great to see this. Just hit 32 on my first character and got my first past lives so its very relevant for me. I will say, seeing my damage/attack speed/move speed on reincarnation sapped a lot of motivation haha

The best thing about DDO. I tr quite slowly but single heroic completionist and and many Epic Trs ( inc 1 epic completionist). I love how it makes my Arcane casters much better attack and defensive wise.
I am a new player, I'm actually on my second life as a monk and was planning doing 3 of every class but I'm so glad I found this video. I mean I love monk so I'd love to triple it but with the other classes I may just do 1 of every other class. Man the options 🤯
I love content for this game. I feel it needs more, if you agree I'll start making some :D I really enjoy many systems in the game. I would love to tr with some players in the future. I have 6 heroic past lives, 2 iconic and 4 epic past lives. I still need to get more reaper xp plus , I am missing some amazing items like Jack Jibber's blade and a quiver of alacrity. I look forward to playing with anyone in the future on the 64 bit servers or Khyber. Cheers everyone sorry if I stole any thunder from our amazing hosts. If you'd like to learn from myself or others on Khyber server we are still playing often and enjoying the wonderful world of ddo.
The racial and epic past lives generally have so much more impact for the time investment and the passive benefits improve every character you play. Class lives just feel like they take so much more of a back seat now. Get that wizard life, get 3 Sacred fist because 15 Hamp is incredible, get completionist for the passive feat, and churn out those more useful lives before continuing to focus on classes.
Before I listen to your presentation, I'm a noob at reincarnation despite playing onand off since 2006 euro servers. I had a ranger rogue build as very first life which I +20'd into an artificer when the class was released. I later went onto reinacrnate x3 Arti x3 Druid x3Sorc x3Fghtr X3brd... I had no plan on what lives in what order, but I incidently found that arti and druid were good starters for Int based checks and enhanced Hirelings respectfully the following classes Ive pretty much gone random... The extra sub classes will give even more past life buffs, and even though as youve already stated in privious presentations you only need 3 lives in a class regardless of sub class mix, ultimately you should get all available buffs. (just wish I knew sub classes had own bonuses as I would not have mixed Regular Bard with Sub class bard ( makes a mess of my spreadsheet lol, plus now I'm going to have to do 6 lives of bard in a row, but thats my hang up )
I feel like this video is wrong. Long time players all have the run speed 30 Quiver of Alacrity and so they forget how important runs speed is to the leveling process. The first three lives that any player should do are the three tiefling scoundrel lives for +30 runspeed. Once you do those then you can d anything else but those three lives and running +30 from then on on every character makes this game much better.
I'm trying for heroic completionist first. But it's getting harder as I run out of class choices. I'm almost certainly going to wind up with only spell casters left and wanting to do melee next, or the reverse. The last life of two are probably going to be a bit off the wall 😂
I have a hard time staying at cap. The reasons for that are the lack of gear to use at 29, the feeling of needing to reincarnate, etc. I do know Legendaries give out an okay amount of reaper xp, but the 66 RP I have have been mainly farmed up just by doing reaper 1 while on the TR train. So I decided that I will not farm seeds on alt, not take coms as the quest end rewards, and never buy hearts in the store. This way I'm at leasst forced to stay at cap till I get my 42 seeds for an epic heart. I only did it once so far but I think it works, maybe... PS: TBH I don't really know if it works, I usually run r4 solo in epics but the moment I step into legendary reapers even 1 skull can beat me up even tho I had such an easy time in what goes up just 5 minutes ago. therefore the RXP I get in legendaries are very much compareable or even less than what I get from 24 and onwards. PPS: By the way I don't do any slayers whatsoever. my pots from gold/silver rolls kinda just sit there in that storage character...
Question if anyone is answering on an older video. Being a feat, completionist bonuses don't count for meeting feat requirements, correct? Like two handed fighting needing strength 15?

A barb will benefit from bonuses to offense in the Dread Adversary tree (mp, hit and damage, stats, boosts, etc.), bonuses to defense in the Grim Barricade tree (prr, mrr, hps, saves, con, dodge, boosts, etc.), plus extra hp for every point spent in any tree. So, would yall say that the most efficient way to get past lives would be to get to lvl 30, Epic reincarnate back to 20, then heroic reincarnate back to lvl1 gaining all the bonuses, rinse and repeat?
Hey Elvangoode, basically yes, but wherever possible combine class past lives with iconics because an iconic reincarnation gives both the iconic past life and the class past life. We also encourage folks to stay at cap and do as many first time legendary reaper quests as possible because reaper xp is disproportionally large at endgame. Endgame is by far the best place to gain Rxp and acquiring Rxp and reaper points is also an important part of building character power, along with past lives. In other words, we don't want players to see past life acquisition and Rxp acquisition as separate endeavors. Take advantage of it all every life. First time Legendary Rxp is awesome and the most efficient place to accumulate Rxp. All that said, there will be times when you don't enjoy playing a certain build and don't want to play to 30, in which case TR/RR at 20 and move on to the next life. Hope that helps. Plus, you get an extra +45% first time XP for a quest of run on R1, on top of what you would get running it elite. It’s definitely worth it. Getting good, level appropriate gear is the biggest boost when getting into running Reaper difficulty (not past lives).
