I tried the "make it look easy" strategy again and again and I just couldnt get past bahamut. So what I did was replace Tifa for Barret and got everyones hp to over 9000 with hp ups. You can use a similar strategy on shiva and fat chocobo by getting them staggered quickly with magic although you wont get as much damage in because you wont have tifa. With Leviathan you can do exactly as Fuzz does but have Barret and Aerith on both ends. This way you can save mp by using almost all physical attacks against leviathan. Make sure Barret has healing and revive so he can revive people after mega flare. Keep him healthy and use steelskin before mega flare. Unfortunately you will have to fight ifrit with this strategy but hes really not difficult especially if you have elemental fire on your armor. Its not the quickest way but I got it on my first try when I swapped to this strategy.
Did you use the same materia as the video? I've been in the same situation as you and bot oh boy I've been thinking about the "slow and steady" method...Again, did you use everything as the video said?
I found that using Blizzara when Bahamut is pressured a good strategy, it raises the stagger bar massively with not as damage as the -aga spells so his HP isn't low enough to summon Ifrit
I liked it a lot that you didn't use shortcuts, but instead decided to access the menu that slows down time, so I could easily see what was going on and follow through. Most guides use shortcuts and I get absolutely lost. Thank you!
My problem is I can't put enough damage on him during that second pressured state, he recovers and summons Ifrit. I think I need to master 2 more magic ups

Late to the party! You are my hero. I tried this tactic before with Shinryu's guide but could not get it to work really and I got burned our a lot. Then I found your video some time ago and gave it a try fight by fight. Practiced a bit and got better but I knew it was not my day so I let it go. Today, coincidentially the second birthday of my son, I said I give it another try. Shiva did resist me a little until I found that I just had switch to Aerith and Cloud to build up ATB after casting Stop with Tifa, to cast Firaga as you suggested, from there on really easy kill. Chocobo is easy but sometimes the two spawning adds might kill someone, bummer, but still manageable. Leviathan, omg thank you for the change to tactic, it is so good and save and even if you mess up (a little), recover is still very possible. You need 7 Thundara's to stagger him so being prepared for that also helps a lot. I feared Bahamut because somehow I could not prevent his abilities the last time. This time on fight 2 I managed to do it (I switch the order of casts: first Magic Area with Aerith and the Cloud casted Firaga) and then I just used your tip: 2nd cast goes of, cast AGA spell with the other one, there is always enough time to get ATB, even with Cloud. I failed the last burn phase like 4-5 times because In was a dummy and used Focused Strike with Tifa, changed that and Bahamut went down... I was so excited. There he was, Pride and Joy, Jikes. As your explanation is a little bit jumbled due to your problems during the fight I watched Shinryu's guide on that again and went into the fight. He stood up numerous times but he is really slow in casting and moving, there is a lot of time to act. Then he grapped Tifa, I panicked but then I remembered what you said, keep going for the legs with Thundera or something else. Then I saw his HP and I said, "40%, your toast". AND I MANAGED TO KILL HIM FIRST TRY LIKE YOU. Aerith went out of mana, Tifa died but Cloud had enough mana do finish the job. Again I can't thank you enough!
Took me two years, and I did it! I finally freaking did it! I feel amazing now, thank you for the tidbit about separating Cloud and Aerith, and following the "run out of MP" method in part 5. Made it the easiest fight in the game.
Yeah. This strat is also called made easy but it really isn't easy at all. Yes sometimes it looks easy when taking out Shiva. But sometimes fat chocobo will ignore damage and become a wrecking ball. This strats is only easy for the vets in this game that knows everything about the bosses. Not to a casual gamer who just want to get it done.
@@AMaidenlessRunt You are right. The more I did it the more comfortable I got doing it. When I completed it against Bahamut (I think), that was 100% pure luck because I wasn't running the exact loadout the person in the video was using. I kept dying to Bahamut and it pissed me off so much.
@@jay____l haha I've only made it to Bahamut like 5 times. Fat Chocobo sometimes becomes a rolling tank and finishes me off or cloud or Aerith get shanked by the Tonberrie as they're casting the aga spells leaving Tifa alone to deal with chocobo in which of course I have to restart. Then the Leviathan fight sometimes he becomes immune to my thundaga or don't behave the way it does in this video same as Bahamut. Tbh. I got about 85% of the manuscripts maybe I should go collect the rest of them then return to this. Because in all honesty this challenge has frustrate me so much that I've been close of just uninstalling the game and moving on to something else.
@@AMaidenlessRunt To be honest, the key is to have the same loadout as the video and to follow it strictly. Once I got the timings down, it was more consistent, but still a little inconsistent. Good luck, it took me a while to complete it.
@@jay____l oh yeah I have everything maxed out like in the video. I can beat shiva and fat chocobo easily but like I said is the leviathan and Bahamut fight where inconsistencies starts to set in. If I could just get at least master the leviathan fight so I can get to Bahamut each time I wouldn't be complaining. But the bosses to me don't behave like in this video with leviathan and Bahamut they're always on the offensive from the get go like leviathan for example always do his water laser move in the beginning which causes the first aga spells to be wasted in vain, and hit all 3 characters taking a huge chunk of health.
Skill master and refocus are not neccessary, you can swap these out for spells like barrier and revive for more mp and magic stat , or use hp plus or an enemy skill for bad breath , however the skill master on tifa and aeris must be swapped out with hp plus some times Levi and bahamut dont cooperate so a little extra health is good
Your Leviathan strat of moving to the opposite ends of the arena is godly, it was always 100% effective for me, thanks to it I never died to Leviathan again 😂
Thank you for this, finally managed to nail this mission. Changed some things around since I couldn't kill Bahamut within time and he always managed to summon Ifrit. Put some HP plus to everyone, Cloud also had elemental+fire and steadfast block, which helped since I had to solo Bahamut while Ifrit was buzzing around. :D
I’ve been trying this fight for a while following Shinyu’s guide. I couldn’t for the life of me get passed leviathan! Took a little bit of practice to get him to look back and forth without attacking. Once I got that down I was able to kill him consistently. Fourth try on bahamut and I got to pride and joy. That fight went just like in this video, ran out of mp 2 characters dead but pulled it off first run! Thanks for the extra tips!
Great video, mate! It is equally great and most definitely helpful guide! I can tell that you are a bit disappointed that you didn’t accomplish a “clean” run, but I have to say, that was clearly impressive. Shock and awe is always very fun and quite enthralling to execute but I must say that close battles are more gratifying and memorable. I can never forget my finish with Type O Behemoth... Both Tifa and Barrett are down, Cloud had next to nothing HP, All MPs gone... Beast lunges and immediately eats a counterstance, limit gauge blinks ON and I finish the monster with an Ascension. I think it must’ve been a miracle that I stayed alive after the roof collapsed overhead...True story.
Okay, so while I still had trouble with Bahamut, I eventually realized that you shouldn't do too much damage to him on your first pressure. By the time he gets down to half (halfway through the 'm' of Bahamut), he then summons Ifrit.
Not gonna lie. This took me about 2 days to beat. But it wasn’t the pride and joy that was hard. It was Bahamut and Ifrit that made it very hard. Not until u use elemental 3 star and fire in your armor to take in health for both characters. 3rd characterized just have to watch out and make sure u are healing that character and equip a revival earring. It really did help a lot that way for me.
Just like yours and Shinyru guide, the part NEVER get anywhere near enough ATB to beat Bahamut. The window of opportunity is very small, which in return makes this guide ultimately useless for most players.

This is so much harder than the monsters of legend. I just can't beat it even if I followed the strategy here. Either my ATB is coming up too slow or the boss wake up early. I can't get pass bahama. Edit, I finally beat it after countless tries. Thanks.
Thanks so much! I couldn't get the timing down with shinryus guide, but cheesing leviathan helped a ton, bahamut took some time and effort to get the timing, I still didn't perfect the timing, had to kill Ifrit as well, but I made it passed, lost to pride and joy the first time, but when I made it back to him the second time, I managed to get him as I ran out of AP(since I had to waste a bunch killing Ifrit)
I just did it. The leviathan strategy is the best no damage in my second run bahamut went down fast. and the last battle only Aerith ran out of mp what I recommend is using tifa's thundaga early in the fight when he is down and you keep him down for the rest of the fight.

I feel like the elephant in the room with this strategy is that you're utterly defenseless if it doesn't go exactly the way it should in the videos. The time management gives almost no wiggle room, tried this about a half a dozen times now and I'm still getting stifled a lot of the time at shiva. Seems like a better strategy may take a little more time but your team won't be one shotted out of the fight if they do manage to squeeze a hit off on you.
Leviathan strategy NOT WORKING for me. Bahamut of course is absolute basrtd but can't even reach to him following this video. I destroy the first two bosses for seconds, and when i come to Leviathan, with this strategy can even kill him. This challenge become very annoying and all these guides are BS. None of them working properly
I just got the platinum !! I thank you for explaning how to properly used focused strike with Tifa this help me a lot to get ATB meters for all party members with ATB assist Materia.
i was able to do this blind and get my plat back in like the first week of release but just ramming dps into them without any strategy and was ass. But my ps4 crapped the bed and needed to get a new one and lost all my saves. But for whatever reason was struggling with the bahamut fight this time around, this helped quite a bit, thanks
@@TokenCast equipping each refocus gives +1 or +2 to all stats, it's a small boost that makes the difference rather than equipping a junk materia in that slot. A few others have similar effects, Barrier raises the defence stat for example.
After 50golden years. Finally defeated leviathan after being stuck for like forever. Then was able to defeat bahamut and pride on my first try. Awesome guide. 👌
I don't have two Refocus Materia; thus, it won't work for me. It seems that some materia can only be obtained by doing some of the stupid mini-games like pull ups where one can obtain, for instance, a second Magic Up materia. So I don't have either two Magic Ups or two Refocus. Anyhow, I can't use this video to beat these bosses, but thank you anyway.
I finally did it!! It took me several tries and I had to fight Ifrit as well as / after Bahamut, but it's done. Thanks for the video guide, it helped a lot 😁.

@@Drake039 yep, when i've reached bahamut i can't really get through hin for i lacked in MP.. but sometimes i've got enough MPs to go toe to toe with him but he never enters the pressured state (where he'll go kneeling down) then he'll summon ifirt just when i almost killed him..
Thanks for this great video. I got the Ultimate Weapon trophy on my third attempt following this video. I actually died at Leviathan the first time, then got to the Pride and Joy on the second but lost concentration close to the end. On my third attempt I somehow messed up when pressuring Bahamut and he summoned Ifrit but amazingly I managed to still win by having Cloud and Tifa chain "aga" spells on Bahamut and Aerith focused Ice magic on Ifrit. I then got to Pride and Joy again down to minimal health but then two party members got silenced and then killed, Aerith managed to finish the job using her remaining MP and sorcerers storm. A rough run with quite a bit of luck but it's been a while since I have played these types of games so was happy with the result. Great guide, clearly explained and super helpful!
This fight is bullshit. I've played till chapter 17 on hard with setups my guts told me and the game was fine. Now a single battle suddenly requires a coreography and specific maxed out materias. This is a trial and error chore, not a fun fight.
I'm having all the same trouble, but to be fair it's optional and the only real post-game challenge so it's supposed to be like that. It's just annoying that it requires grinding materia levels and stacking materia and equipment that you need to collect multiple of. 3 Fury Rings is an absolute requirement. I've got almost all the materia used here but only one Fury Ring because I didn't go back to the respawning chest for more, and I just don't do enough damage during pressure/stagger phases. Beating the game on hard was satisfying but I'm considering leaving it with one trophy (and the platinum) unclaimed because it's so bullshit. Then obviously there's people somehow speedrunning it with just Cloud and taking no damage, using toad rings to keep the others out of the fight. :/
Same. Even these made look easy guide isn't working for me. I've tried to reach out the FF7R ps community for help via share play and nobody has answer. At this point I'm just frustrated to the point where I feel like uninstalling the game. And yes I also get triggered seeing people solo this with cloud and Aerith while I'm struggling to get past leviathan with a nuke in Aerith and a wrecking ball tifa
@@AMaidenlessRunt I managed to beat Baham ut/Ifrit by playing quite defensively with Cloud and using Counterstance a lot while pelting him with Aerith's magic from afar and getting him in the back with Tifa after Cloud has countered. As soon as Ifrit came out, I summoned Shiva and did nothing but Shiva abilities on him (Bahamut tended not to do very much while I wasn't focused on him) and then I had Cross Slash and Somersault ready to go with Firagas to finish Bahamut off. It wasn't easy but that's how I eventually took it. P&J went down easy first try.

I DID IT ! I just had to put fire immunity on cloud for ifrit. Shiva and chocobo are very easy. Leviathan was a pain but I kept getting better at it. And the last boss got destroyed even after getting both my casters on silence
This is why I think replacing one the luck up and refocus with revival materia is a good idea. These fights sometimes don't go the way we plan and we have to make up some how to get back in the fight. Shiva and fat chocobo are somewhat easy to me leviathan is tough to deal with sometimes but I've haven't been able to beat Bahamut. Because I either don't pressure him fast enough or he ends up summoning ifrit. 150 hrs here and I still can't get this damned item.
Wow this was insane, but the leviathan method was a lifesaver. Final fight with the prototype I ran out of MP also and lost cloud, but kept my cool , distanced tifa and aerith (aeris) to opposite sides of the arena to keep him guessing then kept going behind him with tifa and spamming attacks and abilities whilst running off when he turned around

Great guide... A few details...i see a lot of bashing on square in yt vids,little tip for a milisec advantage,when building atb for Tifa,use triangle once,i found it a life saver... And didnt know for Levi trick,right and left you did...awesome... And i see pryde didnt rotate for his first move,for me it did,actualy lost Tifa once because when i ran around him i hit his leg and laser got me...do you think he didnt rotate and fallow you because you went wide and slower,nit going direct on him?
Great, great guide. Thank you! Your Leviathan method is way, waaay more reliable than the OG guide; I’m just not as skilled to do it his way, lol. Only thing I would say is, for anyone struggling with Bahamut, don’t be afraid to use Tifa to toss a couple emergency Thundagas after that initial pressure phase. He ended up summoning Ifrit with a sliver of health left, but an Arcane Ward Blizzaga and a couple of Divekicks wipes him almost immediately.
Thank you so much for this! Your guides are always so clear and easy to follow. FYI, despite the messages on the screen, the MP recovery between rounds is NOT 50% but rather just 30%. Notice, for example, that Tifa's maximum MP in your video is 70, and in between rounds she recovers only 21 MP (which is 30% of 70) and not 35 MP (which would be 50% of 70.) Likewise, Aerith recovers 55 MP (30% of 184) and Cloud recovers 46 MP (30% of 152.) I am told that this was a glitch in the programming, but regardless of the cause, each character only recovers 30% of his/her maximum MP between rounds. Thus, winning this challenge is even more difficult than it originally seems, and as you suggest, it is all the more important to get the most out of each MP spent.
Great guide and super easy to follow. I'm making it to Bahamut constantly but then he summons ifrit and wipes me. I'm also running low on MP when he's got 15% or so of health left, so I might have to grind my MP materia (they are lvl 3).
I DID IT! :'D Fucking finally!!!! Had to do some changes on Tifa so at least she wouldn't die on Ifrit. Beat Bahamut and then Blizzaga on Ifrit to reach the final. On said final.... Everything went wrong. I ended up soloing it with Aerith for the W🏆 My run on my channel!
Fuck this fucking boss fight. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered anything so infuriatingly inconsistent and unfair. I’ve been trying 4 fucking days straight now trying this, I’ve watched this video at least 30 times, followed it second by second, command by command and the build im using is 100% identical to this and i STILL can’t beat bahamut. Out of the 9,736,835 attempts I’ve made, No 2 times have been the same. FUCK THIS.
This is a great strategy however, when Bahamut recovers from the first stagger he summons Ifrit, Even when I’m hitting him with multiple magic attacks. Not fair Bahamut!!! I suppose I’ll try again but this is an annoying five round match with Bahamut being the worst so far!
Idk if you finished this, but That means you are doing too much damage from his first pressured state. He summons ifrit at 50% hp (dont let his ho go past the m in his name)
@@Dr.FunkMd-RS No I didn’t finish it, I got too frustrated but I didn’t know about that tip that if his power level goes below the ‘M’, he will summon Ifrit, even after his first pressured state, I keep trying to spam Bahumut with mostly Firiga, he still keeps bypassing the spells to summon. One time, I actually beat Bahumut, but got defeated by Ifrit, it’s ridiculous 😤

I just put elemental with fire on two party members armor. Effectively making ifrit your healing bitch. Also PJ has fire attacks as well

Your Leviathan strat of moving to the opposite ends of the arena is godly, it was always 100% effective for me, thanks to it I never died to Leviathan again 😂
Thank you for this, finally managed to nail this mission. Changed some things around since I couldn't kill Bahamut within time and he always managed to summon Ifrit. Put some HP plus to everyone, Cloud also had elemental+fire and steadfast block, which helped since I had to solo Bahamut while Ifrit was buzzing around. :D

I’ve been trying this fight for a while following Shinyu’s guide. I couldn’t for the life of me get passed leviathan! Took a little bit of practice to get him to look back and forth without attacking. Once I got that down I was able to kill him consistently. Fourth try on bahamut and I got to pride and joy. That fight went just like in this video, ran out of mp 2 characters dead but pulled it off first run!

I can tell that you are a bit disappointed that you didn’t accomplish a “clean” run, but I have to say, that was clearly impressive.
Shock and awe is always very fun and quite enthralling to execute but I must say that close battles are more gratifying and memorable. I can never forget my finish with Type O Behemoth...
Both Tifa and Barrett are down, Cloud had next to nothing HP, All MPs gone... Beast lunges and immediately eats a counterstance, limit gauge blinks ON and I finish the monster with an Ascension. I think it must’ve been a miracle that I stayed alive after the roof collapsed overhead...True story.
I don't remember my exact setup, but I used the "Reprieve" weapons. This fight got me liking Reprieve.
Okay, so while I still had trouble with Bahamut, I eventually realized that you shouldn't do too much damage to him on your first pressure. By the time he gets down to half (halfway through the 'm' of Bahamut), he then summons Ifrit.
Not gonna lie. This took me about 2 days to beat. But it wasn’t the pride and joy that was hard. It was Bahamut and Ifrit that made it very hard. Not until u use elemental 3 star and fire in your armor to take in health for both characters. 3rd characterized just have to watch out and make sure u are healing that character and equip a revival earring. It really did help a lot that way for me.
Just like yours and Shinyru guide, the part NEVER get anywhere near enough ATB to beat Bahamut. The window of opportunity is very small, which in return makes this guide ultimately useless for most players.
Shinryu guide is literally good you probably don’t understand how skill master works or your just slow or something

This is so much harder than the monsters of legend. I just can't beat it even if I followed the strategy here. Either my ATB is coming up too slow or the boss wake up early. I can't get pass bahama.

Thanks so much! I couldn't get the timing down with shinryus guide, but cheesing leviathan helped a ton, bahamut took some time and effort to get the timing, I still didn't perfect the timing, had to kill Ifrit as well, but I made it passed, lost to pride and joy the first time, but when I made it back to him the second time, I managed to get him as I ran out of AP(since I had to waste a bunch killing Ifrit)

I just did it. The leviathan strategy is the best no damage in my second run bahamut went down fast. and the last battle only Aerith ran out of mp what I recommend is using tifa's thundaga early in the fight when he is down and you keep him down for the rest of the fight.

I feel like the elephant in the room with this strategy is that you're utterly defenseless if it doesn't go exactly the way it should in the videos. The time management gives almost no wiggle room, tried this about a half a dozen times now and I'm still getting stifled a lot of the time at shiva. Seems like a better strategy may take a little more time but your team won't be one shotted out of the fight if they do manage to squeeze a hit off on you.

Leviathan strategy NOT WORKING for me. Bahamut of course is absolute basrtd but can't even reach to him following this video.
I destroy the first two bosses for seconds, and when i come to Leviathan, with this strategy can even kill him. This challenge become very annoying and all these guides are BS. None of them working properly

i was able to do this blind and get my plat back in like the first week of release but just ramming dps into them without any strategy and was ass. But my ps4 crapped the bed and needed to get a new one and lost all my saves. But for whatever reason was struggling with the bahamut fight this time around, this helped quite a bit, thanks

@@TokenCast most Materia has some form of stat effect when equipped, refocus gives a bonus to 8 stats

@@TokenCast equipping each refocus gives +1 or +2 to all stats, it's a small boost that makes the difference rather than equipping a junk materia in that slot. A few others have similar effects, Barrier raises the defence stat for example.
If I cared about trophies I'd try this, but alas it simply isn't worth the trouble and I'm just not good enough for Hard Mode.

I don't have two Refocus Materia; thus, it won't work for me. It seems that some materia can only be obtained by doing some of the stupid mini-games like pull ups where one can obtain, for instance, a second Magic Up materia. So I don't have either two Magic Ups or two Refocus. Anyhow, I can't use this video to beat these bosses, but thank you anyway.

@@Drake039 yep, when i've reached bahamut i can't really get through hin for i lacked in MP.. but sometimes i've got enough MPs to go toe to toe with him but he never enters the pressured state (where he'll go kneeling down) then he'll summon ifirt just when i almost killed him..

Thanks for this great video. I got the Ultimate Weapon trophy on my third attempt following this video. I actually died at Leviathan the first time, then got to the Pride and Joy on the second but lost concentration close to the end. On my third attempt I somehow messed up when pressuring Bahamut and he summoned Ifrit but amazingly I managed to still win by having Cloud and Tifa chain "aga" spells on Bahamut and Aerith focused Ice magic on Ifrit. I then got to Pride and Joy again down to minimal health but then two party members got silenced and then killed, Aerith managed to finish the job using her remaining MP and sorcerers storm. A rough run with quite a bit of luck but it's been a while since I have played these types of games so was happy with the result. Great guide, clearly explained and super helpful!

This fight is bullshit. I've played till chapter 17 on hard with setups my guts told me and the game was fine. Now a single battle suddenly requires a coreography and specific maxed out materias. This is a trial and error chore, not a fun fight.
I'm having all the same trouble, but to be fair it's optional and the only real post-game challenge so it's supposed to be like that. It's just annoying that it requires grinding materia levels and stacking materia and equipment that you need to collect multiple of. 3 Fury Rings is an absolute requirement. I've got almost all the materia used here but only one Fury Ring because I didn't go back to the respawning chest for more, and I just don't do enough damage during pressure/stagger phases. Beating the game on hard was satisfying but I'm considering leaving it with one trophy (and the platinum) unclaimed because it's so bullshit.
Then obviously there's people somehow speedrunning it with just Cloud and taking no damage, using toad rings to keep the others out of the fight. :/
Same. Even these made look easy guide isn't working for me. I've tried to reach out the FF7R ps community for help via share play and nobody has answer. At this point I'm just frustrated to the point where I feel like uninstalling the game.
And yes I also get triggered seeing people solo this with cloud and Aerith while I'm struggling to get past leviathan with a nuke in Aerith and a wrecking ball tifa
@@AMaidenlessRunt I managed to beat Baham ut/Ifrit by playing quite defensively with Cloud and using Counterstance a lot while pelting him with Aerith's magic from afar and getting him in the back with Tifa after Cloud has countered. As soon as Ifrit came out, I summoned Shiva and did nothing but Shiva abilities on him (Bahamut tended not to do very much while I wasn't focused on him) and then I had Cross Slash and Somersault ready to go with Firagas to finish Bahamut off. It wasn't easy but that's how I eventually took it. P&J went down easy first try.

I DID IT ! I just had to put fire immunity on cloud for ifrit. Shiva and chocobo are very easy. Leviathan was a pain but I kept getting better at it. And the last boss got destroyed even after getting both my casters on silence
This is why I think replacing one the luck up and refocus with revival materia is a good idea. These fights sometimes don't go the way we plan and we have to make up some how to get back in the fight.
Shiva and fat chocobo are somewhat easy to me leviathan is tough to deal with sometimes but I've haven't been able to beat Bahamut. Because I either don't pressure him fast enough or he ends up summoning ifrit.

Wow this was insane, but the leviathan method was a lifesaver. Final fight with the prototype I ran out of MP also and lost cloud, but kept my cool , distanced tifa and aerith (aeris) to opposite sides of the arena to keep him guessing then kept going behind him with tifa and spamming attacks and abilities whilst running off when he turned around

A few details...i see a lot of bashing on square in yt vids,little tip for a milisec advantage,when building atb for Tifa,use triangle once,i found it a life saver...

And i see pryde didnt rotate for his first move,for me it did,actualy lost Tifa once because when i ran around him i hit his leg and laser got me...do you think he didnt rotate and fallow you because you went wide and slower,nit going direct on him?

Great, great guide. Thank you! Your Leviathan method is way, waaay more reliable than the OG guide; I’m just not as skilled to do it his way, lol. Only thing I would say is, for anyone struggling with Bahamut, don’t be afraid to use Tifa to toss a couple emergency Thundagas after that initial pressure phase. He ended up summoning Ifrit with a sliver of health left, but an Arcane Ward Blizzaga and a couple of Divekicks wipes him almost immediately.

FYI, despite the messages on the screen, the MP recovery between rounds is NOT 50% but rather just 30%. Notice, for example, that Tifa's maximum MP in your video is 70, and in between rounds she recovers only 21 MP (which is 30% of 70) and not 35 MP (which would be 50% of 70.) Likewise, Aerith recovers 55 MP (30% of 184) and Cloud recovers 46 MP (30% of 152.) I am told that this was a glitch in the programming, but regardless of the cause, each character only recovers 30% of his/her maximum MP between rounds. Thus, winning this challenge is even more difficult than it originally seems, and as you suggest, it is all the more important to get the most out of each MP spent.

Great guide and super easy to follow. I'm making it to Bahamut constantly but then he summons ifrit and wipes me. I'm also running low on MP when he's got 15% or so of health left, so I might have to grind my MP materia (they are lvl 3).

Had to do some changes on Tifa so at least she wouldn't die on Ifrit. Beat Bahamut and then Blizzaga on Ifrit to reach the final.

Fuck this fucking boss fight. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered anything so infuriatingly inconsistent and unfair. I’ve been trying 4 fucking days straight now trying this, I’ve watched this video at least 30 times, followed it second by second, command by command and the build im using is 100% identical to this and i STILL can’t beat bahamut. Out of the 9,736,835 attempts I’ve made, No 2 times have been the same. FUCK THIS.

This is a great strategy however, when Bahamut recovers from the first stagger he summons Ifrit, Even when I’m hitting him with multiple magic attacks. Not fair Bahamut!!! I suppose I’ll try again but this is an annoying five round match with Bahamut being the worst so far!
Idk if you finished this, but That means you are doing too much damage from his first pressured state. He summons ifrit at 50% hp (dont let his ho go past the m in his name)
@@Dr.FunkMd-RS No I didn’t finish it, I got too frustrated but I didn’t know about that tip that if his power level goes below the ‘M’, he will summon Ifrit, even after his first pressured state, I keep trying to spam Bahumut with mostly Firiga, he still keeps bypassing the spells to summon. One time, I actually beat Bahumut, but got defeated by Ifrit, it’s ridiculous 😤
