Hi there, I am sorry to say, working in Bollywood can change your perception of India, because it is full of jerks and morons. I'm telling you because of I've worked on some top production houses in Mumbai.
The busier it gets, the safer it is. It is really not possible to do a crime in India without any witness. BTW this is supposed to be a helpful advice.
People in Jama Masjid were most possibly telling you to leave because it's not allowed to click or video places of worship. It is kinda considered disrespectful. Even though a lot of places understand the tourism factor and have allowed, the locals still don't like it to be captured/filmed! I'm sorry if that ruined your mood or experience that day. 🙏🇮🇳 Also, the other tombs at Humayun's tomb are his wives. It had always been a practice in India as a monarch back until the 16th century that the royal houses, and only the royal houses, had polygamy. And the wives were always buried near the husbands. So, yeah! They were obviously buried afterwards because Humayun died early because of falling off a floor in his library (Din-i-lahi) accidentally in the Old Fort (also in Delhi)

Humayun's Tomb, a few facts. One, Humayun was the second Mughal emperor in the line of the great Mughals. He was the great grandfather of fifth Mughal emperor Shahjahan, who built the Taj Mahal. Two, the grave at the centre of the monument which is said to be the grave of Humayun is actually not his real grave but the replica or only the symbolic grave of him. However, no one is allowed to go there but only officials of the Archeological Survey of India and some other people from the Government. Three, the guy who asked you to leave was not supposed to command you. Actually, since the monument is a mosque, they tend to believe as if they own it. That was ridiculous, though. But bear with us, such things happens to all of us, there's always a black sheep in the herd. Four, no comments on the hawk hitting you on the side of your forehead 😁🤓😜 One more thing, Dilli Hat is really a good market as you must have realised. Jama Masjid built by Akbar the Great is one of the holiest Muslim Sites in Asia. Try doing a photo shoot in Kaaba in Saudi Arabia and there will be very many who would try to shoo you off. For all tourists, I would suggest if you plan to visit a religious historic sight in India, which allows every nationality, every race, every religion with open arms, they still remain conservative and are not camera friendly. That might be a problem if you are shooting for a travel blog. Please portray the dates right, as these stones and architecture speaks their age. Kudos guys
Heyy people who are tourists in india, and you are visiting delhi please ask for a tour guide they are there at every monument. So they give you pretty much everything you need to know about the tombs , calligraphies , architecture just everything. Hope it helps. P.s.- im a delhite myself

I must say you missed the best part of India:-north east!!Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu,Kashmir ,ladakh!!!
Kudos guys
India is UNSAFE?? That is normal everywhere around the world) if you’re a foreigner.
Heyy people who are tourists in india, and you are visiting delhi please ask for a tour guide they are there at every monument. So they give you pretty much everything you need to know about the tombs , calligraphies , architecture just everything.
Hope it helps.
