The prequels imo still hold up today and I’d much rather watch a great movie in 1080p with fantastic fight scenes than a frosted turd in 4k with minimal fight scenes, poor technique and huge gaps in the storyline. There’s a reason Lucas in the most successful film director outside of Hollywood and huge corporations. The man created this all on his own

I remember he even studied the speech patterns of the original Vader and tried to match it in the prequels, that’s why Anakin talked the way he did. Sounded a little corny without the mechanical Vader voice, but the speech pattern was pretty damn close. He definitely committed to the role. I was young then, didn’t realize how much crap he got over those movies. Even with the dated visuals, they’re friggin masterpieces compared to what’s out now. If it was possible to redo the prequels with today’s saber and video effects? Even better.

You can work extremely hard on a scene, putting in hours and hours, only for the director to cut it out in the final production.
While I haven't had this yet, you can spend 12 hours in a day working on a scene in a film set that grips and gaffers worked so hard on, only for the two or three minute scene be deleted because the director or producer doesn't like it.

Nick Gillard is such a great swordsman that he literally invented all 7 of the lightsaber dueling styles. Granted they are based on real world fencing techniques. Like Form 5 Djem So is the style Japanese Samurai used, and it's Anakin's primary dueling style. Whereas Makashi is based on a Renaissance era of a French style of dueling. Djem So is high pressure offense and putting so much power into tour swings that it overwhelms an opponents block and leaves an opening. Makashi is for older or physically weaker duelists because it relies on conservation of movement and energy and also can use your opponents force and momentum against them

I like that Anakin is clearly pushing Dooku back constantly in this version. The count was on the defense the entire time, you could see Anakin's cold, hard confidence and stoic stare. You can feel Dooku's signature composure and reagleness giving way to the onslaught of Anakins non-stop pressure. You can feel Dooku's desperation. This would have been far superior and showed us right from the get go why Palpatine was willing to risk everything he had worked for in order to turn Anakin. He wanted that unstoppable power for himself.
