      Real estate is expensive but also cheap compared to other countries. Just look at china where 3 million homes are empty cuz people can't afford them. Same with other developed countries.

But we are longing for jobs a never ending carrot is tied in front of us which we can never achieve.. or catch the carrot .

    When I was in India and Sri lanka I learned that it is expected to bargain but not to try to "rob" the vendors. I got some of them to agree to well below the stated price but I always gave them a bit more than their lowest price because they too have to make a living. I love both places and I especially like that there are so many temples. My spiritual life feels beter in India

    • @bollymolly6011

      The real reason temples was built to bring people together to connect people
      These days we have social networking
      Temples now focus on spiritual believes yoga and ayurved (it's a ancient medicine that don't have any side affects)

    • @TheStoneWhisperer
      @TheStoneWhisperer 5 лет назад +11

      Yes Jon, well said! It's one thing to bargain, but it's another thing to be rude and expect something for next to nothing. It's good to bargain down a bit, but know when to stop and accept an offer. I recall some things I bought in India were just SOOO beautifully handmade, I just gave full price! I know I could have bargained, but it was exquisite hand crafted Yak bone pieced small prayer bowl. I just couldn't see bargaining anymore than how inexpensive it already was!

      Bro let me tell you, street vendors are amazing business people. They just make enough for their lifestyle. If you try to be a little lenient on bargaining, they'll empty your pockets. They're as good as any corporate retail chain minus the corporate scam.

    I was with my mum shopping in Rajasthan. My mum had to go somewhere for a quick second and she told me to roam around and see if I liked something. I liked this traditional pair of shoes and I went up to the guy to ask if I could try them on and what their price was. Due to my limited skills in Hindi, I couldn't really converse with him properly. Probably thinking I am a foreigner, he said a price higher than what it was. When he said the price, my mum walked in and said in the Rajasthani dialect "Just because she can't speak Hindi doesn't mean you can scam her" The expression on his went really funny and he ended up selling us the shoes with a 50% discount.

    Yes...the most talented people are found in India...in every field..the artists are like magicians...you get crazy when visiting the shops and markets...I ended up spending all my money in shopping during my trip there..
