takes way too long (for me that usually takes about 3 weeks), The damp washcloth takes a couple of days at most and you're done.
