very clear and concise directions, you have excellent verbal communications skills, I say that because the tone of your voice and they way you pronounce every word is very clear. Some video makers their audio is too quiet and they try to make up for it by speaking faster- as a viewer I have to rewind and watch the video over and over, or worse yet, pausing frame by frame just to go over what they are saying. great video!

Best way to level up materia i found is to get the limit accessory then equip it on barret since his 2nd limit is AoE, then run the garage sequence in Shinras building over and over just until you reach the glass doors. Second option would be to start chapter 17 and fight the monsters just b4 you get to Chad npc those enemies will always respawn just defeat them then wait till they resoawn
Interesting note i read just now. The double xp and triple AP unlock when u finish the game. So if you go on easy in chapter 14 after you have beaten the game... you should also get the bonus xp and ap, difficulty doesnt matter.
Fujikawa 1988 in hard mode it doubles the bonus when you beat the game
Ok I just realised I played through the whole game without knowing you can switch between spells like fire/firaga in the command menu. I thought they were automatically stronger. No wonder I struggled with magic and healing, I just always used the weakest spells. lol thanks for the video! helped me grind out some AP!

@@harshitrakhiani8833 It was really difficult. Especially towards the end & with bosses who were weak to magic. I was like "is it supposed to be that hard?" all the time :D ah well, it was a good preparation for hard mode I guess :D
@@MYuee ha ha.. True.. Now u can easily tackle hard mode... And fact is.. By using firaga at that time.. On opponents.. weak. To fire.. Would have been piece of cake for u.. But nevertheless u enjoyed the game.. That matters.. 👍🏻👍🏻

Wow interesting. This is exactly what I have been doing and in the same way too, even with the AP linked to Revival, same tactics and same group to fight! My record so far is 54 seconds for the fight duration on Normal. Have not gone to Hard as yet. Great minds think alike lol

During Chapter 3 & 4, I trained in the yard of slums 7 to increase Cloud and Tifa levels up to level 28. By doing This, I maxed fire, ice, ligthning and aero materias. After This, I equipped any new green materia while playing the story. By the time i reached Shinra Bldg, revival materia was the only one pending for report #18.

@@michaelgraber5750 yeah, it can be boring as Hell but if You are playing for the first time, the robo soldier and the bosses are easy as pancakes.
I noticed you played it in normal mode. you can play it on easy mode to make life much much easier. you still get all the same exp and AP.
you got to it first....but yes you get the same AP and XP on easy and it makes it way quicker

I've been kicking ass on normal first i use barret to use his overcharge just so I can cast regen on all party when you equipped magnify with healing materia

It's more effective to grind in the Shinra Building parking garage at the beginning of Ch 17. Once you clear the area just reload the chapter and rinse & repeat. The same strategy works with Magnify + Fire since everything there is weak to it, but with two Magic Up equipped you can take out almost all groups of enemies with a magnified Fira. Sometimes the Guard Dogs need a few extra whacks to go down but they will probably be staggered.
Yup just spam firaga + magnify. Easy grinding
There is a video on grinding for everything on hard mode in chapter 16. Fastest and easiest way I've seen it done.
It is far better. Fill up on what you're grinding, run the first section of Ch 16 then load up the chapter again. Rinse and repeat.
Good to know. I just got that area where we fight the house. I've been grinding that arena for over 12 hours now. It's a cake walk for me since I freaking love to grind. I am the type of guy who would almost max out levels before tackling 1st mission in most RPG xD
Been grinding in chapter 16. Just gotta use fire for that one. I use magnify with Fira for most everything, except the class C soldiers, I’ll use Firaga for them. Dogs are the only thing that isn’t cleared instantly. Have cloud with his mythril saber do the magic. Can equip elemental with fire on the other two party members and they clear mobs quickly. Once you go through the double doors, just go to chapter select and load it up again, it auto saves. Once you get going, it’s very quick runs and it seems to be a better option, imo. But great video nonetheless.

Chapter 14, ElemxIce smashing through the C Expressway n Chocobo free pass bk to the Entrance from EG Park was my 2nd grinding area. The 1st being Colliseum. Made life easier. Remembered Abzu was KOed under 5 minutes and never had the chance to splash sewage water.
I used the Battle Simulator and choose "easy" also works well. the game is on Normal though. Bet On Hard it is much better 🐈
What chapter can you do this? I complete my first playthrough long ago, but I would like to max up exactly my Revival materia. One question, the AP Up materia be used in Armor too and obtain the same effect you show in your video? Thank you. 🤔🤔
You can press TRIANGLE to see all materia slots in weapons!
Hojo lab 3 person vs ratbag easy mode nets you 300AP with AP Up, without it 100-ish. Completion time 1 minute 30 seconds all 5 rounds. That's what I did. Frist strike+lightning materia will do the trick on all enemies.

@@Demiurge66 Hi there, I'm sorry i must have forgotten the exact name, it's the 3 party vs monsters battle. I believe there's only 1 battle type that has 3 party in it on your 1st playthrough. the one with the mini abzu, ghost, the carrot monster thingy and the kind of dog beast and lastly the 2 type of shinra mech. Hope this helps, and sorry for the confusion 🙏🙂

I'm fighting the dragon thing and I have yet to complete that Chadley task .
Im using Tifa in these battles to do the dirty work (only switch to Barrett to shoot the ghost and the helitrooper) with atb based materias and i finish all five rounds in a minute. Everyone is level 50 now at chapter 14 and almost ALL of the owned materias are maxed out.
I'm not near the end, so im waiting for better gear to do the follow command materia combos.
I think i've found a better spot with the shinra's training machine, there is a fight that cost no money and make you face 2 machines, whatever difficulty you choose you will always earn the same amount of AP (30) in that fight so i put the easiest difficulty. Same method as you but with Thunder. The fight last around 10-15sec and rewards you with 30 AP each time which seems pretty fast and no brain strategy because you do always the same attacks because it's always the same fight.
Wait do you have to be on Hard Mode for the extra EXP gain or just use chapter select after you finish? If so can't you choose chapter select and choose easy mode and grind? Same exp/ap gain as Normal.
Once you beat the game the double and triple AP unlocks no matter the difficulty
Aaron Adkins Yea so technically it’s easier to grind on Easy Mode since the gain are the same but enemies dies a lot quicker.
@@zZiL341yRj736 ehhhh probably but by that point you're pretty much gonna be 1 or 2 shotting the eniemes anyway... but yea easy mode will probably make it a minute or 2 quicker
Chapter 16 , go to the battle simulator, select the last battle. During the third round THROW REVIVAL AT THE HELLWOLF. I was so powerfull that i had no chance to use revival. This helped me a lot. I will get the max tonight after work.

The start of chapter 16 is a really good spot too and you dont need any elements other than fire so you can fill those slots with hp and mp up. Plus you build up a good bit of gil and items just suck cause you cant use aerith

Aaron Adkins no worries lol but I don’t think you need her as cloud can one shot most and you can do the run on easy and get the same amount of ap and stuff
@@michaelblomeley9985 lol I honestly didnt think about switching it to easy. I got cloud setup as my main magic dealer of the party but barrets lack of mp is a pain that aerith would fix but having it on easy would rectify that nicely
Chapter 16 run is by far the best grinding run.
When I finish normal mode, can I run another normal before doing hard?
Yes,but you gotta do it via chapter select but you can just select chapter 1 and play through that way
Also when you do it through chapter select after completing the game you still get the double exp and triple ap. It doesn't have to be on hardmode for that to kick in idk if you get more exp or ap in hardmode due to it being harder but you will still get the 2x and 3x bonus when you complete the game regardless of what mode you select to play it in you can even start in hardmode and decide you're not ready you can switch back to normal

Is it any mode in Chapter Select that gives 3x AP or is it only in Hard Mode only that you get 3x AP?
Yup! That's correct. Normal mode gives the exp/ap boost as well.
Im already in Chapter 14, doing some odd jobs, how do you switch to hard mode? Do you mean the Normal? Thanks!
To get Hard mode you need to first finish the game, then you can select chapters to play and choose the difficulty there.

I find the beginning of chapter 16 is the faster way to level up, with the right fire materia equipped. But I liked your video.
I completely agree with you actually. I made this video only a couple days after FF7 remake came out, so it's pretty old info. Chapter 16 is the way to go!
I maxed out my materia in each chapter before moving on to the next chapter.. But that just me. And speaking of HP/MP Absord was a beast in original bc u can combine that with Master Summon. I wish they have what u called Master Magic, Master Command, Master Summon like the original. Once u master all the magic and they become one magic... Wishful thinking, right

yeah I only got 5000 on my 2nd playthrough, and was annoyed that Chadleys subquest didnt allow me get First Strike materia again. The game has unique materia like Elemental, Magnify, etc that can only be given once. The green materia will be given in its place the 2nd time around. :(
@@vanthadoun1 You can get a second Elemental materia, but sadly no extra Magnify. And the Elemental materia is a real pain to get all the way to level 3, but it is totally worth it. When you can heal from your enemies fire, lightning or ice magic, it makes hard mode super easy.
I used the run at start chapter 16. Run through the garage and at the bottom of the stairs select chapter 16 again. Rinse and repeat. Worked like a charm especially with the AP up materia. Close to 550 AP per run ( without is around 270)
Something like 5/6 min per run
And it doesn't matter what difficulty you are all the bonusses are the same. 2x EXP and 3x AP, so i was lvl 40 endgame i had like 5 runs on easy and i was maxed 50.
Maxing out all materia is going to take a while though

Chapter 16 parking lot is faster. I literally maxed out every piece of Materia in the game in about 8 hours of grinding. It's faster than the battle arena because you get to kill lots of easy enemies all at once, , but they still drop massive AP, then just restart when you get inside the Shinra building. You keep your AP, and you'll get about 275 AP per run. It takes about 5 mins per run, and that's without AP up materia. To make it really easy, play on Easy mode, give Cloud Fire+Magnify, MP Up, and Magic Up materias. Then spam fira on everyone. You'll also max out EXP and make about 200,000 Gil in no time. It's really making Hard mode less insane (still tough though).

At this point, I wasn't realizing how fast the AP was raising. I was kind of running out of materia to place into my slots that would be useful. Obviously you'll want to put in materia that you specifically want to level up and not maxed materia.
