I have an 01 suburban and I love it. Very dependable and very comfy and smooth. I've owned 3 and I wouldnt trade them for the world. I'm currently moding my 01 and after seeing this video im thinking of a 6in lift.
I have a 2002 Chevy Suburban LT 2500 6.0, basically a luxury land whale.
I have a 2001. Reliable as fuck, UPS trucks got em and they trash them but it holds up really well. The 6.0 is a beast

I love these suburbans. I have an 05 Suburban Z71 4x4 that i bought for just $2300. Will keep it forever.

I have an 04 suburban and it’s great for family or even if you have alot of friends. It’s basically a better version of a van with 4wd

5.3 with a whipple supercharger works great for me. Fun truck

The acceleration, braking and handling are pretty significantly hampered by those wheels and tires. It’s an even better machine on stock or stock-ish size wheels and tires.

Some of the last good vehicles Chevy made. These things were almost bullet proof. They ain’t no Honda or Toyota but they are very solid. The gas mileage is straight up terrible though 🤣. I wish my dad never sold his 2004 Suburban. I learned how to drive in it
I just acquired a 2004 Suburban last year from my Aunt and I have slowly but surely getting it tip too, love the vehicle, my 1st Suburban and my favorite car I have ever had. I can fit so much sh%t in it it’s ridiculous

I got my suburban on some 35s but It didn't burn much gas before I got the mud tires but still does good for its size
Stock axles? Picked up a 91 suburban on 37s. Love it to death but with stock axles and gears idk if I should upgrade to a 14bolt/d60 or just switch to 35s

Tyler Frank Mine gave out after putting 33s on my 01 Suburban it won’t go into any gears haha luckily for me I have another truck to use for now but I love my suburban no matter what, I’ll keep it forever.
My buddy went through about 4 junkyard 4L60Es in 2 months in his 1500 so he finally sprung for a monster transmission 4L60e....which promptly blew up after about 7 months. He thought it was something he was doing wrong. So he brought it too a well respected shop who fixed it only to have it, yup you guessed it...blow up again lmao.

I just finished the video my 04 suburban is way different that one 😳 for example I have the barn style rear doors and I have a lot more features besides only being 4wd and can go to 4 low
U might have a different trim level. What he was driving was an ls trim.
They stopped making the ambulance doors in 2003. If yours is a 2004 like mine, you've got the liftback hatch.

What size are the rims and tires? And how much of a lift do you have?
Tires are 35s. Lift is 6" Rough Country.
My 2004 looks nothing like yours. Mine has buttons on the steering wheel. And more buttons on the door.

This is a great video man! I'm wanting to lift my 99 Suburban c1500 2WD. The lift kit online is about $900....what would a ballpark price be for labor? I'm not too sure, and scared to get ripped off. Thanks man!
Local shop charges 1k for labor on 4x4 models.

I was gonna say.. I have an 05 no issues 300k.. but my gmc pickup also an 05 is on its third transmission lol she has been beat on but nothing that should kill a transmission

That 5.3 is not an ls its an ls base the block is made of iron with ls parts the ls engine blocks are made of aluminum
totally false, the 5.3 is in the ls family. So is the 6.0 and 8.1
