Juat a slightly modified Nesmuk knife

good review

I've been a trigger puncher forever, due to being as self taught archer. Have always struggled with some target panic (my pin settles just below the bullseye). I saw this new release and had to give it a try. I have probably shot too light of a trigger for too long to time my shot. I felt like the click would allow me to train myself the correct way to shoot and not be afraid of wrapping my finger around the trigger. And what little I've shot it so far, it has! I think it will absolutely make me a better bow hunter. I went with the webconnect for the most adjustability to get a good finger wrap around the trigger.

Would like your opinion..I’m running 65 with VAP TKO 470 grain..DeadMeat, MegaMeat or Evolution Hyde? What would you go with?

I’ve been shooting the Nock On Backstrap which I like a lot but I think the clicker feature in the Solex would work well. Maybe let me know if I’m actually pulling through instead of building tension between my wrist and elbow and thinking I’m pulling when I’m not ?

Once you hit the click, Do you keep putting more pressure to it on the trigger? Or do you stop putting pressure on the trigger and continue to pull

Scott Jaws have no complaints really it has the adjustments one would want or need. But I always thought about a two stage release like a rifle trigger then the Stan clicker came out and I said that’s it. But I like shooting longer shots and always refer back to the index. So I would love to try the clicker in a index 🎯

I was just looking at this release yesterday. I don't like leather straps with buckles, they stretch and it seems that one hole is too tight and the next is too loose. Using a BOA strap now and a velcro one.

What color are your strings electric red, neon red ???

Were you able to swap from the universal mount hamskea to the cor mount without any additional parts?

Regarding micro adjust, I like it but I don't like knobs that are not being used and don't like toolless tightening of the adjuster, they tend to come loose. It would be nice to have a small tool that can access the micro adjuster and the tightener and them out that tool in your pocket until needed again. That way no protruding knobs , however small they might be, on that equipment. I don't plan on tweaking anything when I'm out hunting.

I've tried peeps with verified lens while hunting and I always had issues with it getting wet and stuff sticking to it and I couldn't see through it. May depend on hunting environment. Probably should be carrying a cleaning kit if using peep with lens.

Thanks for the comparison of the carbon weave between the Rip TKO and the HLR. Reading "3k" or "1.5k" doesn't really answer anything. Nice to see shorter steel half-outs; I couldn't bring myself to use the aluminum that came with the Rip TKO. I was buying Iron Will inserts and collars, but that really adds to the cost of an arrow build.

So what is better the 5.0 match or HLR?

Why would you choose the stoned goat as a skinning knife? It has a paracord handle which absorbs all kinds of blood and fluids and cannot be properly cleaned or sanitized.

Great blade, but why so much ricasso?? It do nothing to a knife. Put the egde all the way at the blade instead.

That knife is basically the same size as the Buck 113 Skinner from their custom shop with the magnacut steel.The Buck knife weighs more, but it has a real bolster. And it has actual wood handle. Ebony. You can buy one from the custom shop for $175.00. The bolster is brass. For $20 more you can get it in nickel silver. This Elkhorn (of course sold out) would cost you $300.00. Me thinks I would spend my money on a Buck for the $175. By the way, I already have a custom Buck 113 with Desert Ironwood scales in S30V steel. And I have one on order with S35VN steel and REAL elk horn handles. Purchased it in December. And who knows which companys heat treat is the best. MKC does NOT do their own heat treating. Buck does.
