Primal can you make a review kinda of video, where you talk about things you love, hate, was surprised etc about ff7 remake, just go all in on everything.
there a way to get more magnify materia?
@@geijienduro7610 nope otherwise u break this game balance
Primalliquid f this. These Materia you’re using are to boring. I gotta have First Strike, Deadly Dodge Enemy Skill & Chakra. But Pray might be better to use than Healing. So I’ll give that a go. Barrier is a good call too.
Giving every character Revival Materia is a good idea but a costly Materia Slot. Hp Absorbtion with DD is a good call too.
Using Magnify with Fire 🔥 & Magic Up Maxed Out makes Magnify have no penalty at all!
You forgot to mention that even using the bench doesn't restore MP. Also since you mentioned using hp absorption with deadly dodge, I would rather use it with MP absorption to restore MP as MP is a more precious resource than HP.
Some misinformation in this vid. You don't restart the entire chapter on death. Also worth mentioning that benches don't restore MP. Two other awesome materia are first strike and elemental combined with element enemies are weak too.
Bench restore mp.
raywat grajangduang not in hard mode
I would argue that First Strike is the most important materia for general use in hard mode, because being able to quickly wipe out or at least stunlock enemies minimizes the need for HP management between regular encounters which saves FAR more MP than you might realize. For boss battles it’s largely useless, but there are many other important ATB boosting materia better suited for bosses. Honestly there is no one build that will carry you all the way through hard mode, it really makes you use most of them.
@@FoopThePoofer Then how do you restore MP?
@@stallschula5431 But the whole process of saving and restarting just to respawn boxes to smash and get more MP back is the grind I was talking about. It takes at least several seconds to do the whole process and likely each time I would need to would need to do so several times. Why not just allow benches to restore MP and remove the save/load grind?
I wish there was a second Magnify materia...
KrazyBean14 same !
That's why I can't wait for the PC version.
can't you potentially get a 2nd one with a chapter select after you beat game? that could help for hard mode. or am i wrong you can get duplicate materia
@@shawnvalentine7765 nooo i tried it already, blue materia dont respawn on restarting a chapter
Then you'd be OP as fuck son...1 character using Barrier + Magnify while the other using using Time + Magnify + Prayer? that'd make hard mode borderline easy.
I thought once I maxed characters and Materia, hard would be a cakewalk. Turns out that’s just a prerequisite to start play Hard.
I just maxed characters and quite a bit of materia. since hard mode gives 3 times the AP would be a good idea to farm AP in certain areas to max the ones that you haven't yet
Pray + 2HP up + 1or2MP up + heal with magnify on healer + revive + (element coupled with either fire/ice/light/wind (put this on armor depending on fights)) + first strike will get you through most of the fights without much problem if you know what you are doing. Binding + warding is very nice but not all the time. The ideal set up is to preserve MP as much as you can till the end boss fights otherwise you might have to start all over.
@@gryu325 I wouldn't go for double HP UP to be honest to free up materia slots. So far i'm running only 1 HP UP and 1 MP UP on hard and having no issues. Even beating superboss with it.
@@DDomero You get double XP and triple AP on all difficulty modes once you beat the game, not just on hard mode.
@@DDomero you get exp/AP bonus even in easy mode when you unlock, there isnt a penalty for farming in easy mode either. Its the best way to farm. Farm beginning of easy Chapter 16 before you go into shinra building over and over
TOP 5 MATERIA (HARD MODE)
1. Barrier Materia
2. Revive Materia
3. Prayer Materia
4. HP Absortion Materia
5. Magnify Materia
Most underrated materia has to be first strike, I can clear entire packs of enemeys before they have time to do anyhing. escpecialy if you can stun em with your first attack.
depends on the fight, for regular trash first strike is good yes, for bosses however, especially later bosses. there are simply times where you dont have the room for it
I think for me triple slash seemed to do the trick
@@testamentx23 triple slash isnt materia
@@woogi8888 I'm talking about dealing with huge groups in general
HP up is also underrated AF, you can double your HP making your team a lot more survivable
Primal if you die and choose retry battle it’ll put you right back before the battle and not the whole chapter retry from checkpoint is terrible and can put you hours back from where you were
You can’t save anywhere?
Talal you can
Or you just save everywhere
If you have any past familiarity with rpgs then you know saving is your love of your life. Save often. At least with this game you can save and retry areas to get better results
Having to rely on manual save is only hard mode if you've never played an RPG from the 90s.
Steadfast Block and Prayer have been my favorites. That and linking Elemental to reduce damage and Warding to prevent status. Hard Mode is still a tough one even with all the help. Might be nice to do a salty Easy Mode run through after this Hard clear.
Lol, that might make the game super boring. I'm currently replaying chapters on normal with characters at 50, and I gotta say that I miss the challenge. Will probably opt for hard mode soon.
Just finished Hard mode and I dig it. Love the challenge. Although going for chests will eventually become obsolete since you'll just be stock piling all the items that you can't use
Hard mode materia:
First Strike
Revival
Heal
Elemental
Magnify
Barrier
MP Up
Magic Up
Prayer
And PV up
First Strike is good just for random battles. For bosses its kinda waste of slot. You can use it for Barrier caster on start, but thats it.
@@mariuszrynkiewicz6698 Not in my experience. For me the initial boost in ATB changed the whole flow of the battle
@@mariuszrynkiewicz6698 I'm doing a blind hard mode run as we speak. There hasnt been a single fight in the whole game I haven't started with both equipped and figuring out what two opening moves are the best. Abzu 2? Magnify haste and counterstrike the slam attack thats hitting in not enough time to avoid. Behemoth? Stop, magnify haste and bolt like crazy with tifa so you can start pummeling the horns before stop wears off.
Bahamut in the top secrets fight? Thundaga with cloud, arcane ward are the opening moves to a permanent non ifrit summoning stunklock, as long as you keep casting thundaga when its not stunned. Rufus + dog? Triple slash targeting the dog, punisher, rinse repeat. Dog is staggered, rufus is too far away, onto 1 vs 1 phase 2
Thanks for the info.
Glad I have ten of all your recommended Materia maxed out!
a good way i sustain MP in HARD MODE is i link MP absorption with a element then i link another two-link with Magnify with the SAME element. i usually determine which element to use base on the chapter or the next upcoming fight and what MOST of the monsters are basically weak against in the chapter. the effects WILL stack, so if you magnify the spell, the bounce will refund for each hit for ONE spell cast(you basically lose like 1-2 mp or non depending on materia level. which crates can restore). Prayer, benches and side quest completion heals health so dont use Cure recklessly unless you need to. be sure to just switch out the materias when getting to a boss fight. if you're in hard mode, you most likely know which boss is coming up next so plan accordingly.
Your guides are amazing. Thank you. I already feel better equipped for hard mode.
Right at the start, if you die in battle, just choose retry from start of battle, puts you right before the fight so you can retry it or change things around. Also, you can heal anywhere you want in hard mode using cure spells, not just using the bench. You cant heal mp using the bench/beds, only way to recover mp is breaking boxes and finishing the chapter.
I thought the same thing, so much wrong with the start of the video it must be to induce comments!
You're a great tutorial maker honestly
"Pray heals over FREE FOUSAND damage!" Lol
Your the best. These help my normal play through as well. And now I’m more mentally prepared for what’s to come after!
i have another set of materia for normal/easy mode as they are slightly different, if you're still on your first playthrough i suggest taking a look at my playlist for the video "top 5 best materia" as that one is dedicated to normal/easy
Primalliquid thanks Prima! Yea slow playing lol I’ve been working a lot (very grateful to be honest) and just happy this game is real 🥰
Primalliquid will you do a video about the Götterdämmerung? THAT was an actual godsend and carried me through hard mode.
You forgot the Enemy Skill Materia. Slap the two magic up materia on cloud. Link that enemy skill with an hp drain, and link an Elemental Materia on his weapon to take advantage of elemental weaknesses, and you have yourself a setup that replaces chakra and prayer. I was amazed at how badass this materia is once you commit to it. It effortlessly trivialized so many fights in a way that other materia couldn't match. I -just- got bad breath and completed it too, so I'm excited to see how that works out...
You don't get MP from rest stops in Hard mode
Are you freaking serious? How the heck is someone even going survive an upcoming boss?
esnips123123 Save your MP for the boss. I’m already on chapter 13 on hard mode. Also know what battles you’re about to get into
Pray + 2HP up + 1or2MP up + heal with magnify on healer + revive + (element coupled with either fire/ice/light/wind (put this on armor depending on fights)) + first strike will get you through most of the fights without much problem if you know what you are doing. Binding + warding is very nice but not all the time. The ideal set up is to preserve MP as much as you can till the end boss fights otherwise you might have to start all over.
I've seen people recommend materia for hard mode. I say just change materia around and abuse the crap out of your Return to last battle option if things aren't going your way. :)
If you forgot to put materia on or didn't change this is the best option imo to get through it.
🤦🏼♂️
One crazy combo I saw in another video is Magnify-Firaga and MP Absorption-Firaga. If you hit a big enough group of enemies, you end up basically casting the spell for free because get all your MP back.
I really enjoy to open Time with Magnify on party. Very useful in some fights!
Now I don't feel bad for using those elixirs and turbo ethers.
Been hoarding them all game....gonna start using them now
@@haisex3 Uh, yeah, exactly why I said I don't feel bad.
You can use them in VR missions still though if you haven't completed them
@@ryu-ken I was hoarding them also lol glad to know I won't need them in Hard mode
I linked revive with AP plus as soon as I could on first play through. Saved some hassle later on.
oh my god I thought just having AP Plus was going to give everyone it, I didn't I had to link it.
@@Stu004 Yeah, only 1 materia at a time unfortunately. So choose wisely!
Gareth Williams yeah revival will be the best choice
Idk if my hard mode is broken or not cause when I died, I just went back to before the battle.
Is their hp attack and other stats increased as well in hard mode? I thought they were already tough enough as it is in normal.. except guards. Most stressful boss for me was likely the arsenal.. can't imagine him on hard
Wow HP Absorb + Deadly Dodge. Can't believe I never thought of that, thanks!
Would like to chuck in an honorable mention of MP up materia too, as it not only increase the max of your MP, but as a nice side-effect also get you more MP out of the Mako Shards that you get during chapters, as these give you approximately 10% of your max MP.
Steadfast block is also a nice one, especially for someone like me that's a real sucker for Clouds Counterstance. (Both the skill and the 'block' of his secondary stance.)
im surprise no one really know how useful steadfast block is on your controlled character and on your ai teammates the ai is actually really good at blocking attacks and with steadfast block they can quickly build up the atb gauge and take less damage
Carbuncle is a good buff against your entire party being wiped. When I went up against the final challenge in the simulator, I used him to buff against mega flare. Combined with weapons that have the reprieve availability in any battle and you will be able to murder bosses on Hard. Also, USE YOUR ASSESS MATERIA!
Subbed! Do you have any videos on Hard Mode builds?
The actual best materia was mp up. I needed every last little bit in order to save my bacon. Got my platinum Saturday it was very satisfying. Cheers!
i recommend having at lest 1 mp up on everyone as well as at lest 1 hp up on everyone max leveled on hard mode
you can get 50 percent i believe back per hp mp up materia.
I like HP absorb + the lifesteal aura Enemy skill. Especially with high Magic stat.
Primal dude! You are a machine!
also for your magic user any mastered element + MP absorb is very good for hard mode and for bosses I use healing + magnify or barrier + magnify
Good thing I got half of these materia maxed out before I finished it. I knew I was going to need these for hard mode
This helps in the long run. I’m taking my time and doing quests in chapter 3.
Totally
@Mahadeo S. I get I baited myself on that but ease up on the trolling please. Some people really enjoy the game. I also have a friend from the U.K. from the MMO FFXI that goes by the name Totallyfuber. It was in my head.
@@askask1157 im just teasing. I usually have the same habit with the word "literally".
Nope. Im taking it slow myself. I heard there was an interesting twist on the ending from my friends who have beaten it. I cant wait to see it! I'm only now on Chapter 14. I may beat it out by this weekend.
There is an interesting twist. I saw it already. Not sure what the requirements are to get it.
Regarding saving MPs for bosses, I thought that would be recommended since benches don't recover MPs on hard mode?
It is i highly recommend saving as much mp as possible i also use magic up on aerith or tifa depending whos in the party for healing since cure heals nearly all my hp at around 6500hp
If are out of mp find 📦 save the game and then load repeat until max mp again.
@@monchokamikaze8560 just to be clear, what does that symbol mean? that for a bench or can you just save anywhere and reload till ur max mp? Im still on chapter 14 in my 1st play through collecitn everything getting ready for the real grind
john oley just save front of the boxes and then load keep doing until max mp
This method is for hard mode
I've been able to restart from last battle when I loose on hard mode... is that normal?
Yes, that was a mistake this person made.
However, much of the other information in the video is quite useful to know.
You can get MP back from mako shards in crates and using Aerith for attack spells, then draining back from easy mobs.
My tips for hard mode:
Put a healing and restore materia in every character.
First strike matéria on cloud to quickly clear areas with triple slash.
Elemental on cloud and maybe barret with the element that is effective on the enemies and the boss of the chapter you're playing.
2 hp up matéria on everyone except barret, one is enough for him and a champion belt to get 9999 hp.
1 MP up to everyone, just in case.
Steadfast block (sorry if I miss pronounced it) on some characters(like cloud and barret)
If you want more tips just reply, I didn't put everything I know but this ones should help a lot already!!
Good game!!
i used maginify with cure materia because getting regen on all characters at once helped way more then doing damage to enemies, since staggering 1 enemy at a time is better then staggering them all at once
And it seems like the negative effects of the magnify materia don't apply the same way to regen
In later phases you'll put that materia with haste materia. Haste all party = quick AF ATB
@@pascalmeyer8768 kinda agree but theres already enough atb buffs in the game including on weapons and just noramlly strikking, one hit with out haste i never had a depleted atb,
Each chapter will usually have only certain enemies in it. It's advisable to have pre-existing knowledge of what you will be facing. Knowing that; always use the magnify materia with the element the enemies are weak to. This is a bit of a generalization, but the typical "rock-paper-scissors" for enemy weaknesses is as follows:
Humans = Fire
Ground based monsters = Ice
Flying enemies = Wind
Machines = Lightning
You can't regain MP from benches. I suggest maxing out MP up and equipping at least one per character. Two would be best. For that reason, you're going to want as many materia slots as possible for every character.
Can't wait to see you do a 100% Playthrough of hardmode, or something similar. That's gonna be a nice run
hard mode will be part of my normal lets play series, so once i finish uploading my first run it will then go into hard mode
i found mp/hp/magic up to be very worthwhile in hard mode, especially for curing as mp wasnt so much of an issue, also you can get mp back (in small amounts) with crates.
Where do I find the video to farm AP?
Elemental weapon isn't good enough for a top tier? I mean it's free weakness exploit on bosses without the need of casting spells. It's a good switch (magnify to elementalist) when you reach the boss room and need the mp
its better used in the armor slot against some boss to absorb elemental damage, on weapon it doesnt make much difference unless they can only be stagger by that element
@@takaharamaragara1392 never even thought to use it on armor ahaha sounds good
It does damage and resist/immunity, regardless of what slot it is in.
@@Mystravian no it doesn't it only does one or the other depending if its on your weapon or armor
Barrier with magnify is decent but better with healing imo, I found revival earrings were lifesavers(literally) in boss battles if you don't mind sacrificing your accessory slot.
Counterstance/predator counter with with Cloud and the parry materia with Tifa make many of the bosses much easier to handle. Using revival earrings for the bosses with unavoidable ultimate attacks also takes off a lot of pressure.
I've played through the entire game in Hard mode, and I did not have a single issue with MP my entire run, and I used cure over prayer/chakra most of the time. Just favor weapon abilities over spells for damage, and you really won't need anything, except maybe a single MP up per character.
Using magnify with cure (or barrier for super bosses) is a lot better than damage. Most enemies that will die to fire will also die to triple slash.
Another MP saving tip is to use the weapons with the "bloodsucker" ability that will heal you on each kill. The healing from that will get you by most trash mobs, and you can switch to +50% mp regen weapons if you are in a pinch.
could you bring 1 video where is this refocus material
Re: not saving MP for boss battles. Benches do NOT restore MP in hard mode, do be careful to conserve your MP. I recently had my hard mode playthrough of chapter 9 totally ruined because i got stuck on Hell House which requires lots of spell-casting to beat, and I couldn't go fight in random battles to regenerate MP as at that point you are locked in the coliseum with only a bench.
Do be aware to conserve your MP for bosses in hard mode despite what the guide says. Otherwise thanks very much for this guide! I learned a lot about some of the materia that I didn't know and it will definitely help the rest of my playthrough :D
In hard mode dose the enemy get more HP n Deal more damage ?
Just grinding to max a bunch of materia and prepping for hard mode
Magnify + Manawall or Resist is sweet too.
Another thing you can use Magnify for is link it to Barrier and you'll get Manawall on all three characters. Or, on Normal, you can pair it with Cure and get Regen on the whole party. Also, elemental at level 2 or 3 is great on armor when you know what element damage your opponent will use because level 2 makes you immune to it, while level 3 lets you absorb it. I used it paired with lightning materia for the solo Shinra hard mode VR battles to deal with the Moth enemies, since their strongest attacks, which can potentially one-shot even at level 50, will instead either do nothing, or heal you.
Want to see you do a challenge run with just ability materia think it be fun and unique
Thanks for not saying any spoilers.
Haven't finished the game yrt
Has anyone tried synergy and does it link if your partner has the spell linked? Like if I link it to fire and my partner has it fire linked to magnify or MP or HP do those activate as well?
Nice most of it ! agree, but for me i would include element materia for armor immune or absorb. you'll be much neede it later in hard mode.
I somehow missed the Revival Materia. Is there any other way to obtain it?
Edit: It’s at a shop in Sector 5 Slums for 3000 Gil.
you can buy it from vendors, they just cost a bit compared to finding them.
DSR-115
Thank you. I thought it’d be impossible if I missed it.
Im not sure if they get added to the vendor if you dont find them.
as soon as you completed the game, you can find it at the end of chapter 4 (the one with the bike-minigame) on the way to the parachutes
So...can I take three blizzard materia (for example, could be any offensive materia); attach each of them to HP Absorption, Magnify, and MP Absorption? One Blizzard spell would have the benefit of all three blue materia?
I mean... I don't see why not. Have you tried this yet? I can't believe I never thought of it.
@@jackmanleblanc2518 It does work, but MP Absorption doesn't really help in any shape or form. If you inflict 9,999 damage, most you'll get back is 10mp. In hard mode, you will rarely be dealing anywhere near that damage. Expect 2mp back off of a -aga spell more often than not.
Can you make a build video for the 7 star boss rush in the shinra battle simulator ?
what do you think of a combo of steelskin+lifesaver + chakra on barret?
Aid him with Regen for constant healing and your good to go
Plus big bertha weapon HP upgrades, vitality/ spirit accessories, and hp up materia. Make him a very good tank
@@solisimperium1203 yep, also, you can stack multiples of hp up or mp up. so you can have barret reach 9999 pretty easily.
My go-to party is Cloud Aerith and Barret, Barret keeps lifesaver and steelskin up 24/7. Everyone has HP up and MP up, keep regen on barret and manawall on cloud and aerith and you will never die.
Barrett is a godsend. He makes a damn good tank.
Barret is a support tank
Can you swap out party members?
What materia do you have on barrett usually?
@@haisex3
Main materia: Chakra, Prayer, Barrier, Magnify, Time
Others: HP, MP or ATB boost
Skills that is useful is life saver
Use the healing caricanet to boost all his healing
Weapon: Big Bertha due to the desperate recovery which boost healing by 50% when his HP is below some percentage of healtj and the other one is trade off, u get MP when u get hit
He is actually A TANK SUPPORT HEALER
WHy?
His ATB is fast, when start the battle if u have ATB boost on cast immediately haste, plus his healing does not cost MP. His charge skills can further increase the ATB gauge.
For me he is the best for NO MP healer.
Can you get multiple magnify materia or only one?
only 1 normally but there seems to be a glitch that lets you get multiple
@@Primalliquid92 what's the glitch bro gotta get it before it gets patched ;)
How did you get six materia slots on Barrett’s Gatling gun? I only have five slots and I bought his extra materia slots. He’s level 41 and weapon level 5 if that helps.
get weapon level 6 and it unlocks another materia slot
Primalliquid ahh I see. Thank you.
the magnify materia can you combine whit cure, haste or barrier? i think yes
Yes. Magnify does seem to work on EVERY magic-based materia. Having it linked to Healing materia works wonders for someone with high magic. Regen, Stop, and Barrier are my go-tos for the Magnify materia.
I guess im going to have my soul drain when I use all my chakra to pray to get me through hard mode
So if I put this beautiful looking healing carcanet on barret 😳
I only needed the prayer materia for the eligos dude because of his reflect. Make shards are abundant enough to let you use the mythril sword, magnify and curaga for full health. MP up materia are really damn good.
I usually link two green materia of the same element (two ice for example), one to Magnify and one to MP absorption, always to Aerith or Barret when she isn't available. A single cast obliterates everything and gives back the MP used for the spell, if there was a group of enemies.
I’m guessing by “link the video in the description” he means the playlist? I’m not seeing the specific farming video in the description.
Max elemental equipped to armor with whatever element the enemy is attacking with make all the difference. 1 hit kill attacks become instant healing. Equip it with lighting for the Reno and Rude fights
Just replayed the story again, on normal. To level up my materia. I ended up finding a third prayer materia in the Don's stash. So Incase anyone was wondering. You could get a third prayer
You were right on the health but you don’t have to restart the chapter from the beginning if you die
U could put the revival earrings or whatever they are called on the person who has your revive materia just Incase they die.
Can you make an video that shows elemental effects in weapons/armors and how many effects can stack up.I want to see a triple elemental sword.
the hp absorb w deadly dodge both mastered does NOT heal for anywhere near 2000 per hit and im using hardedge 130+ attack. its more like 300 per enemy
How do I get more Magic up materia? This guy had like tons lol i want that 9999 cap !
I shouldve been more specific. I have the 2 you find lol apparently you can farm them somehow
Both. Mp up and magic up cap at 100% so if u have 2 of them at max level on 1 character then thats u at the limit
I'm sorry but there is some inaccurate info in this video.... In hard mode you can restart from your last battle. You do not have to go back to the very beginning of the chapter. It counts the same. You can also heal outside of battle, but it costs mp...
Personallt like provoke and elemental materia since most enemies are weak to fire n lightning
Can you Magnify Arise?
Did all i can do in normal so i started hard i had a few pieces of materia to level but didnt and man these bosses are no joke lol
If you're going for pride and joy, I'd recommend equipping magnify with manawall at the start of every round. Unless you're an absolute pro at stunlocking, it helps bigtime
Tifa with atb assist first strike just allows you to stun lock anything
Pray + 2HP up + 1or2MP up + heal with magnify on healer + revive + (element coupled with either fire/ice/light/wind (put this on armor depending on fights)) + first strike will get you through most of the fights without much problem if you know what you are doing. Binding + warding is very nice but not all the time. The ideal set up is to preserve MP as much as you can till the end boss fights otherwise you might have to start all over.
I recently beat hard mode and i found only 2 of the materia u list agreeable magnify for healing and arise, have hp and mp materia stacked. First strike is awesome for getting thru the level but on bosses i take it off cuz it dont matter in a long fight and repllace it with steadfast sometimes u cant get a hit going to build atb so blocking helps build it. The rest of my materia i use it basically watever i need to level up. The weapons is most important, use weapons that give 10 - 50% mp bulidup during combat is key to hardmode
Huh? There's manual save though.
That and, like others have said, the retry battle option from the Game Over screen.
Magnify and elemental Materia it’s like where do I put it hp ups mp ups prayer mp absorb hp absorb magic up . Basically from what I’m gathering is you have to actually have a dedicated black mage and a white mage and random reds
That’s EXACTLY how I set mine up
Aerith - White Mage
Barret - Red Mage
Cloud - Red Mage
Refocus is bloody good. Gives you 3 ATB bars. Makes first two bars very short to fill.
The next section of this game will have to be crazy. How they gonna do the world map? How they gonna do ultima weapon? Gold saucer..ect
Is Elemental Affinity in a weapon Slot any good?
It gives your weapon the elemental damage that the Elemental materia is linked to
@@Kagetora- thanks^^ my question was more: how useful is that in hard Mode?
Sry probably wasnt clear enough
@@BlackStrey It's quite useful in boss fights that have weaknesses. For example, having Elemental + Lightning on Cloud and Barret really help during the Scorpion Sentinel boss. But you will need to switch the fire/wind/lightning/wind materia sometimes depending on who you're fighting
@@BlackStrey you're better off slotting it in armor for resistance instead of weapons for attack
First Strike and Chakra being slept on.
Must have materia: revival, hp up, chakra, steadfast block.
Best materia: mp-absorption, elemental, atb stagger
I’m at chap 17 hard and don’t use magnify unless I have Aerith in the team because arcane ward and magnify is bananas. But my current play style is first strike on everyone. Starshowerx2, triple slashx2 and maximum fury right at the start. Luck plus x2 on cloud and then go ham, keep triple slashing, keep starshowering and keep Barrett chilling doing prayer and thrown in spells where needed for stagger
What does luck do though if u dont mind me asking?
Mohamad Hafiy Malek increases crit chance
@@mohamadhafiymalek3327 Crit chance and steal chance.
Dont you only get 2 first strike materia?
Andrew Shaffer yea good shout, I was getting all excited
Can you do a materia set up guide for a party please?
It really depends on what you are fighting. I've done 10 chapters on hard, and there isn't a single setup that works for everything.
Do you want him to play the game for you too?
Just always have healing on everyone. Have magnify linked with healing on someone. Have revive on everyone if you're playing hard mode. Have every spell for every weakness in your party. I usually give two elements to each person.
Thats really all of the stuff I would say is required.
The rest of your setup will be situational. You might need some extra elemental protection, or protection against status ailments, or big HP/MP boosts. It really depends on what you are doing.
Yeah HP absorb is nice with Deadly Dodge against mobs, not so much bosses. Better to use Chakra,Pray and Restore there. Having a few ATB charging materias and/or haste is quite important as well.
Elemental is pretty essential as well, especially when mastered you completely absorb lets say Lightning which is pretty huge.
I beat this on hard and barely used barrier. Heal, Revival, and Hp Up are good to have on everyone with Magnify on Heal. If you use weapons with the Tradeoff ability mp is less of an issue and it's more effective with better atb conservation than Prayer.
I hope to see the classic pose when casting magic of Cloud :) maybe for high level magics like quake, tornado etc etc
But i'm not here to complaint because Square put a lot of effort and take care of every aspect of this new masterpiece!
it's not in there unfortunately, he kinda just holds the sword down and charges a spell with his free hand, it still looks just as cool though, maybe even cooler
until you reach the. contrive and unnecessary ending.
@@rpghero46 I actually quite liked the ending, but I get why people don't. I'm just keen to see more Cloud, even if it's a bit different
@@C4talysT_ the ending is fine but the convoluted meta commentary was not necessary this was already a diferent interpretation of ff7. namura just likes to complicate things to give them a shallow sense of depth.
gaystatue fuck Nomura, keep the fate and destiny bs out of this
You can have three prayer Materia. You can get the third by doing chapter 14 and getting it in Don Coreneos stash
Chakra is also another way of healing and getting rid of Poison without using Mana.
Also Magnify + Stop can make entire groups of enemies frozen in their tracks and open for a ton of damage for a while (with very few exceptions)
ohhhh tell me more
How the heck do you get 6 slots on the iron blade???
