Clarisa Gomez That's a great question, Clarisa, and sometimes I wonder that myself. In application, I don't see a lot of difference between the various names for this kind of work - including guided imagery, guided meditation, positive visualisation, trance work, and hypnotherapy. Possibly the biggest difference I do see, though, is that hypnosis typically uses a series of "deepeners" to take the listener down to brain states much more receptive to suggestions - and this is done to speak directly to the subconscious mind. Most meditation remains in lighter states of consciousness, and hypnotic free association (such as daydreaming) is less encouraged as there remains a more focused conscious awareness. Hope that helps.
Michael Sealey Is it also to do with one keeping the mind active whilst the other tries to quieten it down. Hypnosis, from my understanding this is, is about using the mind to make positive changes where as meditation is quietening the mind to increase awareness. Each of them tend to be able to do the same things though but I don't know if hypnosis can have you experience totality which meditation can do.

Michael , I listen to many of your various sessions and love them. Do you think you could do one to help people who suffer from teeth clenching while they sleep ? It would be amazing to listen to one of your sessions that would have suggestions not to grind or clench and put us to sleep at the same time. I actualy fell in such deep hypnosis I had an outer body experience where I was driving and the only thing that woke me up was that I was going to hit a car infront of me while parking and it shook me back in my body my whole body twitched!! AMAZING FEELING!! this is great it works!! thank you so much!!❤️❤️

Hi Michael, hello from germany! Love your videos, thank you very much! It`s amazing how fast and easy I get into deep trance while listening to your voice! But sometimes- not everytime - in moments of deep relaxation when you start to guide through a fantasy journey it happens that this journey stops me from staying relaxed. I got the feeling when I`m in deep trance I`m unable to imagine or think of something in particular-like those fantasy journeys.Then I would rather stay in a state of mind without any thoughts or intentions or imaginations. In some cases it seems to me more beneficial if I could just drift away in my own inner space where I can calm and peaceful for a while. So could you do a guided meditation that leads to nowhere but deep trance without fantasy journeys? Love those journeys as well ! X

hi michael! i know that you've done a hypnosis for IBS and digestion and one for pain management but Could you possibly do one to relieve other symptoms of IBS such as fatigue and relocated pain such as back and joints? I also feel as though maybe through suggestion I would be able to get through a full school day on a regular basis rather than giving up when in pain fatigued and going home, perhaps I should listen to more of your motivation ones but I'm not sure. I'm also on a no fibre diet and finding it hard as I can't really eat anything healthy (or anything at all really, could you maybe do a hypnosis session to relieve temptation perhaps? Thanks for doing everything you do, you've really helped be pull through before I was diagnosed! ( do you still do your acting?)
+sashasims99 I might do something for fatigue or energy production in future, that's a good idea. I have a session for a whole Body Scan Meditation which may interest you. But the other suggestion would be Mindfulness Meditation, which seems quite simple, but when practiced daily can really benefit overall health.
