You dang millennials always quitting your jobs never staying at one company until you are bones, having the audacity to move out of your hometown and see the world! I don't know what the world is coming to, you are supposed to live and die in the same town didn't anyone ever tell you that? Kidding aside happy to see you chase greener pastures, you have matured as a OTR truck driver and making this decision to go to a different company is a perfect one. Looking forward to the road ahead literally! Also Merry Christmas to you and BJ! Oh and BTW I live in STL again.
Lmao same old internet comments you already know! Shoot, I need to visit when I see my family there. Merry Christmas to you Jeff!
Lmaoooooo This is why those of us that drive for a living do so. We get tired of being in the same place. 😂 🤣
@@truckingwithtramjam haha
@@RidingWithDave can’t wait too see what you do next man
Jeff bro it a training company lol
Yes, I'm going to another company lol. I'm not quitting trucking just going to a better company for me and more money.
you and your girl still doing okay?
And as I understand it, in trucking, switching companies is the best way to increase your pay quickly.
Did Billie Jo join you in the new company? I will say again that some of those team and vacation videos were among the best that I enjoyed because of your quirky things y’all did, like skating on a retention pond.
why don't you join swift
Dave the Bull Hauler would be fun.
Go to Crete Carrier they pay more
Like you Dave I quit CFI for the second time this past Sept. BEST DECISION I’ve ever made. I’m making almost 40% more per week with my new company and treated so much better. Hope you find something that works for you!
Nathan Simko - What is the name of your new company?
I too am interested - for a friend of course
I have a friend wanting to know too lol
I cant wait to see where we go from here Dave. Excited to see the new company and truck youre going to. Thanks for the video Dave!
I learned about CFI from watching your videos and so far I've enjoyed working here. I'm interested in seeing where you go next. Good luck and be safe!
I live about a mile west of the rest area you stopped at. It’s fun to watch videos and see how we all cross paths on a regular basis and never know it
Happy to see you're doing what you think is best for you! That's what life is all about. When you get your opportunities you take em! Hope you both have a lot of fun. Enjoy yourselves before getting back out there!! Can't wait to see more content. You're always an inspiration! Also merry Christmas, Happy holidays!
Real OGs know,if he's gonna quit he's gonna switch his content up for a little bit, then go right back to trucking😆ALSO:This is not any type of hate directed at dave,it's a simple joke because he's done that before is all,obv i hope he finds better at his new company, when one door closes another one opens
Right? He'll be back 😂
He is driving for another company. He left a communtiy post 2 moths ago about it.
Going to a better company.
@@RidingWithDave why did you leave cfi company are you going to better truck company
Yes
Randomly found your channel while trying to improve my RV trailer turning skills, and just love your content (subscribed). Great attitude man, it's been fun looking at older videos and seeing your progression. My close friend drove for about a decade and he's share so many wacky stories. I know having an RV doesn't compare, but I can sorta relate to getting through tight spaces and how you handle everything with patience and humility is really inspiring. Really put my temper in check, I'm hoping to take more of your attitude going forward. I hope the new gig works out great and you have more videos soon.
It’s been 3 months since Dave quit CFI. If Dave is working for another company then it’s hard to believe that none of his 275k subscribers have have spotted him yet.
Wish you the best Dave. You've been a great inspiration over the years and I really hope you continue to keep us along on your journey. My careers over the years have been similar with many changes for better opportunities so I support you doing what's best for you and your family instead of just bowing to the corporations you work for. But no matter what you choose, I wish you the best and hope you stay happy in what you do. I hope to one day see you doing vlogs as a truck owner operator.
Great inspiration for work. Acting like a total idiot.
I don't want to stress you ... 😎 ... but eagerly waiting for the next installment of your trucking life. Happy New Year to you and Billie Jo! Wishing you all the best for the future.
Happy you're not quitting trucking just yet despite the rough last few videos! Looking forward to seeing what new company you end up working for and the new truck and roads beyond!
Dave the first truck you had holds a place in your heart but the first truck you buy for yourself will hold even more value to you.
Can confirm
is this a clue?
@@kaidencox292 no Idea
@@kaidencox292 I doubt it. Owning your own truck after just 2 years, not even a full 2 years? Pretty sure he's going to some other company, perhaps one that isn't a mega carrier.
Everyone should buy after a year or two. Chased the money for ten years (half union at least so local and better pay while local, teamsters 456) wish I went OO immediately. Worst timing last year but just work more and get a prE log (99 and older engine for those who don’t know)
Dave it’s awesome to enjoy this journey of your life!!!! Been following you since 2020 and your vids are awesome
I enjoyed the video. I can’t wait to drive again. I left trans am because they messed up a few of my checks. People hate the direction trucking has gone, but imo it’s still a great job for an introvert like myself. Best of luck in whatever you do and where ever you go!!
That takes me back 7 months when i started driving, I pulled into that rest area with my trainer and waited for a guy try to parallel park in one of those little spaces for the longest time.
bro i saw my old truck driving down the highway one time from when i was at prime that was my first truck almost made me shed a tear and it was really nice 621024 will never be forgotten
You're a young man. It's perfectly normal and natural to want to do new things in your life. I'll enjoy your videos, no matter where you land. Good luck to you.
Hey DAVE!! GOOD LUCK !! Hope you already had a new job already lined up.i NEVER QUITE ONE UNLESS I HAD GREENER PASTURES TO GO TO.!!! I JUST RETIRED OCT20.2022...50 YRS OF TRUCKING!!! ENJOYED RIDING ALONG .HELPS ME WITH WITH DRAW ON THE ROAD. KEEP THOSE WALMART SHELVES FULL FOR ME
Been waiting for this video. Knew it was coming. Hope you found a better place to go!
Hope you left CFI on good terms. They seem to have been good to you and you never know when you may have to come back.
On to bigger and better congratulations Dave that’s awesome!
DAVE!!!!!!!!!! WE NEED AN UPDAT!E!!!!! Please......
I just got back to CFI, really was looking forward to meet you and BJ, wish you the best!!
Hey Dave. Hope all is well !!! Im curious when youre uploading your next vid.
Hope you had a safe&sane holiday season!
Best of luck to you in the future Dave. Love your videos.
Left my company 4 months ago for crete/shaffer. I'm on the shaffer side alot more miles, higher cpm, pre-planned for following week. Very glad I made the move!
Dave I found your channel after I lost my job, I am currently studying for my CDL, I found a local company I want to start with. Good luck on your future endeavors! I hope to see you on the road some day!
Dave whatever you choose to do in life we will always support you i watch riding with jay when you don’t upload you and jay my favorite youtube truck driver
Appreciate it man!
Have a great vacation adventure and we'll see you when you get a new rig. Stay safe out there!
I'm leaving for training on the 5th of December. I just have to thank you for getting me into trucking and helping me learn along the way! You're the best Dave!
don’t bother, you’re wasting time. it’s low pay. people drive like shit. companies lie to you. and if you have bills good luck. Also have fun parking on ramps with no bathrooms around.
Don’t listen to people. Do your best, be as attentive and safe as possible when driving, and push yourself. It will get hard, but push through and it will be a great experience
Take your time when backing. Don't let anybody rush you, get out and look if your aren't sure about your positioning. With good trip planning you won't find yourself parking at on ramps.
@@antigravity1669 sounds like you got burned, badly. Too bad your passing around advice to people who you know nothing about or what they need. Yet you still watch trucking videos even with so much hate for this industry?
@@loadedtrucker447 fair warnings. is all. got burned ? that’s 99 percent of trucking companies
Finally you put out the video. Your killing me dragging it out lol. It’s all good. Hope you show us what company your going to sooner than later. Good luck with it.
Well Dave, I will be waiting for some more money videos my guy. Always a blast watching you create content. Best of luck at the new joint. You’ll kill it no matter where you end up.
I’ve never heard of a company paying for a rental car to get you home because you quit. That’s crazy. Pretty cool though good luck
Excited for what your future holds and watching that content! 😁
I was born in Columbus, OH at Mount Carmel Hospital. Live in southern Ohio now. I have been to Columbus every now and then visiting places. You have to eat at "The Spaghetti Warehouse" or "York Steakhouse" if you get a chance.
I hope the content keeps coming!!! I really enjoy your vlogs :)
Best of luck in your new job drive safely😊
Good luck on your next journey.. see ya when you get back...
Your right in saying it’s not as sad as the last one but I’m a bit scary for you about what company you will go with and the adventures you will have. 2023 hopefully you will have another job. I hope for the best for you angel Dave with Billie jo on the trucking career it’s scary honestly
Wish you great happiness on your new journey brother. Hate to see you go, but if we don't try other adventures we don't grow. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up.
hope to see u back on the road soon.
I started watching you when you were in Mississippi running around on a grom. It’s been years since you’ve popped up on my feed to watch. Still the same fella. Good to see. Hope you’re still spending time on two wheels. Don’t worry, I’ll say hello to HWY 90 and I10 for you.
I live in Ohio and here it's Fall right now and it's always busy in Columbus Ohio
Watching this super late but I've enjoyed watching the uploads with Cfi. Never met Tim but shout-out to him he's seems like a good man. Cfi has treated you well and good luck with your next endeavors wish ya the best man. We'll be here waiting for the next upload
I appreciate it and yeah Tim was always awesome, no problems with him!
Your T680 is going to miss for sure, but another will probably swing back to you lol, Kenworth loves you Dave and it shows😆❤️
Will miss the videos. Very entertaining and educational. Enjoy the time off on vacation
Good luck, my CFI brother. Be safe 🙏
I miss Dave mannn. Can’t wait for your comeback 💯
I hope for the best for you please stay safe and go do something you like to . And one more I have been watching your for a whole year
Best of luck in your new adventures.
Dave, I would love to see you go OO, but times are tough for that right now…you’d bring so much more insight to the trucking industry…
It will never get better. The whole world needs to be destroyed.
I wish you the best, I remember switching companies for more pay as well. You got to do what you got to do.
I remember the truck I had for Covenant Transport, which was 5549, which was picked up in Chattanooga Tennessee. When I got out of the truck, it had four hundred and twenty six thousand miles on it
Glad you finally decided to talk to that swift recruiter that you was waiting on over your home time. Can't wait to see the next video!
Best of luck Dave! God Bless
dave has to say even if you haven't been driving very long. find a really good driver, look at the situation very carefully, always consider your options. a good example of how it should be done and a good example for new drivers.
hope you make the right choice
but of course you know that when you try.
definitely enjoyed your videos. it always gives me energy to continue as a driver myself.
Greetings from Belgium.
good luck....
I'm really excited to see the new company Dave. I wish you the best!
For some reason, your pfp looks a LOT like the shape of my State (Paraná, Brazil) lol
Look forward to the next one Dave give me some amusement to watching over tide here in New Zealand look after yourself until next one
Checking back in as I’m having Dave withdrawal and wanted to wish you the best and happy holidays. Saw that now deleted community post with you in a hotel room with your feet up, haha. I hope everything is going okay and you aren’t playing ‘truck musical chairs’ of sorts. I’ll be here (I hope) when you get back :) be careful out there bud
Good luck in your new adventures
Good luck with your new adventure
Good luck 🤞. Stay safe my friend. God bless you. 🙏
My question is when are we getting more video's?!!!
Congratulations on what ever you decide to do.. it's winter time up in the North land .
Hey Dave, now that you don’t have your old GPS, all I wanna say is…
*Say A Command*
Hell yeah Dave, good luck in your new adventure lol
Smart move, I would never stay with a mega carrier I did Werner my first year then been with smaller companies ever since and now I found a good one working only 4 days a week about $2000+ a week
What company are you at now?
Slow trucks, cameras and low pay is for people that don’t know no better
@@lashayw1 it's called KLM. We're based in Bedford Park, IL. Chicagoland
@@AceSmoke662 Cameras is gonna be standard soon to be installed but probably not on
DMN bout 96K a year you found a good a$$ job definitely stay where u at
Can't wait to see this next chapter Dave! Love from Arkansas
I just subscribed and I'm looking forward to your next chapter. You remind me of Chuck from Trucking Through Life. Lots of good energy with a bit of humor.
Good luck look forward to seeing your videos stay safe
Good luck on your new driving job. I follow a trucker who switched from Werner to CRETE. So far it's turning out well. He gives his 6 month update shortly. Another driver I follow just did around 3.5 years with Maverick LLC as a flat bedder. Makes the jump to Oakley as an owner operator. Will be interesting to see how all this turns out in the future including your new endeavor.
Kevin and Tanya are a lot of fun to follow
You were right by the jeep plant. And I live a few miles in Michigan by Taylor Have a safe trip going home
Try Continental Expedited out of Clarksville Tennessee. My brother drives for them. He's OTR, out for 5 weeks and home for a week. Been with them over a decade.
I hope he doesn't have a young family at home.
Im ready for your next adventure.
Can't wait to see the future of RWD GOOD LUCK
I got a CDL because of you and Life behind the wheel channel. I’ve been with the same company since I got out of school. Doing flatbed
Who’s the company?? Mc Elroy?
💖💖💖 Checking in, Checking in 💖💖💖
Hey Dave I started my trucking career at CFI my 1st truck was 7960 and when I left it was 11831🙂 hope you find something just as good
Cool seeing you drive through my city! I know all about that 23 traffic lol.
I’m almost 3 months in with CFI. They’re a good company haven’t really had any problems with them, just once they got me home a day late but it’s whatever. Wish the pay rate was higher but I’m getting good miles and good checks regardless for being a rookie.
you need to go with the money when it comes to trucking.
Dave it’s midnight on dec 1 . Don’t do it!!! You are my hero😅😅😅
Merry Christmas to you and BJ! Love u bro...Keep on truckin...LOL!
I also am about to change companies that I drive for. Been doing a dedicated specialized gig for about 3 years, and I am switching to a local company that will allow me to go owner operator. Hopefully for the first few months when I’m company to get used to the new company and a more normal operation, I will be making more money than I have been, but if not I won’t complain either. Good luck with your new job.
Seen a quite a few trucks with goal on their mirrors. I didn't realize there were so many soccer fans in trucking.
As someone who grew up around truck drivers my grandfather put 43 years into trucking OTR and my father did 15 years OTR but he now does local to be closer to family
hey Dave, I had that exact same gps when I drove and my last drive was almost the exact route although I stopped in Toledo and went back down to Georgia and back to Toledo. Also US23 goes thru my hometown!! So that’s pretty exciting to see that lmao
On to the next one! Happy holidays
Hell yea been waitin for this for awhile. You’re too good for CFI brother Can’t wait to see what ya end up doin 👍🏼👍🏼 support from🇨🇦
Thanks for the vlogs Dave. Good luck with your new adventures.
You went through my city of Toledo on your last trip. That’s crazy. Hope your new company works out for you!
I live like 10 minutes from where your drop was
Alright alright jokes over when’s the video coming. We miss you Dave. Come back!
The grass always looks greener but one must cut that grass also. Hope everything works out for you.
There's a lot of good Trucking companies but everything has to line up to make it a good company. The dispatcher, fleet manager (if they are separate), the Terminal Leader, the shops, the truck you get assigned too, the shippers/receivers. The random trailer you pick up if you have to swap trailers, etc. I had a great time at Swift but I've heard different stories about other people. I had a lousy time at Prime was told I wasn't Trucker material because I wouldn't roll in the dirt for them and be abused. I had a meh time at another Refer company. And I have a wonderful experience at my current company. I found one where everything for me lined up so I hope nothing changes for a while.
Now i have to start watching riding with jay!!!!
Good luck my friend
I am in Columbus, kind of weird watching you drive roads I know so well. lol
Nevermind I tape before I watched the whole video, so I'm happy you 2 still together 🙌🤪
I meant type
Safe travels Dave thanks for the laughs. 😂😏
