    Thank you so much for yet another easy to understand video tutorial! I do have a question, I’m using completely different yarn and a smaller hook than yours as I’m making baby trainers and scratch mittens in a style and wanted the same for the bib too. So could you let me know how long the bottom is and the sides too so I can alter the stitch count. I did the initial 22 and it was basically as long as my finger lol it would be great as a doll bib but not a newborn :) thanks in advance!!!!

    I have tried the video on multiple devices as well as on different wifis--an error message occurs each time half-way through. I am going to switch over to the written pattern, however, it might be worth looking into on your end? (If it's not me, it's you, RUclips Help says--but with these kinds of things I honestly do not know). This seems to be the most popular baby bib crochet video so I don't want others to miss out on all the fun! Thank you for a wonderful tutorial, this is my second time using it.

    I just cannot get the FDC down, can i just chain 22 and do 22 DC into my foundation chain?

    • @queseimo919
      @queseimo919 8 лет назад +3

      I'm new to this and I couldn't get it either, so I chained 3 and started the DC that way and just chained 1 after each DC and it turned out the same.

    Great video but the boarder doesnt make sense to me.. why do a slip stitch around and then add a single crochet with white?? theres no holes after you slip stitch around.. the second time around is nearly impossible to get the crochet hook into / find or count proper amount of loops.. It just didnt work but its fine without a boarder or i will modify the boarder at the end doing it my own way cause man that almost ruined the whole thing at the end

    Hi, Can it be done just by a regular chain of 22 then double crochet?

    • @Octarin
      @Octarin 7 лет назад

      it can, but chain might give a shrank bottom so the dc foundation chain is preferable. not much elasticity in regular chain. i use foundations in all projects.

  • @shiraw7095
    @shiraw7095 9 лет назад

    Sometimes your patterns are hard to follow, only because when you say a double crochet we call it a treble in Australia, and some other stiches we call different, do you have a written out pattern?

    • @HappyBerryCrochet
      @HappyBerryCrochet  9 лет назад

      Shira W That is because I use US terminology, and it sounds like you use UK terminology. There is a written pattern for this bib, you can find the link in the description.

    In your written pattern it says there is 27 sts after row 2, but for row 3 in your video tutorial you said we will only have 26. Does it make a difference?

    • @HappyBerryCrochet
      @HappyBerryCrochet  6 лет назад +1

      Sometimes my videos or written versions improve on each other so there can be differences, usually both work

  • @cheryllarson1245
    @cheryllarson1245 10 лет назад

    Hi, I have watched this video twice now and am a little confused on the row count. I followed through to the second strap to row 23 and 24 where you do the DC Dec twice and 3 DC in last stitch, then 3 DC in 1st st and 2 DC Dec. On what should have been row 25 (my count) you said row 30 for the next 8 rows. Did I miss 5 rows somewhere?
