@Torpid Pegasus no you can do the first fight withought damage. Im 100 percent sure of that. Ridleys health during that fight is 254 or something. If you get him to zero he drops it repicks it up then leaves as intended. Its scripted to lose the metroid no matter what but not to take damage. The only scripted damage is mother brain. A shortcut For draygon is if you shoot those things on the sides so the electricity is exposed let her pick you up equip your grappling hook and while she is flinging you hook on to one of those and she'll be dead pretty quickly
For a menacing Alien Space Pterodactyl he sure is easy, he could at least be a challenge, nothing can beat Metroid 1 Ridley in challenge as in none, when Kraid is more of a hassle than the poster boy of the Metroid series.
14:30 Boss Draygon is easy to kill using the electrical spot on the top right side. Just let him grab you and use your electrical claw to connect with the spot
This guy makes fighting Ridley look easy. I've died three times on that bastard. I'm trying to mimic the strategy he used in his gameplay but I swear Ridley's patterns differ. Or maybe I just suck lol.
He seems to have the trickiest pattern. I have no trouble on normal runs. But when I did a speed run, Ridley killed me about three times. When you don't grab all the extra tanks and missiles, Mother Brain is easier to kill than Ridley.
This game is just something completely different the little Boss at the beginning literally losses his head part way through and Crocamire’s skin burns off whilst being alive
I just watched the water monster get beat up by the electric on the wall if you use the grapple hook while you are caught by it. Instant ko....I can't believe after all these years this game still have hidden stuff
Once i use the screw attack to get behind her head before she fired it but it came out the back of her head and dragged me across the floor and pinned me against the wall.
To make this battle even easier. When the boss at 15:00 tries to grab you ,Use the grappling hook once you destroy the green ball emitters . This will result in the boss being electrocuted
You really don't defeat him since he gets away even though you hit him enough times, it's more of a tutorial boss without it telling you how to beat it, Spore Spawn is the first proper boss.

NGL, this makes me glad it's a teen and up game and not something for a Little Nintendo enjoyer. Cause this game is terrifying. I'm in my teens and it still terrifies me, like. 💀 Either way, this game was still fun.
during the Motherbrain second fight you can't avoid that since it's mandatory due to her being invincible during the final battle so I did that to make the fight go a bit faster, the tutorial fight isn't much of a boss since Ridley runs away eventually.
Do your best this game can be tricky to get all the optional items Missile/Super Missile Tanks etc, look up a guide if you need to find them if you struggle.

After playing Metroid Dread, I was sorta expecting the bosses in this game to be really hard, but honestly I think the Hardest boss in this game is still easier than the easiest boss in Metroid Dread.
Having beaten Metroid Dread on hard mode under 4 hours and then 100% it I have to say that the patterns are so much more recognizable in Dread and so it feels doable as opposed to this game where I always feel like I luck myself into a victory. Love Super Metroid and Metroid Dread but in terms of collectibles and automatically recognizing the best strat quickly the easier game is Dread. I've been able to complete Dread 5 times now and have attempted to tackle Super like 10 times only making real progress after having completed Dread.

Ridley is the final boss before go mode, so yeah, he's rough. Even years later, he's either got me or almost got me before. Keep at it!

Oh I know where it is, it's actually called the reserve tank and there are four of them, one in Brinstar, Norfair, Wrecked Ship and Maridia.
