      Hi! I'm working with OOMA right now as a new B2B Sales Associates. Can you make a new updated video for OOMA business phones?

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  6 месяцев назад

      @@aliciamaes.calayag6130 Hi there Alicia. We will probably do an updated video for sure in 2024. Also we will mostly likely be at channel partners this year, and if so we will cover Ooma as we typically do while there.

    Hello, I currently work at Ooma and we do not use Yealink phones anymore! We now have Grandstream phones and we do offer free phones with some of our packages. Your video is great and super informative just thought you should know!

      Oh wow, that's news to me. I'll double check this with our Ooma channel manager and maybe we will do an update on this as to "why" Ooma isn't supporting Yealink IP phones anymore. Now you've got me curious.

    Anyone confused and think they are hearing “New York, California”, he is saying “Newark, California”. Newark, California is a city in the Bay Area not too far from Sunnyvale (omma’s headquarters location).

      Thank you for pointing that out. A lot of people have commented about this error. I did indeed say Newark, California in the video, but my editor at the time, who wasn't from the United States, got the caption and city in the video "all wrong" haha. I'm just glad that most people overlook the error and are here to learn about Ooma, whereas many others seem to be here to learn about "Geography" and this channel isn't about that: We are here to talk VOIP and Internet! 😊

      "Newark" California has an Empire State Building?

      WHY NOT HAVE IT CORRECTED? Newark, California is certainly nowhere close to New York California.
      I live in Newark, CA 😩

    Ooma has horrible customer service. I have tried to cancel several times. After wasting an hour online (because calling is the only way to cancel) they tell me it is cancelled, but I keep being charged. I have wasted hours of my life trying to get rid of this service. If they are treating other customers like me, I imagine they will be subject to a class action lawsuit at some point.

    Sounds good, but I m looking for a basic phone system for 2 elderly people in their 90's No cell phones, only desk top and one phone number; and on their in income they cannot pay much. Would Ooma fit the bill?

    Would 'ooma connect internet services' be able to handle many devices as within a large family? For example would we be able to stream Netflix on the TV and have several people watching RUclips via Wi-Fi on their phones, while others are simultaneously browsing the internet, without any issues or very slow internet speeds?

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  2 года назад

      I really honestly cannot speak much on that as we don't specialize in residential services. We consult and cater strictly with small, medium and large businesses only for internet and phone services. I would contact Ooma directly and ask them about your questions regarding specifications and/or requirements or limitations surrounding their internet services for family/home-use.

      If you're referring to Ooma Business, that I don't know, you'd have to ask them specifically if your IP phone models can be "provisioned" with their cloud. If you are referring to the Residential Ooma which I believe uses an ATA, then YES if it's an analog hard wire phone, IN THEORY it should work, but it's always best to ask Ooma support directly. They have a list of exactly what phone models DO and DON'T work on the platform.

    Do you have to buy special ooma phones for each ooma device, or you can just use regular home phones that you currently have? Do you have to buy a ooma device for each home phone you would like to have? For example, if you want three phones in your home you have to buy three ooma devices?

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  2 года назад

      If you are referring to Ooma residential, for solely personal or at home use, I honestly do not know. My guess is, like Vonage residential services, it uses an ATA that allows you to use whatever analog phone you wish. We only recommend and consult on the business services of Ooma and that requires actual business grade IP phones, such as, but not limited to Poly, Yealink, etc.

      Hi you can use your own phones but you would need an Ooma Office station. Our phones are better if want to have multiple people on hold!

    Does this phone service report to a person’s business credit profile?

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  Год назад +2

      Hi Audrey. From what I understand no. Not just Ooma but all of them to my knowledge do not report to nor affect your credit in any way because NO credit is given. Most all VOIP phone services providers are "pre-pay" meaning when you are billed you are paying the first month in advanced, therefore if upon your 2nd bill you don't pay, your service is suspended and "nothing is owed" because you were always paying for the upcoming 30 calendar days in advance. I hope that answers your question, but in regards to affecting credit or issues with getting service due to credit rating/score, I don't believe that's an issue to worry about when selecting a VOIP service provider. 😊
