I have a friend that is 86 years old, and purchased this vacuum. She could not understand the instructions that came with the vacuum, so she called Shark customer service 800 number and she said they were very rude to her. They kept telling her to check her app. App?? That is so foreign to her because she does not have a smartphone or a computer. She called me upset and I went over to help her. I'm guessing they wanted her to use the QR code, which again, she has no idea how that works. More importantly, Shark and other businesses need to keep in mind that some of our senior population aren't always up on technology. I really appreciate this video. Very easy to follow. I can show it to her, and it will help her to understand her new vacuum. Shark needs to train their customer service representatives to be more tolerant and understanding of our seniors. One day, they may be one.

Hi Sheila…thank you for watching the video. When I make these videos it is in an effort to give honest feedback on a product but to also show the viewer “how-to” use it. I try my best to figure it out so you all don’t have to. Appreciate you commenting and God bless.

Paying staff to do things is one of the largest costs of any business.
When the last of the market that requires help (the pre-internet generation) is gone, we will be in the wonderful new world of almost zero human contact with all of our purchases.
Remember the good times i guess 😢

@sheilamurray9515 My 80 year old sister purchased this vacuum cleaner for a 79 year old friend who lives in a different city. My boyfriend assembled it for them. My sister still texted me to tell me that she was having trouble. She has a Smartphone. She also has a QR Code app but has trouble using/understanding it. I sent her this video, she watched it, and was able to operate the vacuum. They even changed the attachments and used them! I completely understand how “Customer Service” is becoming a thing of the past though.

Just bought mine about a hour ago while still on sale at Costco, did a real quick run before charging it and so far picked up a lot of dirt in a very short amount of time, got a regular shark vac but got this for the convenience of not having to lug the heavy one around so much and dealing with the cord.

@@TheBuscemiFamily It does look big for a cordless stick vac. Sturdier build than my 5.5 Tineco. I'm petite w/ pain issues, so I might find that one wears me out a bit too much. Do you know the weight of that model? Oh, and w/ the bendable wand, w/ other models like that, they felt the wand was wobbly and had give to it when vacuuming carpets. I was thinking of another kenmore, bendy model like that.

No good…I would return it and get another one. Seems like something is wrong with it. Our has never entirely lost power. It always has enough power to do an entire house.

I looked up your video to watch you unbox the parts because I'm returning the one I just bought and couldn't figure out how it went back in. You helped me figure it out! So thanks! I'm returning this vacuum for a full refund because it spit back out what I vacuumed up. For example, I have two flat area rugs (no pile) and two kitties. Even though you couldn't visually see the fur on top of the rugs, the vacuum did pick it up. The issue was that it immediately put it right back on top of the rugs...left a streak of fur and then would not vacuum it back up. I tried every speed there is and it would still not keep the fur inside the vacuum. The battery only lasted 15 minutes even though I had fully charged it. Nope...not good. I would call that defective! I've tried several vacuums and sent them all back. I settled for one off Amazon that is horrible!! No suction. Same with the Dyson I tried. Not enough suction...returned it! I don't think there's a good vacuum out there.

why would anyone want to empty it with the wand on? Of course, they designed it that way for the wand to be removed first.

I disagree…it works beautifully. I had another brand and threw it out for this one. I’ve also had Dyson which was more expensive but Shark works equally as well. Just my humble opinion

@@TheBuscemiFamily Cmon, the thing burns through battery life & needs to be emptied every 3 minutes. The front roller doesn't even have suction to pick up the stuff it brushes. Compared to any standard vacuum of the last 75 years, it's a little flimsy toy.
