The fight with SA-X was... disappointingly easy, honesty. Especially considering how much it was hyped throughout the whole game. I can play metroid fusion on an emulator in my phone and still defeat SA-X without taking damage ( •_•)
It’s rather easy actually I wouldn’t necessarily call it disappointing because SA-X can still wipe the floor with you if you aren’t careful Even still, the atmosphere of the battle is just epic
Strangely it kinda add stuff that doesn't make sense in the serie as a whole (not retconning but the whole phazon stuff). This is why Prime is mostly a spinoff serie (and Other M should stay as a spin off as well)
As convoluted as other M can be...it does fill in a lot of holes. Just ignore then mischaracterizing Samus, using a poor control system, and not making us actually care about the other characters. Ridley is the ultimate parasite himself, considering even as a chick he had incredible intelligence to lure a researcher in and eat them. By eating the researchers and fallen soldiers, Ridley was able to grow and evolve fast enough to go from chick to fully grown in a matter of hours.

Actually makes a lot of sense. In Metroid three, really shows up at the space colony. How did he know the baby Metroid was there? And Samus returns, it shows that he actively fight Samus and the baby Metroid so now he knows where they are.
