I got mine in and couldn't be happier with it. Dialed and UV are the only sights that even look like finished products, and everyone is complaining about the price. I paid $500 for the Landslyde, and that definitely isn't worth it. I'm a machinist and work in engineering. I know what goes into manufacturing these sights, and $600 is a fair price point. I could machine one myself and wouldn't be able to make it cheaper with the process they used. The aluminum was machined with small ball endmills, fine cuts, crazy work holding, and long cycle times. You can see some of the tool marks if you know what to look for. The plastic was injection molded, and whoever did that did an outstanding job. If I had to make the UV, I would have die cast the aluminum. Which would not have produced the same quality product but would have lowered the price point. I have yet to use a zero stop but it would be easy to make one for this current design. Just make a clamp for the guide track. The only thing I might do is make clicks on the elevation. I'd do that on the front rack so every time you move a tooth on the rack you get feedback.
@@redbeard_outdoors it’s all fine and dandy until you’ve owned it for 3 years and need work done on it. It would be such an easy purchase if we knew they stood behind it for life
Dovetail side mount and Mathews Bridge Lock bars are not the same. The Mathews dovetail is an offset bar and the Side Mount is a straight bar. If you try to use the side mount in the Bridge Lock, there can be issues with running out of windage when sighting in.
Personally waiting for gen 2 on this sight. For the price it’s gonna need to fix the small little issues and improve the feel and finish a little before it’s worth upgrading from my Elevate.
If any of your viewers are left-handed, they should know that UV is not actually making a left handed sight, which are usually a mirror-image of the right handed version. Instead, they're taking a right handed UV Slider, flipping it upside down, remounting the Scope, and calling it a left handed sight. Left-handed archers are a small population around which to cater, but if they're going to offer a left-handed product, that's not how to do it.
I have a slider I love everything about it except the pin brightness. The pins are not bright at all especially the yellow pin… even with light on, on a bright day the pins are not bright enough to see. Really want to love this sight but I don’t know…
What size pens did you have? Does that have anything to do with the brightness without the light? I just ordered mine and it’s supposed to come in January, worried about the price tag, and I’ve seen the dimness in person
Can I put my old uv3 3 pin on this slider...will it mount up correctly? I've left a voice mail and texted ultraview and can't get a response. Any information would be appreciated! Thank you
I bought one recently, but haven’t set it up bc I’m waiting on my Lift. Me question is, will this be overkill for someone mostly stand hunting whitetail and shooting in my backyard? I’ve got a garmin A1i on my other bow, and am not planning on moving that to the lift, so I need to something different. I’ve never used a slider, so it’ll be new to me. Am I spending money on features I won’t get to use since I’m not stretching my range out enough for the slider? Like I said, I’ve already bought it, so the money isn’t the issue, just wondering if it’s overkill and I should just use the trophy ridge react H5 that I’ve got as well. Thanks.
It’s an amazing sight and I definitely don’t recommend second guessing your purchase. Test yourself and head out to shoot further distances or go to an archery shoot for fun like TAC or MAF
I find that the windage knob is difficult to if not impossible to pull out sometimes. I used a plastic plyers to get mine to come out the last time I needed it. Do you have the same problem or do you know of a solution?

Love the feedback! Thank you!
Sounds to me that you actually work for them.
Why doesn’t UV offer a lifetime warranty? That alone makes HHA and Dialed way better options.
That’s a great question tbh. Not sure 🤔

It says lifetime warranty on their website 🤷🏽♂️

Very good point. My mistake in the info. Thank you for showing that. If people go in and order the slider they’ll see the 3 options available 💪🏻

I definitely hear that!
One more thing to add....HHA makes a TRUE left handed sight...not just right handed with everything flipped upside down🙃
They make good sights too. And I definitely understand left hand shooters have limited options

I know they are working on a few fixes and this might be one of them. I hope they offer the lefty sight soon.
🔥
Thank you!
What one of the two sites would you prefer Dialed or UV for the type of hunting you do?
I use my dialed sight for the majority of the hunting. I have shot some 3D events with the UV and it’s pretty sweet as well.
Do you have an opinion on single pin vs 3 pin? I’ve been a fixed 5 pin guy for years and am making the move to the uv slider.
I prefer 3 to 4 pins for hunting. 1 pin for target

I hear you on this. I agree that the pins are a bit dim without the light. Good feedback, thank you

Pretty sure they’re .015” each pin

Is it the XL?

I haven’t had that issue, but I would definitely reach out to UV to discuss it with them
